I would like to start off by saying that I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review, however, after this almost 3-month long experience...... I have to. This was the worst rental car experience that I have ever encountered with an enterprise agency. I went ahead and I took precautions and purchased the damage waiver, and the insurance policy just to be safe and for peace of mind. The employee walked the car, wrote in his notes some damages, and sent me on my way. Very polite young man. Went about my way, returned the car. No problems. Excellent, right?? Wrong. Because here is where the story turns bad. About 2 weeks later, I receive a letter from something called the enterprise damage recovery unit. I said, well that's odd, because I wasn't notified of any damages when I went to return the car? So, I called enterprise in Stuart directly to get to the bottom of what this claim could possibly be about. I call and speak with a woman named Kathy and told her exactly what was happening. My story from beginning to end. She was able to look into her computer system and actually discovered that the claim was submitted and written on a date PRIOR to when I even had the car. She told me that I'd need to wait to speak with the "claim guy" and he will return my call when he gets back. Okay, no problem. So, I call back the next day. And here is where the run around begins. I tell my story AGAIN, but, this time it was to a manager. His name was Auggie. After explaining to Auggie what had happened, (that Kathy had found out the claim was written on a different date AND that the exact damages that I was being blamed for were NOTED on my initial walk through upon picking up the car for the first time.), he basically said that he'd need to talk to the claim guy and that he would call me back after doing so. Okay, no problem, day three comes and STILL nobody has returned my call. No manager... no claim guy... nothing. The absolute lack of urgency is absurd. I am getting the "claim guy" run around. Day three, I call and speak to a young man and tell him EXACTLY the same thing. He tells me, "Oh yes, I remember that walk through. I wrote that walk through so I'm not sure why this claim is happening because I remember documenting said damage during our walkthrough" He said he will call me back tomorrow. To my surprise, he calls me back that same night! wow! Great sense of urgency from this young man. He says he spoke to his assistant manager, and that I was all set and ready to go and to disregard any future mail from enterprise and that the claim had been reversed. Great! ........... nope. SIX WEEKS after being told the above information, I was contacted TODAY 2/26/25 by the actual damage recovery unit from enterprise. I spoke to a wonderful woman from there who basically told me that the Stuart location had never gone in and reversed the claim like they had told me. THIS person is who helped me, (or so I hope) and actually closed the entire case of the claim. Unless you want an absolute nightmare of a rental experience then please do not bring your business here. They will 100% try to take advantage of the damage waiver that you purchased and lazily pin something on you that you didn't do. Then, they will take a major lack of accountability and not rectify the situation. Absolutely shameful read more

For 7 years we used Enterprise Stuart almost exclusively. No longer. Do not use them because of us but because what they will do to you. We reserved a Ford F150 from them 2 weeks ago and came out of the lot with a Nissan Rogue, laughable. But the last straw, after spiraling downward for the last few years, is reserving another Ford F150, a week ahead of time, and being stranded with the attached message. Not reliable, not trustworthy. And the website is laughable, you cannot rent a Ford F150, they will immediately defer to "a large Truck" like the Rogue they rented to us 2 weeks ago. I was in need for a car rental while my car was being repaired at the dealership. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. What stood out most was the amount of patience they had with a rude customer. There was an obnoxious man waiting for a rental. He was using his cell phone in the lobby yelling at people on the other end that he was worth $250/hr and how that he shouldn't have to wait. He kept making calls yelling at people on the other end and leaving voicemails here and there. He was entitled and pompous. Anyhow, the customer service rep (Melissa) kept her cool and continued to assist and update the entire waiting room despite the annoying man. The gentleman outside (Charles) and one other gentleman (didn't catch his name) was hustling trying to accommodate everyone. Thankfully they got the rude a*s a car. When he left, the entire waiting room was mocking him for being entitled. The customer service women continued to remain professional and calm. Very impressive! Not sure who is in charge here but so far I've been waiting 43 mins for the car I reserved. They make you wait outside in the heat. So far this has been a long sweaty experience unfortunately. I usually pick up cars at the airport and it's quick and easy. This has not been a positive experience so far and it looks like I'll be waiting a while longer. Not the Enterprise experience I'm used to. UPDATE: I waited well over an hour for my car. One of the employees I spoke to said it happens all the time- as you see below, the official response from Enterprise is for me to call customer service. SERIOUSLY?!?! If they really cared they could have looked up my reservation from Mon morning- I bet I'm the only David B at this location renting a car on that particular morning. If this happens 'all the time' perhaps you schedule the car cleaning crew to come in an hour earlier so cars are ready. I'd highly recommend whoever is running this location to take more of a customer focused approach. VERY DISAPPOINTED Enterprise- especially with your dismissive response. The worst experience ever!!!!!! I've been calling over and over the last 3 days spending a total of over 3 hours trying to get ahold of this branch to extend my rental!!! It rings and then puts you on a hold and then tells you to try your call again later after 15 minutes of waiting. Horrible customer service!!!!! I live 45 minutes away so I couldn't go to the store due to working and was told all you have to do to extend your rental is to call the branch. Well, good luck with that because this branch never answers the phone!!!!!!! UPDATE: So I emailed the email David asked me to almost 24 hours ago and still NOTHING!!!!!! No response, been trying to call the branch multiple times again today and same thing!!!!!!! This is absolutely unacceptable!!! I've never dealt with such a horrible customer service!! I was given a car that had been smoked in. Because of the fragrance they used and the windows being down I didn't realize until early the next morning. When I called the next morning, the office told me to take it to any enterprise and they would trade the car in for me. I spent time and money on my trip going to two separate enterprise locations, neither of which would trade the car in for me. When I called and spoke to manager Augie, he said I should've told them it was a mechanical issue. I called several times since my return and left messages for manager Auggie-he never returns calls. SCW and I needed to rent a truck to get a few things moved and after some research decided upon Enterprise. The price was right and I'm a emerald member so I figured renting would be quick and easy. However that wasn't really the case. This was my first experience with a stand alone rental car place meaning it's not connected to an airport or travel center. Perhaps my experience is how it's done at all of them, but hopefully not. Once we arrived we were greeted and had a seat as someone was being helped. We sat for probably 10 minutes before it was our turn. After pulling up the reservation, license and credit card checked, go sit back down and they come get you when you vehicle is ready. Go out with the agent and inspect the vehicle together, noting the dents and dings or other damage as well as the fuel level. Our truck was literally on empty for fuel which I was told to return it at the same level. That was quite annoying as instead of getting in and off you go, I got in and.......went to the gas station. Of course I have no idea how much fuel I'm going to use and return the truck on empty as it went out that way so I overspent on fuel. Why not just implement a policy to return the vehicle full of fuel like normal places? Annoying to say the least. At the vehicle I experienced the high pressure additional insurance pitch which I declined in the office and all I want to do is sign and get on with my day. Yet another tedious part of renting from this agency. I just want to get the vehicle, pay, and go but it seemed at every step along the way I was slowed down by little things. The truck itself was great, did it's job, and return went slightly quicker. However expect to wait a bit as you have to meet with an agent, inspect the vehicle, and finalize charges. That took an extra few minutes as I had to wait for an agent to become available etc. Perhaps my expectations were too high. At an airport you go to the counter or even straight to the vehicle, check it for damage and go to the check out booth. Easy. However not here. Expect the process to take longer and you'll be prepared. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had. Someone hit me, so his insurance was supposed to set up the rental. When I got there they had no info at all about me. They said I needed to call State Farm. One hour wait for customer service. The girl who waited on me was the least helpful employee ever. If she worked for me, she'd be fired. When a man came to help I said I was angry that State Farm hadn't done anything, he began telling me it was my insurance, not their fault, no reason to be mad at them. Customer service requires politeness, doing whatever you can to assist the customer. I will never use Enterprise again, they lost a good customer. I was having my car serviced at Audi of Stuart. They were out of loaners so they set me up with one from Enterprise of Stuart. The agent asked me if I wanted insurance. I said no that I had State Farm so I didn't need it. He gave me a sales pitch saying it was only going to be $29.99 with no worries, no hassle dealing with my insurance, even if the car got totaled. My wife, who was standing there and heard the same thing I did, said sure, why not. This was on Thursday July 19th. The rental contract said the anticipated return was the next day. The repair took much longer. I received a call on the following Monday from who I think was Angela. She was asking why I still had the loaner. I told her my car was still being worked on. She then reminded me that I was being charged $29.99 Per Day, for insurance. I said I was told it was $29.99, period. Not per day. I told her to cancel it. She said I could but would have to drive the car to them for inspection, 1/2 an hour Each way. I said I would try to get there the next day. I ended up being charged $239.92. I complained to my service rep at Audi and she promised me she would talk to them but nothing ever came of that. my point is this, the agent thought he was getting me a car for one day, thus saying it was only $29.99. He indicated that on the rental agreement, anticipated return the next day. I did talk to him and he said he would never have told me it was a flat fee or $29.99. He was sorry I misunderstood but he couldn't help me I have tried to contact this Angela but no one ever answers the phone. After reading the reviews for this branch I can see why I was given the run around. I think the agent made an honest mistake thinking I was going to have the car for one day. The manager should have worked with me and come up with at least a partial credit. She never tried to contact me to try to fix the situation. I have used Enterprise when going on vacations and probably will again. But i will never use this branch again, I will tell anyone who will listen to steer clear of Enterprise unless there is no other choice. Horrible customer service! Do waste your time!!! I was told i would have a rental on Wednesday, which they then had to push it back to Thursday. Thursday morning became a pick up Thursday after 4pm. Still "unavailable" due to 2 cars needing to be vacuumed but would be ready Friday @9am. Friday morning i was told that both SUVs needed an oil change and they would call me around 12-1 to pick up. Here I am at 5:30p and they're telling me one wont be avail until Monday and the other was damaged in a car accident on Wednesday. Two months ago my boyfriend had reserved a convertible to surprise me with a weekend get away along the coast and when we got to Enterprise they DID NOT have any convertibles. We arrived before time and waited on a line outside. There was no consideration and or remorse about it, they simply offered us another car(NOT CONVERTIBLE). When we declined, they simply walked away. Fast Forward... Like a fool, I reserved a convertible for my daughters homecoming parade two weeks prior, then called two days before, to ensure I'd have a convertible. While speaking with Alan, who was pretty dismissive, I explained my reservations and he reassured me that I'd have a convertible. The day before my pick up for 9am, I received a texted message at 6:31pm (they were already closed) stating that there was a "delay on the returns of convertibles so we have to push back your.. we will give you a call when one becomes available". I frantically called around town but everything was closed. I called Enterprise first thing in the morning and spoke with Camar (not sure of spelling) to explain the situation and his response was if I was ok with a hard top... when I said No he said he would call me back in 5 minutes. 16 minutes passed and no call back. What is the point of reserving a convertible???? I ended up going to West Palm and BUDGET had a convertible for me. On my drive I called Enterprise and asked to speak to Alan or Camar and Augie(not sure of spelling) told me that they were both outside with a customer. I asked to speak with the Supervisor or Manager and Augie said he was that person. I explained my concerns and instead of being apologetic he offered me a hard top, when I declined he said "so you don't want it?, ok have a good day." The LACK of Customer Service and LACK of politeness at this location is embarrassing to the organization. I have referred many clients to them. That will definitely stop. I will not use them again. We were quoted a rate by two separate employees at this location that was fair and reasonable and in keeping with the current agreement they have with our insurance agent. The manager (Augie) intervened and refused to honor what his employees had previously quoted, as well as what was in keeping with our insurance agreement. Augie was rude, extremely difficult to deal with, and seemed to take great pleasure in negating the information his employees had given us. He is clearly using his position of "power" to condescend to people who are in need of his services. We are a family of Veterans and First Responders, and he was unwilling to take that information into consideration. If you are going to rent a car from Enterprise, utilize any location BUT the Stuart, FL location. My car got worked on at Custom Auto Center they referred me to go to this location I came here I forgot to put funds on my debit card so when he ran the card it didn't go through he told me that he can't process or run the card within another 24 hours I had to take an Uber all the way from Stuart to Palm Beach Gardens for him to tell me that and then do it again I went home Cena my bank that he didn't even try to do the transaction the next day he told me he didn't have any cars and he told me that I have to wait 24 hours to run the card again which that was a complete lie I ended up going to a Northlake location and everything went fine and I was sitting in their parking lot in the hot sun for over an hour and a half there shadow was a Ford focus with a smashed windshield dirty stains all in the car completely dirty read more
