When the work was done there were SEVERAL tiny pin sized holes throughout the floor. They blamed it on picking a solid color. If we had chosen flakes it would have masked it. They also downplayed having the holes in the floor like it was no big deal. To be fair he offered to fix with some type of refund or coming back years later to touch it up. Home Depot told me I would have to replace the entire floors with new flooring for $12k. Robert's team led by Carlos laced the wood back together (they had to take up a larger part of the floor because the boards didn't line up perfectly on either side of the old repair) and were able to reuse many of our existing boards to do it, you can see the new wood over by the wall in the collage. They sanded the floors down and prepared three stain samples (bottom left photo of the collage) based on colors we picked from a fan book they loaned us. The bottom right photo is the finished product and we couldn't be happier with how the floors turned out! They took great care of our home, using plastic to cover the openings to the kitchen and all vents so the dust didn't end up anywhere it shouldn't, and cleaned up the remaining dust when they finished. The stain is Nutmeg from Duraseal on red oak hardwood, with a Satin finish polyurethane sealant.
