On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at approximately 4:00 PM on Broadway in Elmhurst, traffic was stopped at a red light. I was attempting to parallel park along the curb--with a vehicle behind me even offering guidance on how to maneuver--when your company driver, who was stopped directly behind me, began honking his horn repeatedly while the light was still red. When the light turned green, I pulled away and abandoned my attempt to park--turning into St. James Street--specifically to allow your company driver to pass. However, as he continued to follow me, he still did not stop honking his horn aggressively from behind. Consequently, I pulled over to the side to let your company vehicle pass, and I took a photograph of the vehicle--as shown in the attached image--to inform your company that you should provide training and a stern warning to your employee regarding the importance of courtesy and proper driving etiquette. They said everything was in order but since the California license didn't scan, they couldn't give me a car. I was absolutely appalled to receive a call today from a Vidal stating he would call the cops and report our rental stolen if we didn't pay the $290.92 "balance." First off, this rental is through our insurance and you are holding a deposit for more than that ... so to get on a phone with a customer and THREATEN THEM to call the cops is uncalled for and totally unprofessional. Atrocious service. We booked a car a week in advance, and confirmed the reservation the day before. We showed up later in the day than the booking, but there was nothing in the confirmation indicating that would be problematic. When we showed up, they just said, "We didn't hold your car and there's nothing left." We asked why they hadn't called to check our status, and they lied about calling in the morning (a check of call records for the number they had on file showed no call since the one the day before, which we returned, confirming the reservation). Im not one to leave negative reviews and hurt businesses, but please beware of this location and avoid it if you can. They are unprofessional in the sense they dont follow up with customers when they say they will in a timely manner. Its extremely difficult to get through during the day unless you call right when they open. I had to call multiple times to speak to 3 different representatives including the manager. They dont communicate well or at all unless you're on top of them. I went in to switch out a rental for a smaller vehicle and they couldnt do that as they dont have much of a selection. When asked for satisfaction regarding their customer service, i shared this exact feedback and the manager got defensive and couldnt take constructive criticism nor any accountability for him and his team falling short with communication. read more

Second time renting from enterprise. However this time will be my last time. When it came time to close the contract there was an agreement on how much everything was however 2-3 weeks later my card continued to be charged with miscellaneous charges. When trying to resolve the issue and find out what the exact charges were for, the branch and the customer service line would continue to redirect me back and forth and not provide any answers. After a strenuous process I was finally able to speak to the area manager in which she did not have the answers to the charges as well. I have been going here since I moved to Jackson heights 4 years ago. Ronald and his team provide great customer service. They really know how to treat customers and the consistency of great service needs to be acknowledged. Ronald goes out of his way to greet you and appreciates loyal customers. I hope that he along with his team are recognized and Enterprise rewards their employees in their pay. This past car rental I got into a collision accident and wished I purchased the extra insurances for peace of mind. At the end it doesn't matter who is at fault cause the car needs to serviced. Luckily it wasn't major but still. Folks if you have secondary insurance with a credit card, they will pursue your main insurance if you have one. The credit card companies kicks in when you don't have car insurance or the car insurance denies the claim. Happy driving and be safe on the road! read more

I needed to rent a vehicle while my Highlander was undergoing Drivetrain repairs at Queensboro Toyota. I originally thought I'd need a vehicle for a couple of days but after authorizing a major repair I needed my rental for an extended period. Ronald Delio Rodriguez was the person I dealt with and he went above and beyond. He switched me from the day rate to the weekly rate in order to minimize charges and he was accessible on a daily basis. In addition, picking up and dropping off the vehicle was extremely easy. No complaints at all. Well, Subaru's "Eyesight" in my rental repeatedly failed while I was driving the rental but that's not Enterprise's fault. But even then, I have to thank Enterprise. Given the unreliability of the Subaru's critical safety "Eyesight " system malfunctioning, I'd never buy a Subaru! read more

I have a corporate account and have rented from multiple locations for business and personal use and this is the first time I have ever had an issue with customer service. After booking a rental at another company for a weekend trip to PA I started looking at the yelp reviews and was so scared of what people had to say, that I immediately cancelled it. The check in process was not more than 10 minutes and he even took me to the parking lot to see which car I would feel most confortable in, this means a lot to a female driver making a long trip with her family, that they gave me the option to see what I would feel safe driving on the road. First off, they had no vehicles available under my auto insurance policy rental coverage span(and I've got full coverage), so they thought the were talking me into believing me that they were doing me a "favor" by charging me a small car rental fee for a "full"size vehicle, in which I still had to come up with the difference for out of pocket, because they lack a selection of vehicles covered by full coverage(wtf..). My insurance company had called and reserved a car for me with them, so idk how they didn't have a car underneath thirty dollars a day... i guess thats what happens when you leave a whole bunch of bookkeeping to a couple know it all women inside.. theyve just got whack cars. First time in a while to use Enterprise or even rent a car. I chose this location because I live in Elmhurst and is pretty accessible via public transportation. I had no issues whatsoever with the entire process except for the fact that there was only 1 car to choose from the tier of cars at the time. I upgraded because I wanted to drive another car that was available. The pick up and return was very fast (most likely because I had no issues). I have to add to this to my previous review because since the car was rented, I received a notice that $18.00 worth of tolls were not paid (we had an EZ-Pass) and that Enterprise was taking $31.00 from my credit card to pay the tolls and fees. I have since appealed, but no response. A rep at the toll website said that sometimes an EZ-pass needs to be registered with the rental car or it might not work properly. If this is the case, Enterprise should have made us aware of this possibility. Instead, I am out $31 dollars for not paying $18 worth of tolls I thought EZ-Pass had paid. It's not right. Previous Review: Excellent service from both women at this location. They were very patient and responded to every question we had (and we had many). Moreover, they were professional, friendly, and fast. We rented the economy car for four days (a Chrysler 20 LX), and it was quite comfortable for three adults, two of whom were overweight. My only criticism is that the electronic key device did not always seem to work properly. Sometimes the alarm went off when we unlocked the doors, and it wouldn't stop until we put the key in the ignition. Also, the trunk would open when we pressed lock, and once in a while, we could not get it to open or lock the doors, so we did these things manually. No biggie, though. Everything else was great, and the ride was very smooth. I would definitely recommend this company and this site. read more

Best car rental company. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. They didn't try to add on any extras (they didn't even push the full coverage insurance, which was almost half as much as budget charged when we rented a car from them in Los Angeles last month!). I had reserved a compact car for memorial day weekend, as we had a wedding to go to and then were gonna pick up our dog and take her with us up to Connecticut. When we got to office, they didn't have any compacts left, so he offered us a brand new chevy tahoe for the same exact price (these cars are usually double what we paid). I was a little apprehensive about driving it, but it was actually great and it worked out even better to take the dog in. It didn't even guzzle gas like we were expecting! First I get a dash signal alerting me to low tire pressure and then the cigarette lighter didn't work so my GPS died and I got lost somewhere in Connecticut. I had to go out of my way to call the NYC office and find out where I was and find the closest Enterprise office was. Luckily it was very close so it took only an hour from my day to fix everything. I also experienced cigarette smoke in my rental. However, they tried to clean it will Ajax glass cleaner which is not only toxic, but combined with the smoke smell was disgusting. It lingered for the complete weekend. While they also apologized and gave me a free day, they should not remedy the problem with this chemical solution. It made me so sleepy I almost fell asleep at the wheel. When I complained saying I would call the corporate office to complain about it that's when they apologized and wanted to make it up. Also, they drivers often don't know where local addresses are, and don't call when they are lost. They policy of pick up is moot as they are incapable of doing this timely. I received a phone call from the manager of this location about 20 minutes after I wrote Enterprise a message on their website about the cigarette smell. The manager, Carl, was very apologetic and asked what he can do to make it up to me. I blurted out 50% off my next rental and he said it was done and I can ask for him when I come to pick up my next rental in a few weeks. I was impressed by this and more companies should take care of their customers like this.
