As someone who asked for leniency in a time of struggle, I'd like share my upsetting experience. While attending this gym, I was struggling through abuse from men. I was also struggling to make ends meet, and I just wanted a place to put my head down and work. I was not left alone. Multiple fighters at this gym mocked and made fun of me in front of other members at this gym. I heavily avoided interaction. While sitting in my car on the side of the freeway, I texted and asked; "Could I possibly pause billing and attending for a two week period and then resume?" The response from the gym owner was; "Our system doesn't hold for less than a month." Luckily, God provided and my ex boyfriend offered to pay $200 for me to keep training. (That's the monthly rate.) I will provide a screenshot of this conversation. I asked in person to a kind instructor, and he told me that sounded very reasonable. There are a couple people at this gym that are genuine. After leaving a comment on a recent instagram post relating to this GuardianGym, I was contacted by the owner. (This post was requesting donations for those struggling financially.) She attempted to apologize, and in the same breath she asked for the deletion of my comment. Also while apologizing, she was attempting to blame and deflect the responsibility that she denied my request for a freeze. She then deleted my comment herself. This inspired me to share my experience. I want to add that in the screenshot she asked for me to add my card on file. I added my card. As seen, she later reached out to me to say "my card" was declining. She was instead attempting to charge my ex boyfriend's card, as mine ended in 3899. When opportunity to be rude presented itself, it was taken. I also experienced rude interactions with her daughter who is the 'pretty blonde girl' who works the front desk referenced in an honest review below.

I've witnessed more positive transformations under Jameson compared to other fitness programs. And admittedly, I'm sort of a gym rat. People of all fitness levels and ages who join and stick with Jameson improve, including weight loss, increased muscle definition, and even a Golden Gloves championship title. Personally, my endurance significantly increased, and I've learned technique, accuracy, and finesse are more potent than brut force. McBoxing programs and even other authentic boxing gyms with solid coaches don't compare to the attention to detail and supportive community you'll find here. It's a challenging workout that Jameson tailors to your fitness level, no matter where you are in your journey. He'll push you beyond what you think you can do, and you'll surprise yourself at what you are really capable of achieving. Trust me, you'll see results and have fun on the journey.

Plus I got an amazing workout and felt so accomplished with just this one class. I wish I lived local so I could add these classes to my workout regimen, and thanks to Jameson will be looking for somewhere to take classes at home. Of all of the schools I've trained at in New York, San Francisco and even Thailand, I never got the same level of attention that I did at Core. In fact, I probably have them to thank every time I get complimented on my technique because if it wasn't for Eric and Erinn's eye for detail, I would not be where I am today. Too many gyms let students slide in technique in favor of pushing people through ranks or letting people just wail on bags. But that is not the Core way, not at all. Eric has a very unique gift for giving you an amazing workout while also really teaching you what to do. You won't just learn how to punch - you'll learn why you punch this way as opposed to that way, why you kick like this instead of like that. Really, the lessons I learned at Core have been invaluable. Also, Eric and Erinn are awesome people. They really care about their students and have a good time with the classes. If you're looking to learn martial arts and get in fantastic shape in a friendly, noncompetitive environment, Core should be your first stop.

He really approaches his training from a holistic point of view, working on not just the body but the mind and spirit as well. Christophe has helped me get in shape and learn some cool skills from a world-champion master, and has also helped me to learn to identify and conquer what gets in my way spiritually and emotionally. They work with kids and adults with a number of different programs, from general fitness to martial arts, to dance. Check them out...you won't be disappointed!

I have been a regular ever since! Every instructor is knowledgeable not only in the exercise but in the specific muscles being used. They all are supportive, encouraging, will give many different options for the same exercise. They all are fun, kind and each show a real interest in you as a client. Many friendships are made there too. The owner, Helen, also creates fun incentives to get you to push yourself a little more than you might! Today on Halloween, one of the costume days this week, many of us dressed up in simple Halloween costumes and still worked out! I look forward to each time I go to Ballet Physique! The instructors all have a background in dance and help every single person with form and function. I e never had something change my body so quickly. I have also tried other facilities that focus on barre, they do a great job as well. I deeply prefer The Ballet Physique. People of all sizes and ages go. There is a rich sense of community. The level of support and camaraderie alone would get me to go. The much loved bonus is the positive changes to our bodies. Even when I ache, I go to barre and then I feel so much better. I have been to Title and Easton for boxing, but I appreciate the super small class sizes (max of 8 for boxing), direct attention and instruction, and community feel of Gemini. The coaches, Dave, TJ, and Dion, all have tons of experience and are incredibly helpful. The other people at this gym are also warm and welcoming. I haven't done Jiu-Jitsu there yet, but I go to the boxing and kickboxing classes regularly, and bootcamp every once in a blue moon. I definitely recommend this place--the small groups lead to a lot of personalized support and it's an excellent value. I am feeling stronger, more empowered, and more knowledgeable about boxing as well as the mechanics of my own body. Highly recommend this great little spot in Englewood off of Broadway!
