Yes, they teach all of the physical elements of Taekwondo but equally if not more important is the coaching of children (and adults) on how to build critical success skills such as focus, memory, discipline, respect, goal setting, self confidence, resilience, and leadership. Everyone knows that kids need exercise, but Envision offers so much more than physical exertion. Envision is another tool in in your kit to help you raise your kids into upstanding citizens. They aim to help shape your kids into honorable & respectful, hard working individuals. We signed our kid up here because we needed help with some behavior issues & we were at our wits end. While our child is not perfect, we have seen huge improvement in their attitude and behavior since starting at Envision. The staff is like our parental support & they are there to help you with behavior issues. We all wish our kids would just listen to us but the reality is that it usually has a bigger impact coming from someone else. The instructors are great with the kids and the kids all enjoy the classes. The facility is clean and doesn't smell of stinky feet like so many other martial arts schools do. Be warned! Classes rarely started on time for Karate Kids. Very little discipline when it came to warm-ups. Kids were allowed to speed through the push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks and squats in very poor form. Classes are over crowded and parent volunteers are needed to give kids opportunity to perform blocks and kicks. So, you have people who know little about technique instructing students with the actual instructor possibly walking by to give pointers. Majority of class time is spent lining students up, spreading them out and the warm-up with about 15-20 minutes of instruction. Because of all this and my son not liking it, I attempted to cancel his membership after 23 days (5 sessions) using the 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee printed on the back of the contract. But since the guarantee wasn't "offered" to me at sign-up, I had to pay a $200 cancellation fee to get out of this bad experience. What a scam! read more
