Our quartz kitchen countertop was damaged by ServPro. It filled the crack improperly. We found the damage ourselves and had to deal with ServPro to get it fixed properly, A worker damaged our dining room window treatment. He then hung a blind upside down trying to hide it. Our dining table legs were damaged by ServPro, They stuffed the bottom with newsprint, trying to keep the table from wobbling and hoped we wouldn't notice. We did. A valve that feeds gas to our fireplace was walled over during the reconstruction. We used ServPro's own plumber to cut the drywall and give us access to the valve. We had to file a lawsuit in Lake County to try to get back out $200 for the bill. Only after we filed the lawsuit, did they send a check. ServPro collected over $77,000.00 for the reconstruction. But it tried to avoid responsibility for many of its mistakes in our home. So we do not recommend using them.

I was disturbed by that comment as we had just lost a finished basement before even moving into the home we purchased. When they completed the work, we found that they indeed break the mini water heater that was attached to the sink. In addition, ServPro charged me with throwing away the baseboards, but they left them on the floor in the middle of the basement. I called the regional manager Ruth to let her know about his actions and that the invoice is incorrect because the scope of the work was not completed. She apologized for his behavior but said he was probably just joking. Which is not at all helpful. She told me they would reimburse me for the incomplete work (leaving baseboards behind) and the broken water heater. Since then, I have been trying to contact the regional manager to settle this matter and she has ghosted me. I have sent several emails and called the office. They promised they would relay the message, and she would get back to me. I would not recommend them at all! She has yet to respond this was almost a month ago!

We had a disaster water leak that created a huge mess. Our bathroom was fully gutted and laundry room ceiling was partially torn down before they rebuilt the bathroom. We had Carlos and Edgar work at our house for nearly 3 weeks. They were very skilled at many tasks: framing out partial walls, drywall installation, extensive tiling, reinstalling European toilet, cabinets, sinks , patching, sanding and priming walls, lighting, and faucets. They're based in Waukegan but we found them because they had done other homes on our street during the same time. They saved us because we didn't have the tools to do it ourselves and we needed to mitigate all water, moisture ASAP before wood paneling in our basement was permanently damaged. As most people experienced, it was extremely difficult to find a damage restoration company that was available and wasn't charging inflated prices to take advantage. The project manager was great and the work was done well. Didn't give a perfect 5 because they threw away a piece of kitchen panel (by accident) that we have to replace and we never sent us quotes for additional work.
