We found that we often had Maps and/or coverage on the trails, and Craig assured us that if by some slim chance we ran into trouble, couldn't reach him and didn't return by dark, he knew where we'd headed and would come after us. The Jeep ran great, we had zero issues and a ton of fun! He was actually pretty happy that we brought the Jeep back covered in mud. Tip: take a small cooler full of water and snacks. So many great places to stop and picnic.

Hi all! The…read moreAdventure Company was very professional from start to finish, and they were fun too. My family and I went rafting, and at that time, the Arkansas River was really high. There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices). It was a little bit of a hike from Dillon, Frisco area. About 2 hours drive, but the scenery is amazing, and with good company, it makes an easy drive. You pass through some interesting towns on the way if you want to stop and get lunch or dinner! Overall, this was an awesome trip!

We had a group of 11 people and got to drive two sixers on a super fun adventure. They are the only company in this area with permits to ride through national forests. They provided everything we needed to have a great ride and Matt is a knowledgeable guide, good with kids, and very experienced. We saw wildlife, including a bull moose, elk, and mule deer. We traversed some awesome trails that could not be accessed by anything less than an ATV. After this experience we will be hiring Matt every year we that we come this way. We rode in a six-seater UTV and had some of the best views I've ever seen, including incredible sights of Pikes Peak. Being out there really puts things into perspective. It was sad to see parts of the forest still recovering from a human-caused fire that happened years ago, but it also made the experience more meaningful to witness the resilience of nature firsthand. I had an amazing time--truly one of those experiences you don't forget. I would 100% do this again. Next time, though, I'd probably book it in the summer because it was pretty cold and my feet were frozen . Totally worth it, though!
