We encountered an issue with our original rental that could have easily made an already busy travel day much more stressful. From the moment I brought the situation to Justin's attention, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to helping. He listened to my concerns, took ownership of the situation, and did everything within his ability to make things right. I left feeling not only taken care of, but genuinely valued as a customer. What stood out to me even more was that my experience with Justin wasn't something that appeared to be reserved for my situation. During both pickup and drop-off, I had the opportunity to observe him interacting with other customers in the office. He was consistently patient, personable, and attentive, even while managing multiple demands at once. The level of service I received was clearly representative of how he approaches his work. I also noticed the way Justin interacted with his teammates. He treated them with the same respect and consideration he showed his customers and was willing to step in and help where needed. As someone with a background in Human Resources, I pay attention to those things. How an employee treats customers is important, but how they treat their colleagues when they don't necessarily realize someone is watching says just as much about their character and professionalism. Justin represented Enterprise extremely well throughout our experience. Employees like him are the reason customers remember a company positively after something doesn't initially go as planned. My wife's car was in the shop, so she needed a rental car to get to work. She chose to rent from this Enterprise in Fairfield, because the one in Vacaville did not have any cars available (we live in Vacaville). We rented for 1 week Saturday 1pm to Saturday 1pm) because we weren't sure when her car repair was going to be completed. The rental process was easy, booked online and then, go pick the car up. When we arrived there were 2 employees working the desk with customers, but we were greeted and told they will be with us once they finished working with current customers. Once they confirmed our reservation, we were taken out to the car, did the walk around, signed the rental agreement and paid for the car. They charge a $300 deposit which they will refund nice you return the car. The car was clean, but did not have a full tank of gas (only around 1/3 tank), but was told to return with that amount of gas. When we got home, my wife noticed that there was a keyfob for another car in the center console storage (we had rented Toyota Corolla and the found keyfob was for a Volkswagen Jetta). My wife's car repair was completed on Wednesday, so she returned the car around 5pm. She had read on their website that we would only be charged for the days rented and she also called to confirm that policy, but when she returned the car, she was told that she will still be charged the full amount of 1 week's rental because she returned it after 1pm (rented on Saturday 1pm, now Wednesday 5pm), so it would be considered a 5 day rental and after 4 days they need to charge a full week's rental charge. Well she was not told that when she called and nowhere on Enterprise's website did it state that. My wife does not like to argue, so she just left as she needed to go pick up her car at the dealer before 6pm. I feel that is very sketchy business practice! Next time we need a rental car, I will just go to Hertz just down the road as I have rented there before a few times without any issues. You may want to do the same thing as Enterprise at this location seems to have sketchy business practices. The Enterprise in Vacaville is very well run and seems to be much more honest! read more

I reserved a mini van. For my trip TOMORROW! They call me TONIGHT and tell me they have to cancel it or make me take a smaller vehicle (which won't fit my family). Or I can have an SUV but all of the terms (except the price) changes. When they finally said "let me escalate this" the person who calls me back is RUDE! And Hung up on me because she asked me how my day was going and I said not good because I have to find a new rental. Her response ok we'll cancel your reservation and hung up. Nothing else. She didn't even try to make it right! This place has been ghetto for a long time! That manager just proves it! May she have the day she's given to me! Fast forward to 2/17/26, and I get a text reminder for my reservation for 2/19/26 ... HELLOOOOOOOO.. I DON'T HAVE A RESERVATION WITH YOU FOR TODAY OR ANY OTHER DAY. M'Kayyyyy... so I called the 2101 N. TEXAS Fairfield location just now to get to the bottom of this (has to be a mixup). I dial the number and immediately get placed on hold. Surely they are busy, but not too busy to even say 'Helllo'. This store had me on hold for 20 minutes (and it would have been longer, but I hung up a second time to fire off this review). BUT LETS GO BACK... While on hold, someone inside the store occasionally picked up the phone line every 58 seconds (to protect their 1minute hold-time metrics for average call handling... you care more about LOOKING productive than answering the phone??? GTFOH), but they never once said 'hold please' or 'I'll be with you in just a moment'; no, they just picked up the phone (for just a split second... and yes, I heard the office noise each time, then they immediately placed me right back on hold (no warning, no nothing). WOWWWWWW... SO THIS IS WHAT YOU ALL DO, YOU SCHEDULE RESERVATIONS WITHOUT CUSTOMER APPROVAL??? I AM SO THANKFUL I DIDN'T PROVIDE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ... Hi everyone, I came here because my car was in the shop and you know I got to make my errands and still go work and nobody gonna let me drive a car in my family so I thought uhm? Enterprise they've been around for so long and I called. and they were so helpful over the phone then I made reservations. The prices are great For these times that we're going through and when I got there, it wasn't no problem for me to get a car as long as I have all my documents in my driver license, etc. The car was wonderful. I drove almost a week and I will be messing with enterprise again as needed. A coworker name Mr. Nate Who helped me out from day one with the car insurance to make sure that I'm safe on the road and until I returned the car safely. I will be coming back. Michaela and Brianna were helpful and professional--and for them alone I would have given 5 stars. Too bad that Nate is the Branch Manager. He was sullen and unhelpful. My car had been towed, and I was stranded for nearly 24 hours. Instead of reaching out to the tow truck company for updates, he claimed not to know the name of the tow truck company (!!). The tow truck was actually arranged by the rental car company and I had given the name to his staff the day before. He then said he didn't know how to reach the Tow company to confirm the car's whereabouts. I explained that he could just google the phone number, which I did for him.. I was in town because my stepdad died and I was helping my elderly mom. Nate literally did not care that I was left stranded for nearly 24 hours and did not listen (he kept referring to the lost car keys when they were not lost; the key fob battery was dead). This is a company whose core values are supposed to be about customer service and listening to customers. This place is a scam! I rented a car through my insurance and even with my insurance covering it, they still charged me. After paying the fees, and confirming with staff on pricing, they have been harassing me for months about an unpaid fee that I have proof that was paid. When it comes to rental cars, I consider myself a loyal Enterprise customer; and my recent experience secured my continued loyalty. When calling ahead to ensure that my desired vehicle type would be available for pick up before a long out of state road trip, I was given courteous assurance that put my mind at ease. When picking up my vehicle, I was given prompt and smooth service which helped get my holiday travel off to a good start. Despite some significant set backs during my trip (a nail in my tire, followed by another, ultimately requiring an inconvenient vehicle swap) Enterprise efficiently facilitated assistance with each step. When returning the vehicle, despite a visibly overwhelming & busy office with very limited staff working hard to service waiting customers well after closing hours, assistant branch manager Michael E. conducted himself calmly and professionally as he assisted each customer, even pausing to greet my two active & impatient little ones with me, in the face of all the customer service chaos. Michael went above & beyond by taking the time to sincerely apologize for my experience & making sure I was compensated for the inconvenience. I spent over 2 decades working in customer service, (which I often say is lost art that no longer exists in todays' consumer exchanges) with that said, I KNOW quality when I experience it. I frequently rent a car from this location due to a corporate account. The time to wait for checking in with a reservation needs improvement. I checked in at 9:00 am and left at 9:55 they had a long line and I still had to wait for a car to be washed. What's the point of making a reservation? The customer service rep tried her hardest to check in with me, letting me know the car was being washed but still this wait time was totally ridiculous. When I brought car back, they ask you how the service went and if they could give me 20% at next car rental. Congratulations Enterprise, you can check my rental history and see for my business and personal, I have used you for years. No Longer. I warned your staff members and after the email I received you lost my trust and business. I rented a 15 Passenger Van on a Saturday for a weekend /Monday Tuesday beat traffic Tahoe Snow Trip. Had to pay for an extra day because Sundays they were closed. When I picked up the 2019 Chevy Express Van I told staff full coverage as usual, I do not like to have to remember to put fuel nor do I want to deal with Road damage, Rocks hitting windshields, etc. DW is the insurance (Damage Waiver). As usual the Fairfield staff rush through the inspection when I tell them add the coverage and I do not pay as close attention as I should. When I returned home I noticed a few issues- One: Passenger Middle was making noise. When I parked home It would not close, latch was broken or loose on inside. It only opens about three or four inches anyways so I put some clear tape to keep it from whistling and keep it flush, took a Pic , and left it as it- I am not that picky since I had the damage waiver. 4:00am next day: I loaded up the kids and adults found the 15 Passenger Van had a missing seatbelt on the center edge of the seat Passenger side sliding door. Only 14 could legally fit- Not the advertised 15 which I actually needed. Brother- In Law drove his vehicle instead because I am adamant about seatbelts. It drove fine- nothing wrong with anything. My nightmare happened when I dropped it off and now- Two Months later. I dropped if off, told the a desk member about the 14 seats instead of 15, and the window latch. He didnt seem to care which was off ( normally they are customer service friendly) I wasnt asking for any discount anyways so I just let him know for the next time and left. and The DW I thought covered it if they did blame me for the undisclosed window. I get home and after about an hour I get a call. The Manager in a very Condescending voice- I run a business- you do not speak to customers this way- he states the following: There is a bullet hole in the window, it looks like it is from the inside, did you shoot like a pellet gun or something? And the Door does not close it seems damaged like it was hit with something, and the window latch is broken. I was in shock- first of all I had (2) infants, 6 kids from 9-12 years old and 6 adults. This was a build a snowman trip at a cabin, not some Teenage or College party. Why on earth would he say such a thing. I told him this is ridiculous, explained the damage I told the counter. He immediately said well sir I see you purchased the Damage Protection so there is no issues anyways but I told him that regardless of my insurance what he is describing is fraud and it is not fair for even an insurance company to pay for non existent damage. He repeated he would review the initial walkthrough but I shouldn't need to be involved due to the DW. I hung up completely disgusted. I rented a car for Fed 14 with them again since I always use them, no issues so I almost got over the Tahoe rental nightmare until today. Two months later- I just received a $2,000 Bill for Damage Recovery. The nerve and audacity that they would send a 2K bill and for what? A plastic already broken window latch, and what I believe os the star looking window chip that was disclosed on their paperwork? I will obviously let my company attorney and or my State Farm Insurance take care of it or if have to Pay It due to some fine print on the Damage Waiver Coverage well thats fine, but that $2,000 if only Money. But I hope anyone that is thinking of Enterprise's (I am sure Corp is not to blame) do not use or atleast Trust anyone at the Fairfield Ca branch. And for Managers wanting to make amenda after this review- I am no longer interested- you had your chance months ago. First went to Hertz down the street. Made the Hertz reservation 3 hours in advance for same day pick up. Went to Hertz and the man was puzzled, told him I had a reservation and he said he doesn't know. He checked the computer and said he doesn't have a car for me, gave me a card to check back later. I wish they would have contacted me instead of having me go down there just to leave. Waste of time. Afterwards at Enterprise-- Made same day reservation for a vehicle, less than an hour in advance. Was able to pick it up, no problem. Great deals for renting weekly. Was helped within 1 minute of walking in. Procedure was fast, I highly recommend them. read more

After a Collison in early September I booked a reservation with Enterprise via my insurance. My reservation was booked 24 hours in advance, AND I received and email and text confirmation of my reserve. The next morning I call to confirm....guess what? The girls explains they are out of vehicles!!! How is that possible? She was rude, curt, and indifferent. Didn't even offer to see if another location had rentals available (There are 2 in my City.) Also refused to connect me with management saying she was "the manager." So I had to file a formal complaint with cooperate to get them to honor my reservation. IT GETS WORST...(fast forward a month to today). As my insurance claim has come to a close, I have reached out to enterprise 3X and spoke with three different people regarding my rates, and an extension. None of them were able to help me, so I have requested a call back from a Manager AND even elected getting a different vehicle. Pending my claim commencement and vehicle repair. NO ONE has even called me back to discuss anything!!! I haven't had an opportunity to return to the site because I'm a traveling Nurse and I'm out of town on a job!!!! On October 15, 2021 I get a threatening text message AND voicemail from one of their team members! Threatening to report me to the authorities!!!! Are you f***ing kidding me?! Is this what we're doing???! I haven't had a parking ticket in my life! And does she (the employees name was Alejandra) realize how tense Police relations are with people of color like myself????! This behavior and conduct is OUTRAGIOUS! Completely unacceptable! If they wish to bring the authorities into this, then lets do it! They will be hearing from my lawyers!!! Geico set me up with Enterprise for a rental and arranged for them to pick me up at the repair shop. In less than 1 hour I was driving away in a rental after leaving my car at repair shop. Avoid this place. You can make all the reservations you want. It won't guarantee there will be a vehicle there for you to pick up. Made a reservation Sunday, only to be called Monday morning and told there were no cars available until Wednesday but maybe to call the Vacaville Branch to see if they could accommodate. I was told by the Vacaville branch that nothing would be available until Thursday. Come Wednesday morning, Enterprise Fairfield stated there were no cars available until Friday. After some back and forth I was then told there would be cars available Wednesday but late afternoon. After some more back and forth it was agreed I would pick up a vehicle Thursday morning at the Vacaville site. Arrived to the Vacaville site Thursday morning only to be told no cars available! I called in before even making a reservation to ask if my company can pay for the rental. The enterprise employee asked if my name was on the company credit card. I said no, it is not. She said that's okay I can still rent the vehicle. Your reservation is at 3pm. Everything is good. I showed up to enterprise to find out...surprise!
