Just dropped off my rental and I'm not satisfied with their customer service. I reserved a small vehicle which wasn't availed at my reservation pick up. Just before I dropped off today, I noticed my bank account was over drafted with a charge I did not authorize. They said they tried to contact me but the only text I have is from the day I picked it up. They also extended my reservation for two extra weeks. It's not right to steal money out of peoples accounts. More attempts should have been made to communicate with the customer to confirm reservation extensions and payment. read more

Just returned another car after a two week rental. Once again a seamless experience picking up and dropping off. There was one small snafu with a final price discrepancy that after noticing (looking back at the original reservation price compared to what was charged) but a simple phone call to them and Raj looked into it and found that at a different office where we had stopped to add a driver to the rental contract they inadvertently took off the weekly rate. I reserved a Toyota Camry, or similar; when I arrived they didn't have one and put me in a Hyndai Tucson. I wouldn't consider that similar to a Camry. The Tucson they gave me was mechanically unsound; I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get back home. I was told the car was fine, it was just my lack of driving experience; I've been driving for 50 years. It takes a lot for me to make time to write a review but I've rented from this place so often and our most recent experience was so awesome, I had to get on here & share a review. Earlier this year we needed a rental due to a car accident with my car, which was a first, and the manager Demetrius was fantastic in patiently explaining the protocol and procedure on how it worked and how things are processed with the insurance companies which is greatly appreciated because googling or asking the insurance agents wasn't going well. Anyway, pick-up, transport, communication was so great it made the whole process of having gone through my accident bearable, Demetrius customer service was friendly & reliable which is hard to come by nowadays. He went above our expectations in service & made transitions pleasantly easy. Most recently, we rented from this branch at least 4 times in the last few months & whether it's a quick reservation for a conference or a planned family trip with kids, our needs are always met because of Demetrius & his team. My partner lives in Suisun & works in Oakland so we use to only rent in Fairfield or Oakland, but because of the great experience and customer service we receive with this manager & his staff, we always go out of our way to come to Vallejo's Enterprise Branch first before considering to look elsewhere. Excellent customer Service will always outweigh any inconvenience that arises. Even if they don't have our initial request available, Demetrius & his team does his absolute best to accommodate us. I know at times our last minute reservations leaves us with slim pickings, however Demetrius' fantastic customer service, friendly & respectful manner in how he communicates makes the selection pleasantly smooth. We leave satisfied every time & we always refer our family & friends to this branch because of that! We're always renting for road trips so we'll definitely be back again. Although all of my experiences here haven't been positive, I'm writing this review only in hopes of getting a response. The manger is ok however, I've been renting from this locating for about the last 6 months maybe... I had some safety brakes in 2 different cars. I asked for the issue to be addressed by corporate and management, never received a response (still would like to know). Ive continue to rent from the location because I ultimately have no other option at this time. My last two rentals I did keep past the contract time so but the first rental didn't have a balance however when I went to leave the second rental I was late to work and needed to leave immediately. I wasn't told I have a balance so I booked another rental. This time I extended the rental longer than previously to ensure I returned on time, only because on the last rental I did get a text asking to return the car. It was also my mom's birthday so I didn't want to return the car and I knew i would need it within the next few days. When I go to the office the manager told me I was I on a do not rent list for 6 months because I had a $41 balance. I asked why and was told because I don't the turn their cars and my balance. I've been trying to pay the $41 but the number I was given doesn't work. I've texted Patricia and no response the numbers I've been given to try to resolve this don't work. Almost got scammed. I originally reserved a standard SUV for 2 weeks. The rep gave me a small looking SUV(Jeep Compass) and when asked, she confirmed without hesitation that it was a standard SUV. When I got home, we looked at the trunk it can barely fit 2 luggages. I called the local location and it was confirmed by another employee that indeed it was not a standard SUV but a crossover instead. I was told that the rep can call me back as soon as someone return a correct SUV. A few hours later, they were able to give me the correct size SUV(Toyota 4runner) without any apologies, compensation for waiting and holding our trip for a few hours and driving back, and acknowledging their intentional deception. I was deliberately sent home with a smaller car for a price of a bigger one... a couple hundreds difference. You can't make this up read more

Their mediocre customer service/efficiency skills can use a lot of work. Every time I have to use these people it's always a terrible experience. Their main goal is to give you any car from their site no matter what, but that's not the only focal point. They do not disclose important fees that may occur, they will put you in a car that is not ergonomically safe to drive. They don't care about you. So if you just want to drive in a car and pay whatever they charge you, with out you knowing or authorizing, go there :) read more

They have answered all my questions and attended to me to check my concerns without delay. I am only writing one star because of Alex and Ivan. I had my reservation transferred from Fairfield to Vallejo because Vallejo said they had a standard SUV available for me to pick up on 8/31 at 1pm. I called at 1:00 PM when my vehicle was supposed to be ready, I spoke with the young lady she said the vehicle was still in route to come at 2 o'clock. She said no need to call because it will be here clean and ready for me to take it. I get to enterprise at 2:35 PM. I was advised that the person must have mixed my reservation up with someone else because they have no standard SUV's and the one that came from Vacaville was for someone else! How is that possible when my standard SUV was supposed to be there at 1 o'clock and when I called it was in route. While extremely apologetic they put me in this weak 2020 tore up Hyundai that really should be taken out of service. It has a star in the windshield a broken side mirror wasn't clean. The only reason I accepted it was because I had to be back to work. I just called and per usual they have you on hold forever. There are literally 4 people behind the counter but only one person helping someone and one person answering the calls. I just realized that they close at 5, I can't even take this POS back until tomorrow. This has been the absolute worse rental experience ever. If they don't have a suitable option I'll rent from Hertz as this is insane. UPDATE: Major shout out to Ana and she's the only reason this is being updated. She found me 2 acceptable options to chose from & threw in a few concessions for my extreme inconvenience. That's top notch customer service and she deserves a raise and recognition from the company. Horrible experience. I don't doubt that some people have a good experience, but the bad experience I describe below evidences multiple problems that ought not exist in a well run car rental company. So, do business with Enterprise at your peril. I won't be back. We live in Sonoma and reserved a car for Saturday though Wednesday for pick up at 2:00 PM Saturday. This was a big holiday for us, getting together in Sonoma with our five children for an extended Fathers Day and 33rd Wedding Anniversary weekend. We thought we would be picking up the car at Enterprise in Sonoma, but the address given to us by phone was unfamiliar so we asked and were told me it was in Vallejo. We were disappointed at having to drive to Vallejo for pickup, but felt lucky that we asked. PROBLEM 1. Driving to Vallejo for the Saturday 2:00 PM pickup, there was traffic so we called to say we would probably be a few minutes late, and were told they would be closing at 2:00 PM, so needed to get there by 2:00 PM or could not get the car. We complained that the confirmation said that the "pickup" was a 2:00 PM, not that the car "had to be picked up" by that time. PROBLEM 2. We said we were driving from Sonoma and if we had been told we had to be there by 2:00 we would have left earlier, but they said they could not stay open past 2:00. PROBLEM 3. We told them our GPS said we would be arriving at 2:01PM, and the agent said that would be too late. I argued that they "could" do so, and were just saying they "would" not do so, even though it was greatly inconveniencing us. I asked to speak to the supervisor, who said if we got there by 2:01 that would be OK. We got there at 2:05 PM and they were closed. PROBLEM 4. So we cancelled our Saturday plans, but still needed a car for the other four days, so even though we were VERY upset with Enterprise, we rearranged our Sunday plans to drive to Vallejo the next morning to pick up the car as soon as Vallejo Enterprise opened at 9:00 AM. When we arrived at about 9:10 AM, I told the agent I had come to pick up the car we had reserved for pickup at 2:00 PM the day before but had arrived a few minutes too late. The agent asked for my drivers license and auto insurance policy number. I told her I did not have the auto insurance information and nobody told me I would need it. PROBLEM 5. The agent said it made no difference because they now had no cars available anyway. PROBLEM 6. Worse yet, when I called between 2:00 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM Sunday to see where things stood, recorded messages said to call back after 9:00 AM, so had been no way to find what was going on until too late. PROBLEM 7. So, after a VERY rude oath, I left Vallejo Enterprise a second time without a car, and again rearranged our family holiday plans. All told, essentially wasting an entire day. read more

THIS TOOK ME A WHILE TO POST THIS SITUATION GIVES ME ANXIETY! In July 2024, tried to rent a vehicle to take a family trip to Disneyland. I checked in and I have a discount due to being a govt employee.I was asked for my employee ID I let them know I was on my lunch break so i didn't have it. The associate repeated that I needed my govt employee id to get the vehicle for this rate..So I had my husband go to retrieve it. Well while I was sitting waiting, the manager asking me questions about how many times I've rented there. And what I was waiting for. I let them know I've been to this location many times but I haven't rented within a year. He asked my name and I gave it to him, he says he's never seen me and my information is not in the system. I said that's odd I rented in May for a wedding in Vegas. I asked are you accessing from local rentals only? So this back n forth went on and I told myself let me stop although I was professional but I was getting concerned with the questioning. So i called my Husband and said this feels odd but please hurry. He said he was around the corner. As soon as he got there, I ran to get the id, to reference I was on my lunch break. I quickly provided the manager with my DL, credit card debit card and my govt ID. My husband walks in while I'm doing this. All of a sudden the manager says " You know what , we're not going to do this. take your things and leave you won't be renting from here today." I said what did I do, I got everything you asked for. I turned to my husband and asked him what did I do? He said nothing you did nothing. I have never been so humiliated insulted. I will not rent from this enterprise ever again. read more

I normally don't review big chains due to high turnover and inconsistent customer service, but I've had 2 great experiences here and thought it worth a review. My first experience was a few years ago when the insurance company gave me a rental after a car accident. Fast and friendly service, no hassle or issues. This time, I needed a vehicle to drive cross-country and Enterprise had the best rate and I even got a discount for reserving online and signing up for free rewards. I ended up only paying $515 to rent a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a whole week with unlimited miles and I paid $6/day for roadside assistance. Pick up was fast and easy, we were in and out within minutes. Store manager Demetrius texted me a few days later to make sure we were happy with our service and offered his assistance. This was a really nice touch, much appreciated. Return was also fast, easy, and hassle-free. I can't say enough nice things about my experience here and will definitely consider them for my next rental. read more

Demetrius, the manager in enterprise rent a car in Vallejo has the worst customer service I ever experience dealing with enterprise rent a car. Wasted my time, effort, gas money. I reserved a 7 seater van online and was approved and given reserved code. After 5 minutes that the van was reserved Demetrius called and left me and my husband a message letting us know that they don't have a van available. I called them again and the lady I spoke to said that the reservation is still active and not cancelled. So I drove 30 minutes to take the van in vain. Demetrius in the front desk said that they don't have a van available. What a waste. At first, I called Fairfield and Vacaville Enterprise rent a car which they said they don't have a van available and so I asked if they can tell in their system where Enterprise van available which they pointed Vallejo. So, Demetrius can't denied. I'm not sure why he refused my reservation. I don't recommend Vallejo rent a car dealing with manager Demetrius. read more

Because my insurance coverage had rental car coverage I was able to rent a car and it was a very seamless easy straight forward process. Make sure you get copies of your cost estimate, make sure you get copies of your invoicing - even if invoicing your insurance company. Enterprise Vjo released a car that was due for maintenance. I received the call to return the car the day after picking up. I was given a different car the 3rd day of the rental at Enterprise Napa. I didn't know any of the following until 3 months later when Enterprise charged my bank card without providing me an invoice, for the 2nd rental which should have been apart of my insurance claim. Break down: I was charged for 2 vehicles on first day of rental. They give me a vehicle that shows "maintenance due" on the odometer and requests I return and switch out. Have you waited in line at either business??? I'm at 2 hours waiting in line and a half hour of vacation time taking off work to get the vehicle turned in. I was billed for vehicle #1, day 1. I was billed for vehicle #2, for day 1, 2, 3, 4. Now I have Vehicle #3 (per invoice), I'm billed for Day 4 and 8 more days. I paid double for day 1 and day 4 (can't drive 2 cars at the same time) (the invoice shows I put 356 miles during those 9 days - it'd be an overstatement if they reported 20 miles.) miles aren't charged, it's the point. The worst thing about all of it is apparently Enterprise screwed up, they didn't include the 2nd invoice in the claims cost so 3 months later when they bill the insurance company, the invoice is rejected. Enterprise charges my bank card 3 MONTHS LATER for over $300 without providing me an invoice or a courtesy call to tell me hey - we're taking $300 dollars, or hey, your insurance company will not pay this invoice, can you help??? No, they charged $300 to my bank card. My bank's fraud line contacted me because it was an unusual charge. I called enterprise and they "had no record of the charge". (must have reached one of the morons.) In the mean time, my car registration was returned for non sufficient funds $273 because the enterprise charge took my last $300. So..... thinking someone got ahold of my bank card number, I closed that card. Had to get a new card, all my automatic payments were being returned, all the phone calls, my internet was shut off - I work from home - and I had to scramble to DMV before I was charged additional late fees, I already was charged $40 for the returned payment. I received notice from my bank that the charge was not fraud, that it was a legit charge made by Enterprise. 3 MONTHS LATER. Again, I find myself $300 OVERDRAWN because the bank reverse credited the initial what was thought to be fraud. I'm a 1 income household, I barely live month to month. Enterprise's incompetence has cost me late fees, lost work, and head ache switching bank card numbers with monthly accounts. Their creative invoicing is a whole other story that I refuse to give any more energy. There are very helpful people who work for enterprise and there are complete morons - a good faith effort would have been to come correct before taking $300 dollars- they could have easily informed me that they screwed up and give me some kind of notice that they had to charge me for the last 9 days of rental because they didn't bill my insurance timely or when it was appropriate. SHAME ON YOU ENTERPRISE for being such idiots. They screwed up over and over. The right thing to do would be to make it right immediately. I did my part, I gave them opportunity to come correct. instead they opt to be bad mouthed until I get over being so pissed - I'll get my money back, it should be they who cover the cost since they screwed up. I had a great experience a year ago. This time, I reserved an economy car for a good price via my insurance company website. It was bad from the start. Offputting smell at the counter. It was a large guy grinding up chips. He started helping me, and kept putting more chips in his mouth while talking, ugh. Then he took a long phone call. He never even looked at me. I waited and waited. He finally got off the phone and told me he was not going to help me anymore and the woman would finish my reservation. She was the phone and I waited and waited. During all this the third small guy was just standing there doing nothing. Then they say they don't have the small car I reserved. They only had a much more expensive one. I watched another customer who walked in after me get set ip in a small car!! Then the employee noted the gas tank was almost empty on the car they have me (really?) She was too busy to help me understand a few basics about the car like the great employees did the previous visit. They promised to put me on the call list or wait list for the small car I reserved. I called many times for over almost a week to check for a cheaper car, nothing. Really? Not one small car came back all that time ? At one point they told me that people who are using insurance are much lower priority and the small cars mostly go to people who have reserved privately. When returned the car I got a nasty surprise. They guess at how much gas was used. And charge $9 a gallon!!! The whole thing was expensive and it feels like these new employees don't even want customers.
