After the visit and follow-up, we were billed $602.49, and I still have not received a clear explanation for why a scheduled wellness visit was billed/processed in a way that left us with significant deductible charges instead of being covered by insurance. They do not let you call the billing department, so I first emailed billing about the issue on April 22. After no response, I followed up on May 1. After still not receiving an answer, I emailed again on May 12 just asking them to acknowledge they were receiving my emails. They finally responded on May 13, saying the issue had been sent to upper management and resubmitted to insurance. I had to follow up again on June 2 before receiving another brief response. At no point did I receive a clear itemized explanation or a direct answer to my main question: why was a pre-scheduled 4-year wellness visit not billed as a preventive wellness visit? At this point, I am out this money unless I pursue formal legal options to recover it. And now I need to find a new pediatrician as I would be stupid to work with this people again.

Although we understand the reasons why our doctor moved away and then left us having to build a new relationship with Dr Howidi. It's something that isn't always welcome in a life that is busy with a child who has high medical needs. We transferred both our daughters over. The transition was easy. We had an appointment, booked to initially meet and go over the needs in our family with both kids. Dr Howidi is very friendly, very calm, listens well, and is very warm. We found his staff to be very thorough, quick and very friendly. It was recommended to meet in three more months to follow up and check in again. We had some bumps along the road with some medical issues arising, and Dr Howidi was very thorough before making recommendations. Of course he had to learn, go over the history and make a decision before he can make a recommendation. I appreciated his processes. As time has passed, and new diagnosis has become known about our daughter. He has been wonderful with making referrals on his own or ones I come to him requesting for. Dr Howidi isn't someone that we consult for answers we work together as a team. A month ago through networking and investing time on my own I have come across a different specialty we haven't consulted with an outstanding issue we are having. I requested him to send us to an infectious disease specialist, and he wasn't sure. He wasn't convinced. But he did it anyways at my request. That's a team. Dr Howidi is far from a doctor who is inflexible. He understands that parents know their kids best. He may not have said this but making the referral to the infectious disease specialist showed me that. He trusts my research, experience, history, and time together with my daughter, to know that making that referral when he didn't quite agree Was still worth that effort. This week my neurotypical daughter struggled very difficulty with a relentless unknown terrible virus. We did not have any booked appointments with him, but seen him twice in a walk-in clinic type setting at the very beginning of the day. Urgent and acute illnesses within a child can be seen in his office with no appointment. We were dealt with very swiftly and very thoroughly. I really can't thank him enough for all that he has, and continues to do for our children and our community. What's his office busy? Of course! Was it bursting at the seams with children and parents coming in for booked appointments and also acutely sick children for a walk in? Of course! It's obvious that we need more pediatricians in the area. This is not a fault of Dr Howidi or his staff. We are thankful, grateful and appreciative of Dr Howidi and his staff.

When I gave birth to my second son a few years ago, Dr. El Sabbagh even came to visit me in the hospital. I was impressed because It was unexpected and showed how he cares for his patients. They never pressured me into getting my kids vaccinated or doing anything I wasn't comfortable doing, like previous pediatricians. Dr. El sabbath and his staff always made me feel comfortable and made it easy for me to ask questions. Now that El sabbath has expanded his practice, we no longer see him as much as we use to. We miss him but he has amazing staff and doctors working along side him. They accept walks in and you can almost always schedule a same day appointment. The wait times are generally reasonable, which is a huge plus with little ones. The place is nice and clean. The decor is modern. I would love it if they made the waiting area kid friendly. I believe bright colors and a playful aesthetic would make it feel more like a pediatric office. Overall, I feel confident and comfortable bringing my children here, and I'm grateful for the care we've received.

My eldest daughter had been in a severe accident, suffering life altering injuries and I was raising another child who was disabled. My son was diagnosed as ADHD and had been put on medication. Due to my daughter's accident we had recently moved and I didn't have the resources to get my son to his appointment. I was overwhelmed but he needed his medication! Dr. Alex el Sabbagh wrote a script for my sons medication. The second time I tried to get him to give my son his meds, even with a prior script he made excuses as to why he couldn't. When I requested he contribute a rationalization for not permitting my son to retain his medication. He became irate and belligerent. He began to yell at me in front of his staff. My Aunt was on the phone and heard the commotion, asking who is he speaking to that way. I was immensely embarrassed. I proposed we speak in private which he obliged but not before demanding I hang up my call. I tried depicting my situation to him entailing what I was dealing with, now in tears. He continued to over talk me and spit insults, he declared not to write the script before leaving me in the room. This gets worse unfortunately, when I tried leaving a review on his platform he assumed I was drug seeking. He literally asserted this on his platform. This was slander in its worse form! I was devastated, I felt bullied and discriminated against. I couldn't help but notice that there weren't many people of color in his office and that definitively nobody else was being told no for scripts for their children!

I have received nothing but false information numerous times and just was being patient with the process however i am here now and still no appointment and INFORMATION somehow got lost which i know for a fact the information was received because a staff member reached out to me to see if i had got my child assigned thru her ins company. very disappointed... now to be seen else where i have to now call her insurance company and have them assign her else where. Our first thought upon walking in was it was very kid friendly with a very colorful ambience! The lady at the front desk is so delightful every time we are in there! She always has a smile on her face and makes us feel like family! All of the nursing staff has also been very welcoming and always ready to listen! Dr. Sana Syed has been a blessing as a Pediatrician! At our initial appointment she listens to our concerns, helped us come up with solutions to help in the meantime, referred us to a pediatric ENT where they decided to perform surgery the next day! Where as the other Pediatrician just gave us the runaround, Dr. Syed heard us and made things happen! Every appointment since we still feel just as welcomed and always have her undivided attention and knowledge! Everything we could've possibly ever wanted in a Pediatrician. Then when they got to the office they told her they would not see her daughter because she isn't vaccinated. (Meanwhile she's only 2 weeks old so the only vaccine she hasn't received is hep b and vitamin k). Today we went to have our 2 month check up and they told us they wouldn't see her because there's an issue with my insurance. Thanks for the heads up! We were in the parking lot, and the only notification I got about the issue was a text saying "please call front desk regarding insurance issue" 2 days before the appointment. When I tried to call I was on hold for 29 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. So I hung up figuring we'd work it out at her appointment.
