It's a rarity that I actually get in the teller line nowadays since the NFCU app is pretty robust to do check deposits with a snap of a photo as well as easy $ transfer from/to any NFCU accounts. I have been very happy with my past engagements with NFCU's loan (mortgage, auto) departments and like the immediate responsiveness of their credit card fraud department when they flag potential fraudulent transactions. I do miss that NFCU no longer has coin counting machines (allowed customers to have their coins counted and deposited directly into NFCU accounts) in any of their branch locations.

Due to loan officer not communicating consistently the deal was extended 3 times due to issues with the qualification where the loan officer indicated the candidate was qualified and everything was fine. Then the day before closing at 5pm he communicates the candidate doesnt qualify. He didnt disclose there was an issue prior at all. Not even say there was an issue but led to believe everything was fine. It felt like us as a group was lied to as there is no disclosure policy saying that the loan had issues and this may not work out. That is not privacy issue at all. He didnt even indicate that. Sellers and Buyers beware as this was a very bad experience and noone should come to the end of the line to be able to close and then day before closing not even 24hr notice to say things are not going to work out or even disclose we have issues much before this time. This simple VA took 60 days and the loan officer had more than enought time or their underwritign to have an answer before this disaster of an outcome to waste a sellers time and money of making repairs of $3000 for VA Loan to come to a conclusion of not qualifying. Watch out as this team and loan individuals will be a red flag for my next seller or if a buyer suggest using this group at all. Im an MLO and Realtor and Appraise, so I have experience on all fronts of the transaction and this was a disaster of non transparency and leading with false information.

I'm surprised by some of the negative statements as all my family and many friends use NFCU and wouldn't dare go elsewhere. Always great. I've been hacked twice and NFCU was quick to stop the stupidity, take control and issue me new cards, get my funds restored VERY fast, and get us back to normal. The phone system is not user frendly and waists way too much time!!!! The Bank services are great but their phone system is terrible!!! might as well not even have a phone service just either they are there or they are not. the drive is almost lesst time spent
