Jerry and his team knocked it out in a day and gave us the beautiful satin finish we were looking for. This job was particularly interesting from my point of view for a few reasons. The first reason was that I had a few large pieces of furniture that I could not remove from the unit. I ended up putting the large pieces of furniture on furniture dollys/casters and Jerry had no problem moving the pieces of furniture around while doing his work. Additionally, there was a large piece of the flooring approximately 10 square feet that needed to be patched. He filled this in with 10,000 psi concrete. Obviously there is a difference in texture of the polished concrete in these locations but that is something I am okay with in an adaptive reuse loft. We hired Jerry to polish a concrete floor (previously under carpet) in our living room. Jerry did a great job of communicating about the process and what we could expect when he was done. I shared photos of the floor, and he was able to describe what the finished floor would look like. The job took two half-days. The work was not that disturbing (of course there is some noise) and Jerry and his assistant did a good job of cleaning up. The floor came out great. It is modern, but also shows some real history by exposing various marks and irregularities in the original concrete.
