I was told by my attending doctor that I would have to be in distress for 10 days before she could prescribe antibiotics? they gladly took my $250.00 in cash and only offered OTC treatments? dumbfounded, I most certainly was. needless to say I do not recommend this location at this time, the doctor or the Valley hospital system appears to have messed up at this location. I don't normally like to be a person leaving bad reviews but if you treat me bad enough , I will . The head nurse, the charge nurse AMBER. She is extremely rude and inconsiderate . No way should she work with the public, the sick public at that !! I walked in around 3 in the middle of the night. She looked at me as If I had the wrong place and wrong time when I arrived . I was shaking from pain she didn't speak or ask what was wrong and spoke at a low level at which I could not hear her . I had to ask her repeatedly to repeat herself. She was intentionally rude with her body language an questions. I asked her was she okay ? She replied I'm fine, why ? I told her she seemed upset and was a bit rude with me she stopped and just looked at me. I requested another nurse, FAST. Nurse Ambers actions and the way she represented herself and care were not okay !!!! You were wrong on so many levels for speaking to me and treating me how you did . She treated me as if I was mistaken and wrong. You need to be checked Amber because you don't deserve the right or have the right to work with sick people who need care and understanding and which you did not have or give. I will pray for you and hope you find peace because it's written all over you that you rather harm than heal. She did not and does not want to help or be there , I think you should look into another career. Don't ever be so rude !!!! It's uncalled for and very unnecessary . I've been coming here for the last 5 years for a chronic illness gastroparesis and they always take really great, great, great care of me but this last time Amy a was absolutely exceptional. After pulling into a nearly empty parking lot, I felt hopeful that my severe pain in the lower left quadrant could be evaluated quickly and I could go home and lay back down. Somehow, 3 different sets of people were in the tiny waiting room. No one at the front desk. I was unable to stand much longer (no one there to even get a wheelchair) so my husband rang the bell (yeah, classy touch) and a man in mismatched PPE, none of which made sense in a medically useful sense, asked who is checking in to me and my husband, took my ID, and put it on the desk behind the glass and walked away. Weird, usually they attempt to triage...not like it's an EMERGENCY ROOM or anything. Within minutes, still no one at the front desk...and the man who took my ID and just sat it down behind bullet resistant glass....was pushing the trash cart and cleaning a bathroom. There was no staff. I had a fever, gut pain, and losing consciousness. And a janitor was the only person to acknowledge I was at an EMERGENCY ROOM. My husband saw that a contract security officer arriving at the top of the hour, couldn't get in the door to the rooms. The officer looked concerned and dialed a couple different numbers, obviously no answer each time. So, we asked him if we could just wedge an arm between the bullet glass and grab my ID so we can actually get medical care. He shrugged, said sure, and just kept the phone to his ear. Lucky for everyone involved, my condition didn't deteriorate more in that location. read more

I think the sign is broken. Every time we come here the sign says 8 minute wait. I think 8 minutes in medical terms mean an hour. So 16 minutes sign time would be 2 hours. Without fail, you'll be waiting more than the sign time, hence it must be broken. The person usually working the desk has no idea how long the wait will really be. Went here at 2:30 in the morning for a medical issue I was having. I was the only patient so I got taken back immediately. They proceeded to treat my symptoms and then start blood work to figure out the cause. The nurses were attentive and kind. The doctor was VERY thorough and compassionate. The doctor decided I needed to be admitted to the hospital so they continued treating my symptoms until they had a room for me at Centennial Hospital, which they transported me to via ambulance. Overall I had a great experience here and would trust them in the future with my emergency healthcare needs. read more

Worst experience ever. I went in for a G.I. bleed. They ordered multiple bloodwork that I did not approve or wasn't informed the extent of the bloodwork. I was surprised to see an $11,570 bill. I was literally given one bag of fluids and lab work. In the end, they told me it was an upper G.I. bleed, but they can't test for that there. So why would I get charged if they knew bright red blood was not from my stomach? They sure let me know after treating me if you can call it that that I'll have to go someplace else to get my throat scoped because they don't offer that service. Service so bad that at one point they asked if I needed a blanket. Well they never brought it! I called the customer service and they were absolutely NO help. I wanted to know what all the "codes" meant. I went in with my daughter who was having UTI symptoms. It was New Year's Day. They did a UTI test and sent us on our way. We just got a bill for over $5,500 they said she got level 4 care. They did Nothing but a UTI test. This is insurance fraud. Save yourself a lot of stress and stay far away. I am so sad that they are in our community hurting people financially fraudulently. I went to ER at Valley Vista in early 2023. Received decent care. My one-star review is about their billing department. At the time of service, I provided my primary & secondary insurance info. I made sure this facility was In-Network. A year and a half later, I got a bill for over $5500. Repeated calls to their billing dept were a WASTE OF TIME. I spent over 3 weeks and countless hours on the phone between Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Medicare and BlueShield trying to understand why they were charging me such an outrageous amount, when Medicare & BlueShield stated I owed nothing other than my copays (which I paid) and provided me documentation stating the same. Avoid any Centennial ER facility because they will send you a "surprise bill" several months later. They will NOT explain the codes or anything else for that matter regarding the billing statement, which makes absolutely no sense to me. Getting this ridiculous bill out of the blue has caused me such anxiety that I may need to seek ER services at another hospital. Stay clear of any Centennial facility because they are out to rob you blind! read more

Don't go here! You will end up with a large bill for minimal care. They did a urine test, IV, bloodwork and a CT scan. They billed $30,000! I also got a separate bill for $1266. My insurance did cover a lot of the cost but I shouldn't have to even pay that as it was based off those high costs. $20k for a CT scan, $3500 for blood and urine, $1300 for motrin through IV, $5500 for just showing up to the ER, $1200 for the doc to say hi and put a pulse thing on my finger. They had me pee in a cup and did blood work and then left me in the room for almost 3hrs and only checked on me one time. I had to get up out of bed with so much pain I could barely walk just to ask for a pillow and blanket as they left me in the room with nothing. ZERO STARS! read more

I absolutely love Centennial Hills Hospital. I delivered my 3 children there and they now have a free standing ER at Valley Vista which is just as awesome and fast. We were in and out in under an hour The staff is always so caring and really take the time to listen. I took my 2 youngest children there and one had an ear infection. Dr. Libke was fantastic! Went in for pain, I won't get into details about what kind of pain but I had been holding off because my husband was working out of town and I couldn't go to the ER with my 2 children. Finally on Saturday early morning I experienced the same pain, just as intense but this time I happened to be on the north side of town at Costco and decided it's time to go since my husband was back. I needed him to accompany me to take care of my baby since I am exclusively breastfeeding. ER tech Trish I think was her name took me in and I was evaluated by RN Amber R. Both were amazing! RN Amber took her time to listen to all my symptoms and take notes of everything that had been nothing me. After all testing I was there for a few hours being monitored, which made me feel much better. They tried to put me in a room as soon as possible since I would have to breastfeed baby soon. I've never met an ER doctor like Dr. Foord, he was so patient and also made sure to listen to everything I had to say. Thank you all so much, they even brought a snack to my oldest who was also stuck with us at the ER! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Paid my deductible with cash , they gave me a "discount" because of that and gave them $400 dollars cash. I then get hit with a bill in the mail for $917 for expenses there. When I call for my receipt invoice states I only paid $100. I lost my receipt. There fore I can not prove I paid.. Why would I only pay $100 when the deductible is $500???? We recently moved to the area and found ourselves needing to take our toddler to the ER for after hours care. The staff and nurses were all so sweet to him. we have been there twice - first was for potential broken bone with laceration that needed stitches - care was decent. the second time potential head trauma, stroke, neurological and it was awful - they then pass you to centennial hills ER - they do not have an MRI machine so not a fully equipped ER. Doctor was wishy washy until called out then he made a decision - waited over six hours for transfer. they said it was important to be evaluated and monitored - oh but they never hooked her up to any machine to monitor - hmmm. really over priced over rated and should be a quick care - probably would have got better service and results read more

I don't usually take the time to do reviews but this time I am. I recently went to this ER with my mother. It took about 9 hours to tell us that they can't figure out what's wrong, that's there's no life threatening thing in her blood work or scans. Two days later my mom is still in horrible pain and went to Centennial ER WHERE THEY FOUND severe kidney infection , hyperglycemia, and high blood pressure among other things. Dr.Meyers and and most of his staff didn't seem to care & looked bothered to be working at ER at Valley Vista. WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS ER! The lady at the front desk is extremely rude she claimed the ER was full but once we said we were leaving, she wanted to stay we'd be seen in 5-10 minutes. I will say that the ER itself was a nice facility. We brought our son in to get antibiotics for folliculitis. We already new the diagnosis. The service from the doctor was nice. The nurse is the issue that I have. First off the doctor would leave to answer the phone since no nurses would. Second the nurse We had came in gathered information and told us that we would owe 15.00 dollars for the visit today and be billed the doctors portion for being independent. I handed my card to the nurse to pay the 15.00. She returned with the card and a tablet that she had me sign. And sent us on our way. A couple days later looking at my bank account noticed that 1070.40 was taken out of my bank. It said for veterinarian. So I disputed with my bank. First I never paid anyone that money and I had not gone to the vet. The dispute was closed so when I talked to bank they told me it was taken out by this ER. I told them I had never agreed to pay anyone that money. They said my signature was on it. What a scam. What nurse lies saying your payment is 15.00 and takes out over a grand. That puts someone in bad position in life with bills. The signature was not given with any receipt that stated that much money. I had to take my mom to the ER for a wound that would not heal. Dr. Foord, Marybeth, Amber, and Trish all were involved in getting her into an exam room, helped her get comfortable, and were all exceptional in her overall care during the less than 60-minute visit. I was not aware of how to get her help and they referred us to a wound care office at Centennial Hills Medical Center where she has received exceptional care. from start to finish, the Satalite ER visit was nothing but exceptional. I took my mom who was having a severe allergic reaction and they gave her epinephrine, which they swore was going to work almost instantly but instead it got worse. A day went by and I called the hospital and they told me she should come back. Upon arrival no one was at the front desk and I had to call in order for someone to help (in an emergency hospital?) This visit they basically told my mom who has extreme rashes everywhere and immensely swollen body parts that she should figure out what is giving her the reaction. The bill was outrageous for them to have not even helped with the issue. As we were checking out of the hospital the assistant told my mom "you should go to a dermatologist that's what they are for" and was super rude. Overall this has to be one of the most absurd and disgusting visits not once but two times in a row. read more
