I looked up the site this morning to remind myself of the location, and found some surprising reviews. 1) I have always found Dr. Ingersoll and his staff to be professional, friendly and helpful. I'm not there to get his life story or have beers, but rather for medical services, so there's a reasonable limit interactions. 2) Anybody who goes to the dermatologist without a list of areas of concern that they have noticed over time has nobody but themselves to blame if something is missed, in my opinion. I was not impressed with Dr. Ingersoll. He doesn't even make an attempt to be friendly or personable and from the moment he walks in the room it feels like it's the last place he wants to be, and he can't wait to be done so he can leave, and answering any questions seems like it's just an inconvenience for him. The front desk is an absolute disgrace for customer service. The older blonde (Angela) is very unprofessional and nasty. She was training a younger woman, maybe she's taking her place! Because she shouldn't be dealing with people in general. I asked if she could take my insurance cards, and boy how dare I ask anything of her while her trainee was on the phone, as if I were the inconvenience. If there were another office for dermatology in our area (grand junction) I would go to it just to not have to deal with the terrible front of office staff. This was the worst medical experience I have ever had. I had been cleared by my physician after doing chemo cream for basal cell. Physician suggested seeing a dermatologist for skin checks each year so I chose Epiphany. Epiphany said my Dr. was incorrect and I would need Mohs Surgery. Got a second opinion from another dermatologist, who agreed with my physician and no surgery needed. I would highly recommend not using Epiphany for dermatology needs. read more

Absolutely horrible. On my first appointment I had a 60 minute wait, but I did see my doctor (Yamila Goenago). On my second appointment I only had a 45 minute wait, however, after 45 minutes in their patient room I finally left their building without seeing a doctor. Interestingly is that on neither occasion did anyone contact me or apologize for their being late. In fact, my second appointment was at 9:00 am and at 9:45 (45 minutes late), and I still didn't see a doctor or a nurse. So how can they be late for an early 9 am appointment? Sounds like their Doctor was simply late to work. After being in business for 40 years, I suggest they have a staff meeting on customer service and patient care. Obviously I do not recommend. Dr. Ingersoll was not very personable, nor was he thorough, he did not seem very interested in my long term issues with skin cancer, I had to point out areas that needed treatment that he should have found if he had done a thorough inspection, I will be seeking treatment for my skin cancer at another facility for the future treatment of my skin cancer. No one answers the phone for followup appointment's. Website is worst. Web based appointments do not work. Try to schedule durind what they say is an open time and a day later they will tell you it was already taken. Going elsewhere and recommend you do the same. read more

Don't waste your time is all I can say, horrible check in process for new patients, wasting my time trying to schedule an appointment and told they wouldn't schedule until I provide my husband's private information for insurance after I agreed to pay the $300 for the office visit. I am in the process of separating from my marriage (is that any of their business, NO! it is not, and I shouldn't have to explain such private details of my life to a receptionist), they are denying me an appointment for basic healthcare as if this is the 1930's and I need a husbands' permission, is disgusting. Thanks for wasting my time Jose from Grand Junction, and after your office displayed horrible communication by transferring my call around without explanation from person to person for this first appointment. I went here on a referral from another doctor, and wish I had asked for another place or read all these reviews before agreeing to go. I *think* I saw Yamila Goenaga, but she didn't introduce herself during the extremely rushed 10 minutes her and I were in a room together. I was referred for one thing, and after only a 10 minute appointment, left with a blood work request in order to see if my kidneys are functioning well enough to be on a 3 month treatment for... toenail fungus? Which is not at all why I even went (and I also don't even believe I have toenail fungus... my toenails are fine lol but she was EAGER to prescribe medicine and get me the hell out of there). The second a doctor recommends an intense 3-month oral medication for a cosmetic issue that honestly, she BARELY looked at -- that's when I know they are not a good physician. That is a disgusting practice that makes me highly question their integrity. I will not be back here, ever, and have been telling others to avoid it as well. My sister needs a dermatologist for her family of 5 that just moved here and I wish I could have given her a good recommendation, but all I could tell her is AVOID EPIPHANY AT ALL COSTS. read more

I am very sorry I didn't ask questions and review this practice before making an appointment for the simple removal of some actinic keratoses. I made the mistake of trusting a letter from the previous owner of the practice, who was an experienced and competent board-certified dermatologist, announcing the sale of his practice to a new group, I made an appointment expecting the same level of professional competence and treatment. I regret that I did not inquire about treatment, charges, Medicare coverage, and professional supervision by a certified dermatologist. I have not previously regarded myself as naive, but not I am questioning my own judgment in following up with a new practice with new owners. Big mistake. When I arrived, I was ushered into a treatment room and greeted by a technician (not a dermatologist) who asked why I had come. When I told her that I was following up on previous appointments for removal of skin lesions - one suspected of being a carcinoma and others previously diagnosed as sun-damage-caused keratoses. She was cheerful, chatty, and immediately preceeded to inspect the lesions, offering to remove them, quickly proceeding to "freeze" each of the spots. I agreed to the treatment, even though I expected a physician supervisor to come in at any moment and confirm the diagnosis/treatment. Really dumb. I was already thinking that I should seek a followup with another dermatologist, and now I really wish I had walked away without treatment because the lesions that were supposedly treated have changed little in the weeks since the appointment. To make matters worse, I received a bill indicating that the entire visit was not covered by Medicare, as I had expected. My mistake for not asking. I am seriously disappointed by my experience with this practice. Not recommended. Caveat emptor! read more

I wasn't going to write a review on this place because I didn't want to waste anymore of my time or energy, but after receiving a bill from them a YEAR after I went to see them, it brought up the horrendous experience I had there and so I want to write this to make everyone aware of this joke of a dermatologist. It will be a long one, so hang tight. It's worth the read. I was going to be seen for acne seeing as though I lived in Denver, had a dermatologist there and moved to GJ and needed to continue with my prescriptions. I had the first appointment of the day, which I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I then watched the "Dr." walk in 30 minutes after my appointment time and then proceeded to tell the front desk lady to call and order him breakfast which took another 15 minutes. I was going in before I had to go into work, so I was dressed business casual. In a dress (very obviously a dress) and heels. I sat down and he asked me EVERY single question that I had just spent 20 minutes filling out on the paperwork, I brushed it off....maybe this "Dr." was still daydreaming of his ham and cheese breakfast sandwich he just ordered. I described why I was coming in and needing refills, for acne ON MY FACE. He looked at me, reached at the top of my dress and said "can you take this off." I said "no it's a dress and it doesn't need to come off to look at acne on my face." From that point I should have just left and reported that pea brained Dr. Creep, but I continued with my appointment with no patience left. He told me I need to change all of my medications and wanted me to try all of his bullshit remedies. I said no, got up to leave and he said "you need to check out at the front." So I go to check out and he interrupts me and the front desk lady to continue to order his breakfast sandwich. I have never in my ENTIRE life been somewhere so unprofessional and absolutely disgusting. I feel so bad that this poor excuse of a man wasted half his life getting his doctorates degree just to piss all over it. I also feel bad for the ladies who are working there, I hope Dr.Creep doesn't try any nonsense with them. Whatever you do, DO NOT go to this place. I am really surprised by the reviews I have read. I am very pleased with the services I received and the professionals in this office. I feel the same way about all of the staff members I was in contact with. I have referred friends and everyone has been pleased. Worst dermatology office ever. The office staff are rude, don't communicate with one another, have no idea how to handle issues with patients, never return messages, the doctor himself is not on top of it. My son who was a patient and needed to be seen before going into bootcamp and to be cleared by the doctor was a joke. It took literally 10 days to get a letter typed up by the doctor clearing him for duties into the Marine Corp, that I actually had to tell the doctor what to write. Have called at least 25 times during the past 3 months trying to set up a followup appointment for skin surgery I had last spring. Always left a message and no one has ever called me back. I live in Grand Junction, no St. George but cannot get Yelp to change it. I change it then it comes back to St. George. Anyway. Avoid this place. I have been going to Epiphany Dermatology since October of 2019. Every time I am there, every single person is amazing. I always schedule my appointment first thing in the morning because it makes the rest of my day great!! They have given me hope when I was down due to my condition. They make me feel like I am a person and not just a number and that I matter. I would NEVER go anywhere else. Then looked me over for 4 mins max, asked me questions that I had already answered on the forms and with the assistant. Then asked me the same question 3 times in a row, I thought he was joking! I told him what we had already tried as far as treatment goes but no no still not listening prescribed the same thing that I had just told him didn't work!! Ahhh! Tried to sell me his snake oil.
