I was told by the receptionist she would speak with the owners due to our situation and see if they would remove the charge October. When I received a call back I was rather shocked and honestly upset I was told we would be required to pay for the entire month of October since the owners had already posted the bill to our account. I was to stress we haven't had a session yet this month and it is only the 3rd of October so why should we pay for an entire month we would not be using. Not to mention due to health reasons my child had miss sessions twice in September and we said nothing about make up days, we also paid for the entire month of September. I take full responsibility for the missed sessions and have no complaints in paying for sessions we never essentially received. What I have a major issue with is paying for services we won't be receiving. I was told the sessions could be make up sessions but honestly no thanks. We've have two trainers in the past two months and my daughter has not learned a single new skills because all they have done the past two months is basically a free for all with the kids due to new staff. Again I understand everywhere is short staffed. What I don't understand is paying for services we will not be using. Ultimately this has cause me to decide we will not be returning to East Coast as this company is not what it was a year ago, we are all human and I could not foresee not one but two major surgeries upcoming, the lack of empathy, understanding and respect is appalling at this point. Especially when this is coming from the owner themselves. We have never been late on payments and never asked for lenience in anyway until these unfortunate events occurred. With that said our business with East Coast will end and I will enroll my daughter elsewhere once everything calms down.

She is competing now which is what she wanted from the beginning. Her skills have exploded thanks to the talented coaching staff at ECG. The coaches encourage the girls to work together and treat each other respectfully. I love that. I do the same thing at home. I love how the coaches push the girls but do so in positive and affirming manner. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for cheer or gymnastics for their child. I had both my sons and daughter in gymnastics. Gymnastics provides an excellent foundation for boys in sports and will help them be more athletic and agile. This gym also offers a Ninja Warrior program which is really cool.

I was only there for a year. If you join when you're older they seem to ignore you, as you've grown out of the age bracket. The worst thing for me is that one day I was learning to do a front walkover- something I never succeeded at because I was really scared after this- and my teachers were supposed to be spotting me. They said that they were confident in my ability and moved on to another student, leaving me in the center of the floor, pressured to perform. I had never done a front walkover before, there was nothing to be confident in. They were not giving me anymore attention- something they frequently did in favor of my younger, more naturally inclined classmates. But I tried anyway, due to their urging. My legs tucked too far up my back as I flipped over, and I didn't catch myself with my feet. I hurt myself pretty badly by bending my back too much and then falling onto the overextension, but didn't want to let on- for whatever reason. I was a "rub some dirt in it" kid. I cried in the bathroom for like ten minutes while the worst pain calmed down, then managed to feebly get through the rest of the class. Years later, I was getting an xray for something else, and the doctor noted I have a back misalignment "found typically in gymnasts". It's from injuries like what happened to me. Luckily it's minor and doesn't have something they can really do for it, but if I had been more confident without teacher supervision like they were trying to make me, I could have really hurt myself. So, not a great experience. Not gonna do anything about it at this point, and it's been so long since- but wanted parents to be aware what this place is about.

My sons play baseball and have other activities during the spring and summer so they usually participate in gymnastics in the fall and winter. My daughter, 5, loves the developmental class. Under the guidance of Coaches Zac, Ceyara, Cam, and Shauna our daughter has made great strides in her abilities. One thing inexperienced cheer parents, or rec/sideline cheer parents may not realize is that for your kid to excel at an all star level it requires dedication not only from your cheerleader but also from you. I won't lie. It is very expensive. It's very time consuming. But the payoff is that your cheerleader WILL improve in ways you didn't expect. Do not go into all star cheer putting in the bare minimum and expect amazing results. Our daughter is in the gym 5 days a week for practice and extra classes. Where the Rays add value is the class prices. Some gyms look to squeeze you for extras but not at the Rays. If you want to take your cheerleader's development seriously, give the Stingray Allstars one season and you'll see what I mean.

They happened to be closed that day, but the owners were there and kind enough to show us the gym and talk to us about classes. I registered her in tiny cheer, which she has been going to for three weeks. After every class she tells me how happy she is and how nice her coach and new friends are. I am very impressed with the coaches and their ability to manage several 3-4 year olds and still successfully teach them. My daughter is the youngest in her class, so I didn't expect her to learn much at first, but she is learning something new or improving basic skills each week. I am very happy with the pure joy that she gets from going to the Stingrays gym.
