Dr. Epstein and his staff set the bar for excellence in medical care. His office runs like a well oiled machine. I had a great deal of trepidation going to a new office after my trusted physician of many years retired. I saw Dr. Epstein on the advice from my cardiologist, despite the fact his office is at the opposite end of the state from my home. He is worth the travel. Cheryl contacted me prior to my appointment and explained in detail what to expect. She sent me all the necessary paperwork so I was able to complete it in the comfort of my home. I was happy to find the office is a free standing clean medical building with ample free parking. Julie greeted me at the front desk and is very kind and personable. She gave me a key for the restroom which is a single room and very clean. Tara took down my initial medical information in a kind and caring manner. Dr. Epstein arrived very prepared, addressed me by name and was clearly aware of my medical history. He obviously does his homework. My surgeries went exactly as he said it would. The entire process was very smooth. Cheryl provided me with a comprehensive check list for the eyedrops, which was so helpful. I know friends whom used other providers were very confused by this and received no instructions. Dr. Epstein's medical acumen is surpassed only by his care and compassionate bedside manner; a trait that is only too rare in physicians today. Go to this man. You will be glad you did. My experience with Dr. Andrew Epstein of 146 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT, was stellar. I had cataract surgery in both eyes, and chose the multi focus Reveal lenses. Dr. Epstein's office staff is warm, friendly, and very accommodating. The wait time for my appointment was very brief. I needed to get both of my surgeries done within a month's time to benefit from having met my insurance deductibles that calendar year. Cheryl, his office manager, was able to fit me in to the surgical center's schedule. Dr. Epstein is a very kind and gentle person. He is an extraordinarily exceptional surgeon, and he pays very close attention to exacting standards and patient comfort. His bedside manner is perfect. He is a very calm and thorough doctor.I wore glasses all of my life since grade 3, and now I am enjoying 20/20 vision for the first time in my life. I experienced absolutely no discomfort whatsoever. The day after the surgery I was able to see! I had to remind myself to avoid bending and lifting, because it did not feel as though I had any surgery at all.
