I kept saying no I paid for a full size. Suddenly a full size pick up shows up, with dirty socks in the trunk, and on the way home the low tire pressure comes on. So I go back and ask for a new truck and they give me my third truck. I go to check it out and the back left taillight is shattered. I go in again to have them get me another truck. The lady said that's all they have. I'm like okay can you call me another store then? She said no I already did. No she didn't I was outside for less an a minute. Also how would she know to call another store for me before I even saw the truck. I ask again can you please call another store? So she did and put it on speaker. After three rings she ends the call and says "no answer." This truck rental is for my wedding in another state that I leave for the same day as the rental pick up. So after them not having any other trucks. And after the third truck and the guy saying "it's fine the tail light still works." I said "No, I'm not driving a truck states over with a busted taillight and not get a ticket on the way." With no other options I take the second truck again and ask the male to come check to make sure the tire is okay. He did not and told ME to go take it to Firestone. And if there's first storms all over and they can just bill budget. That shouldn't be my responsibility to get their vehicle checked and fixed on my time. Firestone being busy said it might be a slow leak, which it was. Also never got a receipt because they already processed the third truck. She just wrote the truck number for the second truck on the third truck paperwork and kept it. So each day for my 9 day rental every morning I had to fill my tire up because it deflated over night. On the way home the back tail light went out and low on wiper fluid popped up. Never again will I ever go to O'Fallon budget and use Budget rentals.

We called to try and get some assistance and the only option they offered was to turn around and return the van.... did not offer another vehicle or any other option. So we continue with our trip when the van begins to shake and make loud noises when we drive over 55-60 MPH. Again they offer no solution other than returning which would cause us to miss what we were traveling for that night. Then on the drive home we get a flat tire, we call the road side assistance number SAR provided us and they do not have the van listed in their system so we are stranded and have to use our own. We attempt to replace the flat tire and the key needed to release the spare is not on the van. SAR offers no solution and we are stranded and end up leaving the van and renting cars to get home. Now they have not given us a security deposit back or any other compensation for providing us a horrible van that should never have been rented out.

After returning the car, I found the actual charge on my credit card was $1,183.63, that is, over THREE TIMES of the booked price!!! Why? Because these demons added a fee called "Excess Distance Charge" based on my entire mileage (1,726 mi) to be $655.88! This is freaking and insane. See the second image, issues are: 1) The demons charged me on 10 days (3 Day + 1 Week) as well as on mileage (1,726 mi). How can they overcharge twice on two items, both days and miles?! 2) "Excess" means something beyond limits. For instance, if I drive over 100 mi/day or outside MO/KS/IL, the extra miles may be defined as "Excess". However, the demons calculated "Excess" miles from 0 (pickup) to 1,726 (dropoff). This is to say when I picked up the car, the mileage was already "Excess". 3) When I picked up the car at St. Louis Airport, the staff did not mention anything about this damned "Excess Distance Charge" or the car does not have unlimited miles. I was not informed of such a ridiculous charge by anybody during the rental process. I have experience renting cars in the USA and in foreign countries. All rentals are based on days and most have unlimited miles. It is my first time to see such a hidden and unreasonable charge, which reflects the ugly greed to rip money from my pocket by any means. From now on, National Car Rental is blacklisted and banned from my life. Such a diabolic company without honoring contractual obligations should perish from the Earth ASAP.

Just something about being able to make a plan, arrive to the destination with out people looking at you strange because you got out of a cab and knowing that you can enjoy yourself. I got a text message knowing they were there, right on time i'd like to add which was great because i was about beer'd out by that point. They don't use scooters, so i didn't have to move my golf clubs out of the trunk, and the whole experience was cheaper than it would have been for my cab fair to go pick up my car again.
