Jerry and his team knocked it out in a day and gave us the beautiful satin finish we were looking for. This job was particularly interesting from my point of view for a few reasons. The first reason was that I had a few large pieces of furniture that I could not remove from the unit. I ended up putting the large pieces of furniture on furniture dollys/casters and Jerry had no problem moving the pieces of furniture around while doing his work. Additionally, there was a large piece of the flooring approximately 10 square feet that needed to be patched. He filled this in with 10,000 psi concrete. Obviously there is a difference in texture of the polished concrete in these locations but that is something I am okay with in an adaptive reuse loft. We hired Jerry to polish a concrete floor (previously under carpet) in our living room. Jerry did a great job of communicating about the process and what we could expect when he was done. I shared photos of the floor, and he was able to describe what the finished floor would look like. The job took two half-days. The work was not that disturbing (of course there is some noise) and Jerry and his assistant did a good job of cleaning up. The floor came out great. It is modern, but also shows some real history by exposing various marks and irregularities in the original concrete. I'd attach a photo, but we are in the middle of doing the rest of the room so it is hard to show it. Finally, Jerry is a really nice guy. My wife kept asking me where I found him.
