I had such an amazing experience with Dr. Epstein and everyone in his office. Let me begin by saying this was my second augmentation. I had my first procedure done by another surgeon- June 2015. July 2018 my right implant ruptured. I went back to my original surgeon and had scheduled the surgery date to have the implant replaced. I cancelled my appointment after having a horrible experience with someone in his office and I was then recommended to see Dr. Epstein by my sister-in-law. After the first conversation I had with Dr. Epstein's staff, I knew they truly cared for their patients. I had the consult and surgery date both scheduled within a week and a half of that first phone call. I wish I had found Dr. Epstein prior to my first surgery. Dr. Epstein has amazing bedside manner and is very personable. He spent his time answering all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. The day of surgery: Because of Dr. Epstein's calm demeanor and warming personality, I wasn't nervous at all! He reviewed everything with me and introduced me to all of his surgery staff. Dr. Epstein even took the time out of his day to call me and ask how I was feeling the night of surgery. The office even sent flowers!!! His 24-hour recovery was almost unbelievable to me because of my experience after the first augmentation. IT'S A REAL THING! I was able to put my arms above my head, shower myself and go out to dinner the day of surgery! We were amazed at how much I could do alone. I probably could have went into work the following day too. I am now three weeks post op and my breast feel AMAZING. I had my saline implants removed and replaced with Motiva Ergonomix. I do NOT recommend saline implants due to how unnatural they feel. I could feel/ see the rippling on the side and underneath of my breasts, which made me feel very self-conscious. I even began to regret my augmentation because of this. Now, no rippling WHAT-SO-EVER. I love my results and can't thank Dr. Epstein enough. In my early 30's, i have 2 young children, I can't afford to be layed up in bed after a surgery. Not to mention, like most of you reading this, I was very nervous. Scared that the procedure would go absolutely horrible and I would end up with botched breasts. It was the complete opposite and my only con is why did I wait so long to do it! I cannot say enough about my amazing experience with breast augmentation with Dr. Mark Epstein! The entire staff could not be kinder, more considerate, or helpful throughout my whole process. Starting with my consult, Dr. Epstein listened to my concerns with my current textured implants which I had from 5 years prior. I felt it was in my best interest to switch them to smooth texture. Dr. Epstein was extremely supportive throughout this entire process. My procedure was very much a "non-event." The 24 hour recovery time was exactly what was promised and then some. I barely needed the ibuprofen that I had handy. I was able to go for a long walk that very same afternoon and went out to dinner with my husband. I returned to work the next day wearing a sports bra and carried on with daily activities. I went back to the gym a week later and was able to lift weights again about 3 weeks later. The anesthesiologist was one of the kindest and calming individuals that I have ever met. She took the time to talk to me prior to the surgery and was soothing and spoke to me the entire time as I was falling asleep. This helped alleviate a lot of the anxiety I had about going under. The nurse that attended to me in recovery was wonderful and knowledgeable. It was nice waking up to such a kind person taking care of you. Since my surgery, my confidence and self-esteem has increased drastically. I cannot wait for the warm weather and for bathing suit season. Just the way I walk around from day to day feeling positive, especially during this crazy time with the pandemic, is worth every penny of my procedure. On 10/24 I had an abdominoplasty complicated by a hernia protruding through my belly button. I am less than month post-op and I look and feel better than I did 20 years ago! Dr Epstein is magnificent! I had interviewed 4 other plastic surgeons prior to Dr. Epstein and I was not comfortable in their methods or their professionalism. Two were "commercialized" which made me feel as if I was just a number to them instead of a patient. One had suggested that I should have my thighs done at the same time! After reading the website and my initial appointment with Dr. Epstein I knew at that he was going to do my surgery. His professionalism, knowledge, expertise and innovative methods made me feel extremely comfortable. He explained the entire procedure to me, answered all my questions, showed me before and afters and did not rush me out to get to his next appointment. He explained to me that I will not be wrapped like a mummy, there will be not be any drains, my incision will be glued and covered by special 1/2" tape and I will not have to wear compression garments afterward. Dr. Epstein also attaches a pain pump to administer medication from a fanny pack to numb your entire belly area for the first 3 days. He explained that pain pills constipate you and the less you take the better. After my surgery, I took nothing stronger than Extra Strength Tylenol. Three days after the surgery, I walked into Dr. Epstein's office to get my pain pump removed without any discomfort other than being able to straighten up. After having two c-sections, developing endometriosis along my c-section scar and having loose skin, I decided to have a tummy tuck. I had to have the endometriosis removed as it was extremely pain full and caused me pain 24/7 days a week. December 4, 2011 I recently had a four lid blepharoplasty done by Dr. Epstein. Getting my eyes done was an important decision to me. I was getting married and needed to look my best. Who would I trust my "new eyes" to? Being a registered nurse for 20-plus years, with O.R. experience, I knew all the risks and benefits and all that it entailed. The decision was a very easy one for me. I have had the opportunity of being on both sides of the operating table with this doctor. I have had the "up close and personal" experience of watching him perform his surgeries. He is a perfectionist who NEVER settles for "good enough". He will pay attention to the slightest details that no one else would even notice. His goal is "patient satisfaction". My entire experience, from the initial consultation to post-op, was actually an enjoyable one. The whole staff, especially Dr. Epstein, are friendly, patient, and kind. Dr. Epstein's technique causes no bruising, so there is hardly any pain. I had my arms over my head while I was still in the recovery room. After I returned home and took a 2 hour mandatory nap, I was good to go. I needed no pain medication, just some advil. I had silicone implants put in over 20 years ago and one of them had ruptured, so this was not your ordinary augmentation. My whole right side had to be reconstructed, and still no pain afterward! I have wanted breast augmentation since I was in my 20's, but was so afraid of the pain and recovery. I had the 24 hour recovery surgery by Dr.Epstein and was amazed that I was able to lift my arms above my head in the recovery room. I am a hairstylist , had surgery Wednesday and was at back to work on Friday. No pain killers just some Ibuprofen. My breasts were asymmetrical and Dr. Epstein meticulously corrected it by using two different size implants. They are beautifully even now! Dr. Epstein is a true artist. I knew i was going to pick him for my BA from day one. The consultation was so informative. He took so much time explaining everything from each type of implant to the actual surgery and the after care.
