We are a family that used Royal Birmingham Medical Center for our urgent care needs previously…read more Campbell UC is like a palace in comparison. It is clean, has equipment that looks like it's from this decade, staff is friendly & PROFESSIONAL, etc. I took my six year old in this past weekend when he had a cartwheel gone wrong and I was worried he may have broken his thumb. We waited just long enough for me to fill out the two page contact info paperwork and give them our insurance card. No more than ten minutes. A nurse/assistant took us back to a small exam room where we waited about 5 minutes before the doctor came in to see us. The nurse/medical assistant had his history pulled up from all his Beaumont doctor visits, so they must be connected to the Beaumont system? It was really nice to not have to fill that information all out, especially if this was a urgent visit. A young male doctor came in a few minutes later and took a look at it, told us he didn't think it was a break but would X-ray to be sure. Five minutes later, the X-ray was done and his thumb was splinted. I am so used to doctors taking at least half the day. Campbell UC checked him out, X-rayed, and treated in under an hour. Impressive! We will come here next time, for sure. Just hopefully not too soon ;-)

Sam was gentle and explained everything as she did it! and Jen the PA listened to my symptoms and recommended a plan that included medicine and rest! I appreciated all the wonderful care I received. I have been to this location a few times and always had a positive experience.

Waited 20 minutes in an empty lobby--which is honestly fast for this location--and was seen by a nurse, who took all of the patient history and symptoms. When the PA came in later--I don't know if they even have any doctors on staff despite their advertisements because I know I've never seen one--she asked all the same questions again to a nearly unconscious, lethargic, and crying patient. It was three minutes before she said "go see a neurologist," gave us a phone number for Beaumont's cardiac care, and was ready to walk out the door without explaining her reasoning or thought process for any of it. Again, no doctors on staff to prescribe medication. I've been put through the wringer with the healthcare system since I was eight years old. Strokes, surgery, epilepsy, every different kind of "therapy" there is in Medical School 101. I've seen blunt doctors, mean doctors, doctors who are too careful and end up misdiagnosing in unneeded precaution. But Carol Greer was none of these things; she admitted she wasn't interested in pursuing any further testing because "you guys came to the urgent care." The more I learn about Corewell, the more I hate it. Between the mass firings, union busting, and tele-doctors, I would have been better off driving to Detroit or Ann Arbor and getting help. In the past, I've spent hours in this building only to be shunted off to the ER or given two tablets of Tylenol to take with dinner, so don't expect anything other than that. I hate to sound like a Karen, but if you're thinking about coming here, just go to Royal Urgent Care, Henry Ford, or honestly your family member who's a doctor instead; you'd get better advice out of Doc McStuffins than you'd get from here.

Unfortunately for me, whenever I seem to get sick it's always on a weekend or a day when my regular…read moredoctor is unavailable. Since it's close by and open, I normally am forced to end up at this sorry excuse of a doctor's office. I've given this office more than a handful of chances to prove me wrong, but so far it keeps getting worse and worse. Below are the main reasons I'm giving them one star: 1. The staff is incredibly rude and either does not listen to you or answers in a very condescending tone 2. For some reason, whenever I go in there is never an actual doctor in the office and only a nurse practitioner 3. Even when I've been the only person in the waiting room, I've had to sit around waiting to be seen for no less than an hour. The longest I've waited was three hours and there was only two people ahead of me. 4. They out of the blue stopped accepting my insurance (Blue Cross) and instead of telling me, they just charged me $400 and mailed me the bill four months later. 5. After making monthly payment arrangements with the biller (who works in a separate office and is very helpful) I was then sent to collections even after making my monthly payments on time every month. 6. After calling the office manager at least five times, my calls were never returned and the receptionist Shivontae was very rude to me. After all of the hoopla (months later and moving 20 hours away) I'm still dealing with them. Don't go to this doctor's office unless you have a lot of free time to be able to put up with them afterwards.
