I started this program because I was already working at a Dental Office doing front office/…read moreinsurance work but needed the knowledge and background. It was a great experience! It worked with my schedule and gave me the tools I needed to excel at what I do. It is an excellent program!! It is a 10 week program that's financially affordable and you're able to complete even if you have a full time job, I know I did! You will meet with your instructor twice a week, one day you will do your classroom portion and the next day you'll be doing your practical/ lab portion with your classmates. Your instructor will help and guide you along the way, you will be able to find an externship which will help with your experience and in finding a job!

I went and did a little research on Assist to Succeed and also looked up the Facebook page of this particular location and so on. I even decided to e-mail one of the students that was tagged in a picture to ask her how she liked the program. She said she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I think there are only 2 Assist to Succed programs as far as i know and one of them is in Oroville. So i am happy that there is one in Elk Grove, since that isn't too far from where i live. I decided to show up in person and ask questions and get more information. I didn't have a car at the time and the money, eventhough this is far cheaper than going to one of those other colleges. I wasn't going to sign up right away, but wait for the next class instead. Becky was really nice and explained how the program works and i left feeling good about possibly starting something new. However, i never did sign up for the program at that time. Here we are a year later. I went back 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine, because the both of us were considering becoming Dental Assistants, so she came along with me and we met up with Becky, the instructor. Again she answered all of our questions, showed us around and told us what all the program entails and what we have to look forward to. We even got a folder outlining what we will be learning, dress code, registration form etc. She's super sweet :) she gave us a card and told us we could feel free to contact her and ask her more questions if we had any. I am actually excited about this and know i could start a new career and just learning something different in general, which always exiting and a bit nervous. This time i will actually attend the school and my friend will too. We are actually going back this week with our filled out forms and down payment to secure our spot. When i am done with the program i may write another review on how it was. Pretty sure it'll be awesome!! :D

Choosing to attend UEI College for the Medical Assistant program was truly one of the best…read moredecisions I have ever made. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had every opportunity to succeed. What stood out to me most about UEI wasn't just the education, it was the people. Every single person I interacted with genuinely cared about the students and our futures. I want to start by recognizing Mrs. Anita Pai. She worked tirelessly helping me obtain my transcripts from my online high school. It wasn't a simple process and required her to jump through multiple hoops and go back and forth numerous times. Because of her persistence and dedication, I was able to begin the process of enrolling. Without her help and determination, I honestly may not have been able to start school when I did. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ricardo, who handled my student intake. His energy and enthusiasm were incredible from the moment I met him. He worked extremely hard to get everything processed and even managed to get me started that very same week. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, and his excitement made me feel confident and motivated about starting the program. My instructor, Miss B, deserves more recognition than I could ever put into words. She wasn't just a teacher to me, she truly became a mentor and friend. She didn't just teach what was in the textbook, she taught real-life skills and how to truly succeed in the medical field. She was patient, supportive, and always available whenever I needed help or didn't understand something. She believed in her students and pushed us to be our best. Without a doubt, she is the best teacher I have ever had the privilege of learning from. I would also like to recognize Nate, who always seemed to be juggling a million things but still made time to help students whenever they needed it. His willingness to step in and assist never went unnoticed. Most importantly, I want to give a huge recognition to Carlos. Carlos is the person you can go to for absolutely anything, and he will always find a way to help. He is incredibly knowledgeable, highly educated in the medical field, and extremely compassionate. What makes him stand out the most is how much he genuinely cares about the students in the Medical Assistant program and their future success. Carlos truly listens to students and values their thoughts, concerns, and goals. He is also the person who encouraged me to take the CCBMA certification exam, something I never believed I could pass. I honestly had no intention of even attempting it because I didn't think it was possible for me. Carlos believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Because of his encouragement and support, I took the exam and I am now CCBMA certified. The fact that he is even helping me revise my resume on a Sunday shows the level of dedication he has to his students. Every single employee at UEI College has been incredible. The environment is welcoming, supportive, and full of people who genuinely want to see students succeed. They treat you like more than just a number, they treat you like family. UEI College didn't just give me an education, it gave me confidence, support, and a future in the medical field. The experience and the people I met there truly changed my life. I can honestly say I miss being there. If you are considering the Medical Assistant program, I cannot recommend UEI College enough.

Treat it like your own experience because it is basically a way to learn and practice to apply for licensure/certification. I was in a phlebotomy technician course, and I liked it because we practiced blood draws (including capillary puncture [finger stick] and venipuncture) so many times on so many different vein arrangements and on both the antecubital area (inside of elbow) and dorsal hand (opposite side of the hand's palm side - "veiny" part). I feel like when I came in a lot of people did not have background on health care (e.g., anatomy and physiology, terminology, etc.). I was so happy that I took classes at CRC and SCC (Los Rios) before coming here. After the phlebotomy technician course, I ended up getting my license in phlebotomy and continued to do courses here (medical assisting). It's nice because with the cost of tuition for medical assisting (MA) we get textbooks/supplies (a big textbook, a workbook, a medical terminology book, 1 set of scrubs, and a stethoscope). It's nice to work with all different backgrounds and ages. I would say it is getting better, and I do like the job workshops held by the staff (Lindsay Cosgaya, Jim Wirick, and Mr. Dan Davis). A lot of people should read the license (Certified Phlebotomy Technician I) / certification (for MA it's a certification not a license) requirements and try to get some basic anatomy down! You gotta do lots of work on your own even before. Also: phlebotomy (blood draw) makes people feel weak - make sure you have lots of time to eat and drink and rest because it's a quick course but you have to practice a lot (get 50 successful draws).

The boot camp class was a 4 day class and it is all day starting at 8:00 and running to 5:30. Like to do this review in 2 parts, first the material both hard copy and online and second the tutor that conducted the class for the 4 days. Hard copy and online material - if there is more than 5 stars I will give them to PMTI. The material is well organized and packed with lot of great content and flows great. The blue book which is the core of the material is a bomb. Yad the CEO and his team has done an awesome job with it. The brown book which has about 550 questions was comprehensive and useful practice to prep you up for the main test. The questions you see in the brown book or question Bank is at same level as what you see in the real test. The online material is also awesome. Yad led recorded class that runs for about 30 hours is really good. It covers all 5 process and 10 knowledge areas. Yad's examples and material coverage is perfect and has lot of takeaways. When you watch the video for first time you will pause and take notes constantly. I strongly recommend that before you go to the boot camp class in person review the videos and be prepared. This will help you big time in the class and help you follow the material. Second 4 day in person boot camp was good could have been better. The structure was good and all materials was good. The tutor could have paced evenly through out the class. In some instances we spent more time building the story to explain the point and spent less time on the points. With time being limited I would request Yad to review the tutors examples and help him make them crisp. The tutor knew the material for sure and was well versed on the subject. If he can make his examples to the point crisp then that time can be spent on the points. The pace and amount of content Yad covers in his 4 day based online video vs the tutor in person training there is a big difference. Bottom line will recommend PMTI to my colleagues as they have proven material to help you pass the test and their material is their strength
