It worked with my schedule and gave me the tools I needed to excel at what I do. It is an excellent program!! It is a 10 week program that's financially affordable and you're able to complete even if you have a full time job, I know I did! You will meet with your instructor twice a week, one day you will do your classroom portion and the next day you'll be doing your practical/ lab portion with your classmates. Your instructor will help and guide you along the way, you will be able to find an externship which will help with your experience and in finding a job!

I went and did a little research on Assist to Succeed and also looked up the Facebook page of this particular location and so on. I even decided to e-mail one of the students that was tagged in a picture to ask her how she liked the program. She said she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I think there are only 2 Assist to Succed programs as far as i know and one of them is in Oroville. So i am happy that there is one in Elk Grove, since that isn't too far from where i live. I decided to show up in person and ask questions and get more information. I didn't have a car at the time and the money, eventhough this is far cheaper than going to one of those other colleges. I wasn't going to sign up right away, but wait for the next class instead. Becky was really nice and explained how the program works and i left feeling good about possibly starting something new. However, i never did sign up for the program at that time. Here we are a year later. I went back 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine, because the both of us were considering becoming Dental Assistants, so she came along with me and we met up with Becky, the instructor. Again she answered all of our questions, showed us around and told us what all the program entails and what we have to look forward to. We even got a folder outlining what we will be learning, dress code, registration form etc. She's super sweet :) she gave us a card and told us we could feel free to contact her and ask her more questions if we had any. I am actually excited about this and know i could start a new career and just learning something different in general, which always exiting and a bit nervous. This time i will actually attend the school and my friend will too. We are actually going back this week with our filled out forms and down payment to secure our spot. However I have never felt out of place, I have always been encouraged and supported. I am proud to say I am an Honors student, graduating with an AS in Equine Science. I could not have done so without the guidance from all of my amazing Educators, support staff, and friends I have made along the way. The Campus itself is laid out well appointed, especially for ADA access. It has a central for inclusion and belonging, as well as many student unions to represent and support our diverse community. The only time they're open is during most people's work day so it's nice they have the option to make phone appointments, only nobody ever picks up the damn phone. I have had issues every semester without fail. Whether it's them telling me to take classes I already took, or it's classes I am not yet eligible for, or blatantly pushing me in the wrong direction and having me take classes that don't pertain to my major, it's always wrong infomation. I don't know if they're underpaid and overworked, but this is truly ridiculous. Either hire more people or stop accepting more students than a department can handle. When I asked how to avoid getting misinformation/ if there is anything I need to do to not have trouble next time, the rude ass lady on the phone told me "Maybe you should try making an appointment ahead of time next time" AS IF I DIDN'T ALREADY CALL AND EMAIL THEIR TRIFFLING ASSES FOR DAYS ON END. Some of us work full time and can't sit on the phone for four hours waiting for someone to answer the damn phone. OVERALL: joke of a school, don't waste your time of money, I no longer will be and have plans to transfer as soon as possible.

Allie (dance owner) and all the teachers love all the students, they have had to have taught the big girls to be kind to the little girls because all of the bigger students are so amazing with the Littles. There are various classes , and the teachers and staff pour themselves into the students. I highly recommend this studio. Hours are convenient, staff is amazing, and the dance owner is always there if you ever need to speak with her. She's not an absentee owner. Every time I go to drop my daughter for her class , she's either teaching, or just pulling up. I will always tell people to go here when they ask where my daughter dances.

The Elk Grove School District does not care about our youth staying active. They are not allowing…read moreyouth football to be at the schools after 10/15 after agreeing to allow it prior to the season starting (and this is the first year in over 10 years they are trying to force us to stop). Now all youth football programs have to scramble to find a place to practice , and soccer has all the parks. This is completely unacceptable and sends the message that they really don't care about our youth or about our youth staying active. They would rather help support youth obesity, encouraging our youth to just stay home and not be active. On top of that we have over 150 families at each program that they are saying oh well we don't care about you or your kids. Just blown away by this district, completely unacceptable.
