I apologized for the inconvenience but afterwards I discovered I had been removed from the loyalty program. When I politely asked to be reinstated and have my points restored, I felt I was still being treated as though the misunderstanding hadn't been resolved. As a longtime customer, that was disappointing and pretty extreme. I still recommend the store for its products and staff overall, but I hope (specific) management treats any future unusual issues like mine with a little more grace, understanding and an overall just nicer demeanor.

A young sales man asked if we needed help. I asked a couple of questions. When it seemed I may only be a "sales shopper" he literally rolled his eyes at me while walking away. I said "I saw that. I've never been to a store dedicated to just one brand; I've only been to places like the Tennis Plaza. The spot is a bit hidden away in an area that looks like a corporate park. The inside is a pretty decent size and even has a "play area" you can test out paddles. They have items from rackets, paddles, hats, balls, and even athletic wear. The inside is half office and half store/court. We got to chat with Chris and he let us know that they actually host an event every month with food and drinks and even give special offers and discounts during those events! It was so tempting to walk out without a paddle but I controlled my urge. We did however leave with a paddle for my cousin for her birthday. A great spot to test and pick up a paddle!

Then, five days ago during a windy stay at the Marriott, I did some investigating and gave Rick at Pompano Beach Kiteboarding a call. I initially signed up for a 3-lesson package, but ended up adding a 4th lesson since the wind kept blowing and I hadn't had so much fun in years. Rick was great, providing all the gear, great instruction, and encouragement. Best part was finally putting things together and getting up for a short stint. Next best thing was that, for a small additional fee Rick gave my 8-year old son instruction as well. The waves were pretty big, so I didn't let him go in the water, but he had a blast learning how to fly and control the kites. Only thing now is to find the Kite scene back home!! Thank, Rick!!
