Unprofessional, Misleading, and Dishonest…read more As a first-time bride(like most bride's), I relied on Kristin's professionalism to guide me through the process -- but instead, I was misled and overcharged. She told me she could "make it work" if I brought in my own hair stylist, and even accepted an introduction to that person. At no point did she make it clear that her pricing wouldn't change -- even if she wasn't providing hair services. By the time she revealed that I'd still be charged full price, it was too late to adjust. If you're a wedding vendor working with someone new to this (like most brides), you have a responsibility to be transparent and fill in the gaps -- not take advantage of them. I ended up feeling cornered and exploited. I would strongly caution anyone against working with Kristin unless you're prepared to overpay for services you don't receive.

I told her I'm really bad at explaining what I want but I just want to freshen up my roots for this weekend which I have a special event and my hair was looking too dark on the top and light on the bottom. I showed a few different pictures hoping she could choose one that was realistic and worked with what I have, making it clear I don't really know or care what exactly I want done but overall just needed to lighten the roots even just a little bit kinda pull a little lightness up for a fresh and cleaner look. I told her I understand it's not going to be exactly like any of the pics or perfect in any way, but she wasn't willing to try anything.. literally asked me to leave, saying we're not a good fit. I was shocked. I asked if she could at least do something, like a few highlights or even just toner or SOMEthing, and that I would come back again so we could work toward my desired look little by little. She didn't even offer to blow dry it so I would at least have nice hair for my event, she just kicked me out because I didn't have an exact specific thing I wanted done, or I guess it wasn't clear enough to her. I was forced to leave the salon with the same frizzy salon-day-just-woke-up-hair/ ready-to-get-my-hair-done hair, which completely ruined my plans for the day and the weekend as now I have to make time to wash and style and do my own hair on a very tight schedule. I almost feel like I did something wrong since I literally got kicked out of her salon, like I'm being punished. I'm a pretty shy/polite person; I was smiling the whole time and just wanted her professional input. After getting asked to leave I sat in the parking lot for an hour, sort of in shock, and started calling other salons to see if I could get a last minute appointment. But of course now it's late on a Friday afternoon so I have no choice but to make do with this frizzy mess for my special weekend. I'm in absolute shock. Very cold and unfriendly atmosphere. Not exactly the customer service I expected from a business owner. I felt kinda bad about myself after this experience, but I'm going to get over it right now and be the positive person that I am so I'm just happy and thankful to God for everything and every experience that I have, both the bad and the good, and embrace my hair for what it is right now!
