After an extremely snowy winter ended, I realized that there were cracks leading to the upstairs and ceilings. I was afraid that it was potentially a foundational problem. I contacted several companies for a consultation, but some of them turned me down because they didn't believe there was a structural damage. On the other hands, some of them didn't even offer a consultation and would just send a handy man who charged hourly labor. "Rose Restoration" agreed with a free, in-person visual inspection and I thought it was great! Armin came in on time at the scheduled time and wore his PPE. He was very thorough and even looked around the entire exterior of the house to see if there were signs of foundational flaws. He then wrote a proposal and gave us a quote. I thought the price was reasonable and competitive. I decided to proceed with this project. Armin actually took two (2) days to complete sealing the cracks. It was his one-man show! We were satisfied with the result and amount of time he spent on working on the walls and cleaning afterward. I then showed our unfinished basement after the water damage a couple of years ago and requested him if he restored the dry walls. Once again, he gave me a quote so I could think about it. When we were ready for the dry wall project, I contacted him via text and he wrote me a detailed proposal and the price including the credit card surcharge. Everything was very transparent and easy to understand. This time it took him three (3) days to complete, just by himself. I also appreciated his cleaned the backdoor hall way going out to the backyard because he inserted the drywalls from there and he said he came in contact with the area. We had puddles in the basement, owner came out quickly gave me very reasonable estimate, much less than some of the larger companies that were pushing it was the tiles rather than crack in concrete wall. What impressed me was his concern about the mold on the bottom of the panels in basement. He also sprayed for mold, repaired the cracks, and was extremely nice and proud of his work. My basement was taking on water during heavy rains making it damp and musty. I contacted Rose and two other businesses for an estimate. The person (forgot his name!), came out and took his time checking the basement for areas where there could be sources of leaks. Another company (highly rated on Yelp) came out and was not nearly as thorough. He was professional and patient. He wrote up the estimate after checking everything and the cost was competitive with the other company. Rose also offered a better warranty on the repairs. I waited to do this review until after this last bit of rain and I did not see any water in the basement and it's actually starting to smell less musty.
