My son…read moreprefers Sensei Rey (not that there's anything wrong with the other Senseis, you know how kids are when they are attached to a specific person) so he was bummed when his schedule changed and instead of having class twice a week he only has it once a week now. My son has competed in one tournament and is prepping to compete in another. Now, only if he can get a belt test done that would be awesome. Other than that Sensei Rey really takes the time to make sure his students (of all ages too) get their techniques correct & it shows in the tournaments. My son brought home a gold medal for Kata & a silver medal for Kumite. Oh! One more thing, the space can get tight when everyone is in class. Maybe expanding or separating the sitting area? There's a room with a glass windowed room right behind where the parents sit, maybe... it could just be a sitting room for the parents during this time frame? I'm really not sure what is in that room though. Also, that way the kids that run around during class can be contained in a separate room so as not to bother the karate class in session but can still see the karate class through the window? Just a suggestion. Gina the owner is very accommodating & was kind enough to understand our situation in December so we were able to alter our contract a bit before signing. We are excited to continue another year with Landero Learning Center.

I was looking for a studio for my daughter to dance but with the whole COVID and shutdown, it was a…read morebit difficult. We weren't comfortable going in the studio just yet, but we still wanted her to get that training in. Luckily I found CSLV and was instantly drawn to them because: 1. They offered zoom classes, no pressure to go in studio 2. Their fees were so affordable - SO AFFORDABLE The hiphop class that she took via zoom was perfect. She enjoyed it so much! I loved how the instructor always checked in with those on zoom vs just focusing on those in class. Once we were ready to go back in studio, we were welcomed with open arms. I can see that baby girl has improved tremendously in her dancing skills. She is more aware of her counts which is a huge. She's been dancing Ori Tahiti since she was 3 and she usually rushes thru the choreo. But now she takes her time and is a lot more aware of her counts and moves. Huge thank you to her instructors at CSLV for helping her with that and just helping her be a better well rounded dancer. In the short amount of time we've been with them, baby girl has already done a video shoot, they're working on their next video shoot now, and hopefully will be performing live the end of the year (assuming things start opening up). That is a lot more than what she did at her previous dance studio and she was dancing there for almost the same amount of time. So if you are looking for a studio to get your kids to dance with, I highly recommend Culture Shock. The instructors are great and always willing to accommodate, if they can make it work. They're a non profit organization, so they're not out here trying to get all your money. They are definitely working for the kids and I love that. I mean, I live all the way in the northwest part of town and we drive down to them weekly. Love that we're part of the CS family!

I've come now to a couple classes and definitely want to make it a weekly thing. The drop in price is only $19, which isn't too bad in my opinion! I've been wanting to find an adult dance class because I truly miss dancing so much and haven't really taken classes since I was in high school. It's such a fun workout and I love it. Kara is an incredible teacher! Whether you've never taken a dance class before or if you're actually a dancer or grew up dancing, it's a great class to take! I am really enjoying them and can't wait for more!!! She also always records it at the end so you can show it off (or laugh, whatever your journey is). Such a fun class and the ladies that take it are also all so sweet and welcomed me with open arms at my first class! Can't wait for this week's!

After being with the Dance Zone for 10 years it was a HUGE let down at the end for my daughter…read more NOTHING was offered for her as far as continuing to love and have her passion for dance WITHOUT joining teams. When I expressed that to Jaime, I just got a stupid smile that said, "just keep dancing." The last recital for my daughter was a JOKE! Programs were not available for EVERY ticket sold. I understand the need to go digital however grandparents in attendance want a physical program. During each break we watched a video 4 times on another money grab on getting kids to join teams. When my daughter was 6 she signed up for ballet and was HUMILIATED by Mr. Caine as she showed up in a yellow ballet leo. Rather than speaking to the parent he embarrassed my daughter in front of all her peers. She then decided that Miss Haleigh was the teacher she wanted to stick with because she truly made her feel special and that she was part of a class. When reaching out for additional continuing dance classes I was told, "we don't offer that here unless you join teams." Luckily, we had the grace and caring from Miss Haleigh to understand my daughter's needs and will forever be GRATEFUL that our time on the way out made it not so horrible.

I came to the dance center last night not for dancing lessons but for a play about domestic…read moreviolence. This spot was converted from a dance studio to a performance spot by placing chairs in a semicircle facing some chairs for the actors and a keyboard. The show was called Domestic Violence the Musical? and it's been performed at military bases and posts addressing this problem which is more common than we'd care to admit. The music was re-written for the Las Vegas premiere of the show. The small cast with both a male and female abuser performed the play spectacularly. After, there was a 15 minute Q&A and the audience had a chance to ask questions about domestic violence, where the idea came from. While not reviewing the Dance Center itself, I can say it was a very clean and modern space with hardwood floors. I am sure they are good with people other than me. I would be too much of a challenge! Dance Center--thanks for hosting this important show!!

They treat children like cattle, stuffing as many as possible into each class. One of the coaches on staff is affectionately referred to as Coach Evil. When I inquired about the bullying issues from the "team girls" I was immediately blown off. After leaving AGC I found 3 other gyms with higher ratings on yelp. Beautiful state of the art facilities, and smaller class sizes. All of them are considerably less expensive and organized. AGC recently moved across the parking lot into a larger space, they added ZERO new equipment. No additional seating for parents, it is always hot in the gym and waiting area. Just more floor space for kids to stand in line.

We absolutely love coming to No Limit. Period. My daughter started going here when she was little…read moreunder three years old and then took a break. We came back when she gained interest again in gymnastics at about the age of eight. When we reenrolled after all that time, the front desk lady remembered us from before. My daughter seems very comfortable coming here and we enjoy the different performances and competitions that they provide at the basic level. I wanted to pay for only the days that I will be attending because I can not commit myself to every Thursday due to my work.
