We're in an insurance rental after someone hit my wife's car -- never a fun situation to begin with -- but Zach, Sam, and Sophia somehow turned this whole experience into something surprisingly positive. I swear these three must have Jedi training. Patient with every single question, remembered details I forgot I even said, and somehow managed to hunt down an electric vehicle for us -- which is nearly a mythical creature in rental fleets right now. Zach is the calm problem-solver, Sam works like she's secretly running mission control for NASA, and Sophia has the type of customer service energy that makes you forget you're dealing with insurance paperwork in the first place. And huge shout-out to Jen over at the "Exotic Rentals" location on Autopilot Drive. I don't know what her official title is, but I'm pretty sure she's the one actually holding the multiverse together. She helped from behind the scenes like she's done this in another lifetime. Bottom line? This is one of the very rare rental car teams that operates with hustle, humor, and actual humanity. Not just "here's the keys, good luck." More like "don't worry -- we got you." Enterprise has changed the enforcement of their policies. I had been going there for a year using a Debit card with no problems. Today I went in and was told I needed 3 proofs of residence. I took a lyft to enterprise to visit my child in another state and did not have anyone to get three proofs of residence on the spot for me. The "GM" branch person did not wish to do anything for me. It was the worst customer service I've ever recieved, having gone there multiple times in the past. I said you're screwing my whole day up and he said "sorry". Really disappointed with my experience. This was my first time renting a car, and they kept my entire deposit over an alleged "cleaning fee" without any clear explanation. They claimed the vehicle smelled like smoke, which is completely false I don't smoke, and no one smoked in the car during my rental. I also returned the vehicle with more gas than when I picked it up, yet that wasn't acknowledged either. What made the experience even worse was the poor communication. I received no phone call, no proper explanation, and no effort to resolve the issue just a charge and no accountability. The lack of transparency left me questioning how these fees are determined. Based on my experience, I felt the charge was unfair and the entire process was handled poorly. I expected honesty, professionalism, and clear communication, but instead I was left feeling like my deposit was taken without sufficient justification. I purchased the extra insurance for $27 that covers the rental vehicle 100%. And I'm so glad I did because the windshield got cracked and I had no idea how it happened but it was covered. Recently had to get a rental while my auto was being repaired. Used Enterprises as it was near. They did not give me an equivalent but the outback wasn't bad just big and I had to keep calling for instructions. Returning is a bit tricky unless you want to leave it at the auto repair. You suddenly come across all the rental companies. Quick check-in and out. Only issue is I used my transponder and I hope it picked up all my toll charges and I don't get a big bill. I rented a car from Enterprise at Logan Airport in Boston. There was an issue with my rental not starting on Day 2, which happens. The reason I gave them 5 stars is because of how they handled it. I needed to get to a medical procedure 45 minutes away and only had a small window to make the appointment on time. Enterprise immediately got an Uber to pick me up and take me there in time for the appointment! They also sent me a Uber to pick me up again after and bring me back to Enterprise to get a new vehicle. Getting the new car was also very simple. They took great care of me in a high-stress situation because of the medical appointment that I needed to get to. The replacement car was great and had no problems. They also marked the fuel empty so I wouldn't have to fill it up with fuel before returning it. Any place can rent you a car. Enterprise came through when something went wrong and that's when you really need them to step up. Enterprise stepped up. read more

It took an hour and a half for us to finally be in our car and on our way...I called the location several times and was placed on extended holds where I simply hung up and tried again later. I overheard my repair shop, say there were 7 cars waiting for pick up. We waited almost an hour to be picked up, and each time we called, we were told someone was "on the way" The only saving grace, was the friendliness of the employees. They were earnest and helpful, but there simply was not enough of them. Even though our Agent was clearly busy, she was warm and caring as she helped us despite failing technology which made her start over several times. Shame on Enterprise for running an operation without enough employees. You did not set these employees up for success The car was unwashed, with mud caked in the wheel wells, and the floor mats were removed with dirt on the floor. To make matters worse, the car had a faint smell of cigarettes. I had to use Enterprise because of my insurance and this experience did not make me a future customer. read more

They left me a lousy voicemail and tried running my card (without approval and before drop off) and after i called back they did state how its conflicting. Feel like theyre only concerned about money and trying to sell you cars, not actual customer service. Definitely wont return here again. read more

Everything from the reservation, pick up, and return went so smoothly! I was impressed with how friendly and professional each member of the staff was and they had the perfect vehicle for my trip. Tim drove me over to their lot and the perfect van was there for me to rent. Once returned, I was charged the correct amount and even given a curtesy call as I used the drop box to return the key. **SCAM ALERT** They rented us a car with scratches all over and a cracked taillight. My wife picked up the vehicle and met up with me immediately after. The first thing I noticed about the vehicle was the cracked taillight (it was dark out). I assumed it was appropriately documented because it was glaringly obvious but when we returned they are trying to pin it is. This is blatant fraud and I was hoping this would be resolved without needing to take additional steps but that is not the case. Please avoid this place and if you have to go through them, be sure to take a full video and photos because they may come in handy. read more

We rented a BMW for a week because our car was in the shop. So insurance paid for the rental. They asked us before the week was up if we could bring back the car for it to be serviced and we would be given a different car. We should've just kept it anyway because it was their fault for lending it to us, but we were nice enough to exchange anyway. We got another vehicle that was def. not as nice, but it was a cheaper rental. Anyways, we returned that when it was due back so we wouldn't be charged any further fees. Not to mention, we brought the car back first thing in the morning. We were charged a liability fee which was not explained to us that it would be out of pocket charge. So we were thinking insurance would cover that. Not only we were charged once for it, but twice since they had us turn in the BMW for the other car. This was sneaky and completely unprofessional. I hope this review helps someone else not get screwed over paying $140 out of pocket. read more

The team at this Enterprise has easily changed my idea of fast in-out service. I think the whole transaction took less than 7mins. John was the first gent I met, but spoke with Rachel on the phone, who was very warm and fuzzy! This is what you want in the service-oriented industry. John was personable and funny, explained everything. The short of the story is that I was having my car worked on by Dulles Auto Body (which is the place to go for anything car-body related!) I have typically rented from the Dulles airport location solely due to convenience, but recently learned about the additional costs with the airport location. I decided to rent through the Lane Court location. I had requested a minivan, but when I went to pick it up I was told it wasn't available due to some logistical issues on their part. Kyle and Carlos were helping us with the reservation. As soon as they realized that the van wasn't available, they immediately made arrangements for an upgrade. I have used Enterise several times but my last experience with them I feel I was taken advantage of and parts of the rental agreement were not clearly and completely explained to me. I was offered coverage for the rental at what I understood was a $21 and some cents. I have insurance but figured for $21 I would sign up for that. I get my credit card statement today and there is a charge of $458.41 from Enterprise. Long story short I am now being told that was $21 a day not a one time fee. Enterprise told me there were several charges before that should have alerted me to this plus several phone calls. None of my past statements have any charges from them. I had phone calls alerting me my own insurance coverage was getting close to the end of the coverage period. After speaking with 3 people there, they are refusing that misinformation was given to me and they will not refund any money. Needless to say I cannot recommend this company and will not use Tham again. read more

I'm giving one star because there's no ability to give NEGATIVE 10- definitely not the branch that follows the Enterprise philosophy of "family owned, makes a difference... We love going the extra mile...Simply treat our customers the way they should be treated" - Far from it! What they showed me is lack of customer service, refused to answer my calls ... Or help me. Steve promised to call me back and it's been an hour and a half... I had a reservation through my insurance it was easier to say we are booked than assisting to find another location or calling another location to have a car delivered. I know they have the ability because they have done it for me before. I was kept on hold for 12 minutes (which is the max hold time) transferred to a non working voicemail. I'm on hold as I'm typing this! All of this because they did not want to pick me up from my home! What is scary is that almost everyone at this location is a Manager in training- To the owners - these kids have a LOT to learn in customer service! I don't know how you stay open with such poor service- As for the previous experience they had the nerve to over charge me- requested an itemized bill and I'm waiting to see how this William out... Sooo on 8/29/16- if things don't get any better this place will close! I waited for 55 minutes to be picked up from my auto repair place. One excuse after the other! No accountability. Poor follow up! When the owner of the car repair place called he was given a different story- he too wondered why he wasn't called to be updated. Finally picked up 60 minutes later- had to open my own door (struggled with the automatic door) - Get it together enterprise!!! Service is getting worst by each experience. I wish they had -10 stars. They are not deserving of any! This is by far the most incompetent group of individuals I have experience from both management and staff. Epic failure! -They placed me in a vehicle that needed and oil change/ and told me it was fine. -Demanded information from me and when I was hesitant to provide they stated my card would be billed for any thing that happened to the vehicle when we both knew everything goes through claims and my insurance first. -They gave away a car intended for me while I was standing in their office after I already made an appointment for it -Never tried to put me in a car that doesn't have the oil light on. -Gas was on empty. -Lacked efficiency. -Never followed up with my concerns, even a month later -They were reluctant to provide any follow up -Had a used car sales man vibe I would never recommend Enterprise for everyday or corporate matters. We scheduled a pick up time a week in advance from a nearby autobody shop. They were two hours late, but continued to lie to us by saying the driver was on his way. When we finally got the car it was a piece of garbage. We mistakenly took the car, but called them back within an hour and said were bringing it back because it was unacceptable. The woman did a quick inspection when we brought it back and said there would not be a charge. I just received a reimbursement notice from my insurance company from the auto body place and it showed a $47.00 deduction from Enterprise for a day's rental. You guys suck! read more

Horrible business! I got my rental for about 2 months because my car was at the shop. They kept on charging my cc over and over without notify me or at least have the decency to email me the grand total. In the end, I found out they were over charging me for the rental and when I called, tried to resolve the issue, one of their representative was not helpful at all. I was in a car accident in early March (not my fault) and the other drivers insurance recommended me go to the body shop next door to this Enterprise (as his insurance was covering it). The body shop fixing my car was a fiasco and unacceptable, but the guys at this Enterprise were great and helped me out a lot! I was very stressed out and I think the guys here could tell. They were so helpful! They gave me a brand new 2015 VW Passat with only 2,000 miles on it for me to use until my car was done (which I was only told it would take 4 days by the body shop but took 13 days). The car still had the brand new smell and was clean and was in great condition. I really enjoyed driving the car! I had to go back to the body shop a lot since they kept messing up my car and doing damage to it, so Enterprise extended my rental term not once but twice. I explained the issues to these guys here and they were so friendly and helpful, I cant say that enough! If I need to rent another car, I will come back to these guys. But Ill never use the body shop (Craftsman Caliber Collision) again ( and I don't recommend!) The customer service of the guys here was great for me, I would recommend this Enterprise location! read more

Experience originally was good. Had to get a rental due to my car being repaired due to a car accident (other driver's insurance paying for repair & rental). Going out of town and knowing how busy they were during the holidays, I decided (like a moron) to return the car so they could use it rather than have it parked at my home for close to a week...got another one upon my return. The agent asked if I wanted the additional insurance and I stated "no" (as I always do as my own insurance covers). He indicated to me where on his iPad to initial & sign which I did. Upon returning the car I get hit with a $389 insurance fee (plus another $178 still on hold on my credit card). I argue it as from the beginning I had stated I did not need the insurance, and they tell me there is nothing that can be done as the second car was under a new contract & I initialed for it. The Nissan Rogue they gave me by the way, was filthy both inside & out. Just this week I needed to rent another car and purposely went to another Enterprise due to the bad experience at the 202 Lane Court location. Went through the same process and confirmed IT IS the agent who checks off on their iPad whether you want the additional insurance, then they move forward to the next step and you initial & sign. I trusted the rep had checked off what I requested, and unfortunately did not go back to check. Watch out & pay close attention - very sneaky way to get you stuck with a charge for something you did NOT ask for! read more

Enterprise was a lifesaver! The insurance company that was responsible for repairing my car had reserved a car for me with another rental company. On the day I was to have picked up the rental car, the car repair shop informed me that they had called Enterprise because the other company had no cars available at that moment. A representative from Enterprise picked me up and drove me to their office. They were very courteous, professional, and efficient. When I returned the car, a representative drove me to the repair shop to get my car. I was very please with the rental car and had no problems with it during the 5 days I used it. Small office next to a body shop... I did not get a sedan initially and was given only option for a kia minivan. Very incomfortable. Then, I went in next day to get my car swapped to a sedan, i was promised toyota camry but got a kia optima. Anyways, i will not rent from this location again. They are doing pretty well with pick up arrangements from nearby body shops. I dont think customer service matters :-) read more
