This review should have been posted a long time ago, but here it is. I have known Dr. Epstein for over 10 years. He was my doctor back in 2014 when I underwent a breast augmentation and lift. At the time, as a very busy professional, I was curious about his "one-day recovery method." All went well--his method really did work. I had my surgery, and after a long weekend I was back at work with no issues. After Covid, I began experiencing health issues with my breasts, not related to my implants but rather due to an immune disease I developed. Dr. Epstein was there for me every step of the way, even though my complications had nothing to do with my implants. He always gave me an appointment, took my concerns seriously, and ultimately helped connect me to the right specialist who gave me a proper diagnosis. Earlier this year, I decided to have an explant. Dr. Epstein never hesitated or tried to convince me otherwise--he was fully supportive and performed the surgery himself. I trusted no one else. His in-office medical center is top notch, his staff is incredible, and they always made me feel comfortable and cared for. The surgery went perfectly, and thanks to Dr. Epstein, my breasts look phenomenal--as if I never even had an explant. I'm so happy with the results. More recently, I experienced a flare-up of my immune disease and needed a breast abscess drained. Even though Dr. Epstein was away internationally, he never left me without care. He made sure I was referred to the right doctor immediately and personally arranged for me to be seen and treated. He did it all from miles apart. No doctor does that! This man completely BOTCHED my procedure, I am in extreme pain and I'm now getting revision surgery. I SEE ALL THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS I WAS IN SHOCK MYSELF. Now I am sure he DELETES non self serving reviews. I am sure he will FIND AN EXCUSE to reply to this and TWIST accountability. This man gave me ZERO aftercare instructions- never told me about swelling, cleaning, caring for the site or what to expect, lest it scare off any potential customers. Not only is he unprofessional, so is his office. The nurse Javina told me I didn't need to be NPO for my procedure, I could eat a small breakfast and just had to avoid "animal meats." Days later the anesthesiologist told me I absolutely COULD NOT EAT, I needed to just drink water beforehand. We added on the propofol two weeks before the date of the surgery at the pre op appointment. The nurse and anesthesiologist said to "get there around 12 or 1" but that I'd get a call from the office the day before confirming the time. That NEVER HAPPENED. I got a text a few days before and hours AFTER my procedure again asking to confirm I'd be there, only stating the date of my surgery. I was told by Dr. Epstein himself I'd receive a call from him personally that night and a nurse the next day. I never received a call from either. When I brought this up to him he said "Sorry I must have fallen asleep." At a post op appt, while he was examining me, he said to the female staff member in the room "tweezer and scissors" to which my mother asked "what are you doing?" He said he was just going to take out some of the stitches that haven't dissolved yet. I did not want him taking stitches out as I was in pain and was also blindsided. I said to him "I hope if you were going to take out stitches you would ask for my consent" and he gave me a nervous smile. There was no informed consent- he gave himself his own consent to take painful stitches out of my body. He was extremely rough during my exams. At one appt I asked him to please be gentle because of what happened the previous appt and he said "That's what they call me. Mr. gentle" and smiled. He was not gentle this time either. I can't begin to explain my traumatic experience with this man. He told me multiple times that I was an "outlier" for not healing in his one week MAX recovery time he advertises for patients and that out of his hundreds of patients I'm the only one who had pain for that long. He is extremely DISMISSIVE. He tried to upsell me on a "PRP injection" during my first consultation, a procedure that is injected into the vaginal canal, but did not disclose this. He words things in a way to not scare you "the anesthetic is just a pinch under the skin" when really it's an injection into the "skin" of delicate tissue. Despite the over confident promises he makes, I had trust in him and was confident in his skill from his accolades and credentials. In addition, I put a down deposit for the surgery and then postponed it because I switched jobs and could not afford it at the time. I received an email from the surgical coordinator, Ruth, a few months later asking if I was planning to get my procedure done because the deposit is only "good for six months from the date you put it down." This was never disclosed in writing. When I stated that I wish I had known this beforehand and explained my situation she said "keep in touch with me and I'll hold your deposit until the end of 2025." Who is making these rules? This is called COERCION. This doctor is focused on filling his own pocket, at expense of the patient, and as a nurse myself who has worked with many doctors and surgeons I can tell you that this man is incredibly DANGEROUS. A couple of years ago, I went to him to put a filler called Bellafill in my temples. This is a permanent filler. It never goes away. He put the "filler" in and nothing filled. When I saw the before and after pictures, there was clearly no difference. After-the-fact, I discovered that when you use this filler, you must make sure the patient is not allergic. He didn't do this. I have gone to another surgeon since and was told nothing was in my temples. This man is a fraud and stole over 2k from me. Stay clear of him. read more

Dr. Epstein is a magician! I had a breast augmentation with him and it was the best decision I have ever made. Him and his staff made me feel comfortable, were so knowledgeable and informative and are truly just amazing at what they do. When I decided to get my breasts done I did a lot of research and thankfully fell upon Dr. Epstein. I was skeptical at the thought of having a 24 hour recovery but it is so real and my results are phenomenal!!!! My breasts are exactly what I wanted, they completely fit my Frame and my body. They're symmetrical and just perfect for me. I was afraid of them being too big or too small so I left it up to his judgment after explaining what I wanted them to look like and boy is he amazing at what he does! The incisions are healing beautifully and you cannot even notice them. My breasts are perfect and I couldn't be happier with them. The recover was another amazement. I literally went to the gym the day of my surgery. I had surgery at 7:30 AM and I was at the gym 12 hours later at 7pm just to walk on the treadmill- but still! Then I went home, showered, walked around the mall and went out to dinner. His recipe for recovery is unlike anything I've ever heard of but it works. Four days after the surgery I went on vacation. I was able to go on a plane with no issues, a boat and just do normal things on vacation. (You just cannot go into the water for a few weeks because the incisions need to heal so you do not get an infection. That was the only thing I was not able to do.) The tools he uses and just his hand really makes him stand out from every other plastic surgeon. They rip and tear at the chest muscles which make it really hard to recover and make it more painful. Not Epstein. I was able to reach my arms above my head immediately after surgery without any pain. I only took ibuprofen 800 to reduce swelling and ease the minimal minimal discomfort of soreness. I did not take any narcotics and did not need to. My husband and I were astonished at the whole experience because this was completely different from what we've heard other people's experiences to be like. I was pretty skeptical about the 24 hour recovery so I took the day after surgery off so I can take it easy. But honestly I didn't need to take off at all. I could have gone to work the next day. Instead I cleaned the house, drove myself to the dmv and drove myself grocery shopping without any issues. The anesthesia was also a great experience. If you're like me, don't worry about the anesthesia!!! The one thing that held me back from getting this surgery at first was the fact that I would be put to sleep because I am afraid. The anesthesiologist that works with Epstein has been working with him for over 30 years and she is such a sweet and wholesome person. She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. She knew I was nervous so she called me and spoke to me for legitimately 15-20 minutes just describing what the experience would be like and her background in depth. Over all The entire experience was painless and a breeze. I'm still blown away at the fact that I had a major surgery and was at the gym the day of. He is THAT good. I went to dr epstein because he came to me as a referral. Long story short, i had vaser done which cost me $10,000 for abs and flanks. Its been enough time since the surgery and my results are NOT flattering at all. When i addressed my disappointment with the dr, his asst and the coordinator aka money lady, i recieved a whopping $7,000 for a revision bill that didnt even include a tuck since now i have saggy skin in my lower abs. Talk about customer service wow. I even went to other surgeons for 2nd and 3rd opinions and they both said that a revision should cost me NOWHERE near $7,000. Like i said, the coordinator must make a nice commission.. since she is nothing but short and brief with explanations etc. so theoretically, i would be in $17,000 to his office should i ever decide to have him do a revision which doesnt include a tuck. I still cant get over that. I am sick thinking of my experience. It makes me extremely sad that my hard earned money went to an office that could really care-less. I know how important it is for me to research doctors and procedures and to hear of others' experiences, both the good and the bad, and if you're here reading, you feel the same way! In August of 2018 I had Body-Tite on my inner thighs, outer thighs, back of legs, and buttocks, coupled with PAL Liposuction (which was on my outer thighs only) performed by Dr. Epstein. Dr. Epstein: I honestly cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Epstein. He is kind, empathetic, incredibly smart, patient, listens, and has the best bedside manner of any physician I have ever been to. When I met him at the consultation, he was very open and candid about the procedure, took the time to listen to all of my questions and my concerns, and we chatted on a personal level as well, which helped my comfort level. He explained thoroughly what the procedure would entail, what the recovery would look like, how long the healing process would take, and when I would notice results (no, results aren't immediate, just be a little patient!) After meeting Dr. Epstein in person I knew this was going to be my surgeon, it was a feeling of comfort and I trusted his work (of course, looked at as many before and afters as I could and read countless reviews!!). Dr. Epstein does not leave out any detail - after surgery, he called me personally to make sure I was okay and assured me he is always a text or phone call away! Office Staff: aside from Dr. Epstein, his entire office staff is professional, pleasant, friendly, accommodating, and they really seem to love working there! His nurses were so great in the OR when prepping me for surgery, making me laugh, and taking my mind off the nerves. There was a nurse right by me when I woke up from anesthesia making sure I was okay as well. The office even sent a bouquet of gorgeous flowers to my home when I was recovering! What a nice touch!! The Procedure and recovery: so Dr Epstein had decided it was best for me to go under general anesthesia, as opposed to local, which he does on some body-tite cases. I dislike the effects of anesthesia after surgery (groggy feeling, 'digesting' the chemicals, all of that), but for me it was worth it. When I woke up after surgery, I was sore and I felt tender on my legs and buttocks, but still had pain meds running in me so it wasn't bad. The first night was a little rough - I was oozing everywhere!!! Fluids and some blood oozed out of a few incisions, which I was warned about. Night 1 sleeping was rough - I opted to sleep on the couch to contain my movements. Day 2 some more oozing, not awful and just laid around, still taking pain meds. The pain wasn't so terrible, but it felt like cramping and tender to the touch. I felt better and better with each day that passed and by day 5 - 6 i was doing great, went shopping, felt fine.. I was swollen still and there was no result so early in recovery, but I felt good. I bought these very tight spanx - 2 kinds, one kind that went down the whole leg and those felt really great to wear. I also had a couple of lymphatic massages, highly recommend!!!!!! They move the lymph and speed up healing. From there, it only got better and better! The Results: I started off with saddlebags on my thighs and looser skin on my inner and outer thighs and no matter how diligent I was at the gym, wouldn't go away ... And I was a diligent gym goer!! The areas just were resistant to exercise and diet I suppose. My thighs just to me, did not match the rest of me! And I was always very self-conscious to wear things that were too tight on the hips and thighs, like dresses, cuz it just looked a bit lumpy. I started to see small results probably in October. The saddlebags were clearly gone, but the skin was not experiencing the shrink-wrapped look yet. Dr Epstein told me it would take 9 months to a year before the results show, so I was happy with any result 2 months post-op. Now fast forward 8 months post-op and I cannot even imagine the result getting better (but it will). My thighs are SMOOTH on the outside and the inside - I put a bikini on with more confidence and wear pants and dresses now that I used to never feel right in. I love how my legs look and the procedure was one thousand percent worth it. WORD OF ADVICE: before coolsculpting or spending money on any other non-invasive procedure, look into Body-Tite and look into Dr. Epstein if you aren't sure if you need lipo, or coolsculpt, or a combination of lipo with body-tite! He will guide you and steer you in the right direction and he will be open and honest about what he anticipates for results and how he anticipates you will heal. I first met Dr. Epstein 13 years ago when he performed my original breast augmentation. Time has passed and I've since had and nursed 2 children. I returned to Dr. Epstein in April to discuss a second breast augmentation as well as a lift. We spoke in length of the procedure and the best choice of implants. From start to finish, the whole process was seamless. The front desk staff greet you with kindness, the nurses are knowledgable and caring and the anesthesiologist will put your mind at ease. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Dr. Epstein and his staff. This was my first surgery and I could not be more pleased with the results and the whole process. If you are looking for a surgeon who is professional, honest, caring for patient well-being, respectful and talented, Dr. Epstein is your men! During my first visit there was no pressure for any procedure, just simple ask and answer. There were no empty promises or misleading expectations. Preparation for the surgery was more professional then at the hospital for a surgery. Aftercare was amazing as well. Dr. Epstein called himself to check on me and then everyday for a week his nurses were calling checking on my recovery. I even received flowers from Dr. Epstein office with a beautiful card wishing me well. The most amazing thing was my recovery. If anyone would tell me that I will have 24 hr recovery after having multiple body parts done i would not believe it! I had FaceTite/MyEllevate and Liposuctin/BodyTite done. The procedure was outpatient so I was home same day and of course I took easy and took pain killers. Following day I wake up feeling refreshed and well. Did not require strong pain killers, Tylenol (which I was taking for 3 days before going to sleep to assure comfortable sleep due to wearing special garments after the surgery) was sufficient and I was able to return to regular routine around the house, cooking, cleaning, driving my car. 4 days later I was back at work, working full time and spending almost 3 hours on the train commute and 5 days later I was hosting family dinner! My husband and I were so pleased with my recovery. Another unexpected surprise were visible results. In the past I had liposuction performed by another surgeon. I was prepared for excessive swelling, bruising, pain, etc. but not this time. Dr. Epstein methods minimized all of those unpleasant experiences. I can't say enough about the amazing experience I had with Dr. Epstein and everyone in his office. My whole experience from start to finish with Dr. Epstein and staff was outstanding. I really could not be happier with my results. A little background on what procedure I had done. I got a breast augmentation done with Breast Enhancement with Silicone - Allergan 410 "Gummy Bear" Implants. The size I got were 255cc in each breast. The 24 hour recovery method Dr. Epstein does is absolutely amazing. Starting from my consultation, Dr. Epstein had great bedside manner and most importantly listen to what I wanted and answered any questions or concerns I had. He showed me 3D images of different implants I was interested in and different sizes. Dr. Epstein spoke truthfully and would measure the size of my original breast and tissue and tell me the maximum size he would do because it would be more beneficial for me. There would be less complications in regards of going "to big" he made sure the right size implant would be perfect for my body and size. On surgery day I came out of the OR and was able to lift my arms above my head! I got driven home and took ibuprofen for pain and took a nap. When I woke up I was feel just some soreness but was able to go for a walk and meet up with friends that same night! Each day gets better and better. I only took ibuprofen for pain for the first 3 days. I'm a registered nurse and I returned to work 5 days after surgery and was more than ready to be working. The results are still shocking and I would recommend him to everyone. After months of researching doctors for my breast augmentation I decided to make a consultation appointment with Dr. Mark Epstein. Every review I read boasted about his professionalism, his kind demeanor and how pleased they were with his services. From the minute I walked into his office the friendliest receptionists greeted me. Immediately my jumpy nerves where calmed when I was brought in for my consultation and met with Dr. Epstein. He took the time to get to know me, where I was from, what I did in my daily life and my excitement over my future marriage. I never felt rushed. Even when I presented him with a list of questions he spent a great deal of time going through each one, making sure I fully understood every aspect of the surgery. When I left that first day I was so glad that I had chosen to meet with Dr. Epstein. I called and booked my procedure for December 21st. When I met again with Dr. Epstein he went over, in detail, exactly what to expect the day of surgery. His 3-D imagery technology offered me a realistic idea of what I would look like post surgery and even printed out the pictured of the images. When we discussed the implants to use, Dr. Epstein thoroughly explained each type, profile and size. He really listened to my desire to look and feel natural advising me on what size would look best on my body without pressuring me to go too big. Leaving the office that day I couldn't wait for December to have my surgery. As my surgery date neared, I was excited and nervous. In the days before surgery Dr. Epstein's office called each day to remind me of what I needed to do to prepare and to see if I had any questions. The day of surgery, I arrived to Dr. Epstein's office at 1:00. Dr. Epstein saw that I was nervous and had my husband sit with me while I was being prepped for surgery. When I was taken in the nurse and doctor kept talking to me, assuring me that I would feel great when I awoke in an hour. I was nervous that I would be in pain during the Christmas weekend but Dr. Epstein reassured me that his 24 hour rapid recovery would have me up and going right after surgery. When I awoke I couldn't believe how little pain I was in. Dr. Epstein came in and told me everything went wonderfully. He had me lift my arms over my head numerous times, which I was amazed that I could do with such ease. As well, I was so happy that he used glue instead of stitches to close off the site of the cut. Within an hour of waking after surgery I put on a sweatshirt and went home. I didn't have to wear any bandages; the only support I would eventually need to use was a zip-up sports bra. The drive home was approximately an hour in which I slept the entire time. Once I got home and woke up I was hungry and even went out to grab a bite to eat. The pain was very minimal, only a little sore with a feeling of pressure on my chest. That night Dr. Epstein called me at home to see how I was feeling. The next day I woke up and felt so much better than I expected. I was sore but mainly it was a feeling of pressure on my chest. After getting up I took a shower and went to the mall to finish my Christmas shopping. I had no difficulties carrying lightweight packages and even felt enough energy to go grocery shopping afterwards. When I got home I was greeted with a beautiful assortment of flowers from Dr. Epstein and his staff. I found it amazing how much love, care and support I felt from every staff member. From beginning to end my experience was such a success. I never needed to take pain mediations and was even able to cook and host Christmas dinner for 15 people two days after the surgery. At 52 I felt it was time to make a change! I am working out every single day and yet I found that I could not beat the worst enemy of beauty: gravity. While the rest of my body is toned and fit, there wasn't an exercise I could do to restore the firmness of my breasts so I decide to research into breast augmentation. I met with a couple of surgeons but I left their offices unsatisfied and discouraged. Their answers to my questions were vague so I didn't feel very safe. I decided to do more research online and I came across Dr. Epstein's website. I was impressed with all the information readily available to me and the promise of a quick recovery caught my attention. Although skeptical about promises of virtually no recovery period at all, I scheduled a consultation. I met with Dr. Epstein and his very capable staff and I immediately felt at ease.
