The online course was straight forward and thorough. The in-person portion with Derek was fun. He was clear and concise and very knowledgable. After reading the excellent Yelp reviews, I contacted Armando by phone and text, and I'm so glad I did. The entire experience was outstanding. Armando recommended completing the online portion of the course first, which was very affordable and easy to complete. I finished it in one day and enjoyed it so much that I went ahead and completed several of the additional online courses as well. The hands-on training took place at Armando's location in a comfortable one-on-one setting. He has brand-new CPR manikins and an AED simulator, which made the training feel realistic and practical. We practiced CPR and rescue breathing on an adult manikin and then moved on to infant CPR. The equipment provides excellent feedback on compression depth, rhythm, and technique, helping you understand exactly how much pressure and ventilation are needed. Armando is an excellent instructor. He patiently walked me through every step, provided helpful corrections, answered all of my questions, and gave me plenty of time to practice until I felt confident. He is kind, soft-spoken, and creates a welcoming learning environment, especially for anyone who may be nervous or shy. The turnaround time was also impressive. I completed my hands-on training on Thursday, Armando submitted all the required paperwork that same day, and by Friday I already had my certification card. It worked with my schedule and gave me the tools I needed to excel at what I do. It is an excellent program!! It is a 10 week program that's financially affordable and you're able to complete even if you have a full time job, I know I did! You will meet with your instructor twice a week, one day you will do your classroom portion and the next day you'll be doing your practical/ lab portion with your classmates. Your instructor will help and guide you along the way, you will be able to find an externship which will help with your experience and in finding a job!

I went and did a little research on Assist to Succeed and also looked up the Facebook page of this particular location and so on. I even decided to e-mail one of the students that was tagged in a picture to ask her how she liked the program. She said she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I think there are only 2 Assist to Succed programs as far as i know and one of them is in Oroville. So i am happy that there is one in Elk Grove, since that isn't too far from where i live. I decided to show up in person and ask questions and get more information. I didn't have a car at the time and the money, eventhough this is far cheaper than going to one of those other colleges. I wasn't going to sign up right away, but wait for the next class instead. Becky was really nice and explained how the program works and i left feeling good about possibly starting something new. However, i never did sign up for the program at that time. Here we are a year later. I went back 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine, because the both of us were considering becoming Dental Assistants, so she came along with me and we met up with Becky, the instructor. Again she answered all of our questions, showed us around and told us what all the program entails and what we have to look forward to. We even got a folder outlining what we will be learning, dress code, registration form etc. She's super sweet :) she gave us a card and told us we could feel free to contact her and ask her more questions if we had any. I am actually excited about this and know i could start a new career and just learning something different in general, which always exiting and a bit nervous. This time i will actually attend the school and my friend will too. We are actually going back this week with our filled out forms and down payment to secure our spot. The tutor was nice and helpful but these owners really need to get it together. A central office sells you then you are turned over to the local franchise that is nothing compared to the company you thought you were getting into business with. No follow up. Only emailed to see if we wanted more hours added. When I said no there was no further communication. No check in at all during the 12 weeks.

The only time they're open is during most people's work day so it's nice they have the option to make phone appointments, only nobody ever picks up the damn phone. I have had issues every semester without fail. Whether it's them telling me to take classes I already took, or it's classes I am not yet eligible for, or blatantly pushing me in the wrong direction and having me take classes that don't pertain to my major, it's always wrong infomation. I don't know if they're underpaid and overworked, but this is truly ridiculous. Either hire more people or stop accepting more students than a department can handle. When I asked how to avoid getting misinformation/ if there is anything I need to do to not have trouble next time, the rude ass lady on the phone told me "Maybe you should try making an appointment ahead of time next time" AS IF I DIDN'T ALREADY CALL AND EMAIL THEIR TRIFFLING ASSES FOR DAYS ON END. Some of us work full time and can't sit on the phone for four hours waiting for someone to answer the damn phone. OVERALL: joke of a school, don't waste your time of money, I no longer will be and have plans to transfer as soon as possible.

Math has always been his favorite subject, so I wanted to find something that would challenge him and nurture that passion. From the first visit, he loved it. He actually love the center more than his math class at school. The atmosphere is welcoming and positive, and the tutors are incredibly patient and kind. They know how to make learning fun while still keeping it structured and challenging. That balance is so important at this age. What I really appreciate is how they start with a placement test and create a customized learning plan. It's not random worksheets; it's intentional. They truly map out how to strengthen foundations and build confidence step by step. We signed up for two sessions a week, but they gave us extra 1 sessions (optional to join) but my son asked to go three times because he enjoys it that much. To me, that says everything. If your child loves math or even struggles with it, I highly recommend checking them out. Strong math foundations early on can make a huge difference later, and I believe this is an investment that's absolutely worth it. They help kids from K-12. So grateful we found a place that makes learning exciting instead of just screen time. The learning center provides…read morecomputers, internet, private study areas, group meeting areas, complimentary refreshments, and tutoring. It's clean, modern, well lit, and the people are friendly. Occasionally a group of loud annoying people show up to hang out and make noise, but on average it's a great place to study. I've noticed some complaints on Yelp about the quality of the education. I went to a private school for my undergrad degree and it was academically challenging. My graduate degree (MBAM) at UOP is *hard.* Fortunately, the school provides tutors in many areas, and I've had great experiences with them. You also have the option of taking a class locally if you are in the online program which I am in. This is great for students like me who prefer lectures when taking math-related courses. I wish I took Statistics locally but you know what they say about hindsight. I love the flexibility of online education but it requires a lot of self-motivation. The only reason I left a star off my review is that the Elk Grove learning center doesn't have any math tutors which are the ones I need. I drive to the Gateway Oaks learning center for my math tutoring.
