I have been in ICU and they have saved my life. The nurses are absolutely amazing angels. I will never use any other hospital

This is my sixth surgery here at Mountain View. This has been a wonderful place for all my surgeries. I wrapped her early already checked in just sitting and waiting for them to call me in. I personally can't say enough about being service here at this hospital! All my doctors have been wonderful and amazing

I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the staff at Mountain View Hospital!! From the man volunteering at the welcome desk, to the woman volunteering at the surgery check in on the second floor, customer service was exceptional! Thank you to nurse Steve J. Who assisted my mom in pre op., thank you for answering all of her questions, easing her concerns and walking us through the process! You're appreciated! *To the floor manager Janane, thank you for checking in on us and making sure we were receiving quality care. *To T. Barrett (hope I spelled it right) one of my mom's anesthesiologist for the day, your warm smile and clarification on the ETT and why it was needed definitely scared her but she understood thank you! *To Dr. Strebel for her outstanding care, professionalism and taking it a step further after surgery and finding me in the lobby to explain all went well and showing pictures of the concern areas. I've never came across a better group of individuals who were passionate about the care provided today. Everybody we came across wore a smile, checked in , offered reassurance, and had no problem answering the many of questions my worried mother had. I really can't say thank you enough! May all of you continue to blessed.

DO NOT TRUST MOUNTAIN HOSPITAL IF YOU ARE PREGNANT! I came here for my delivery due to preeclampsia and needing an emergency c section. These people FORCE FED ME TYLENOL THROUGH MY ENTIRE 2 weeks there while pregnant as they claimed to try to keep him in a bit longer. They wouldn't give me a choice and claimed it's for the better and so much manipulative non sense. I had my son in 2020, and I know we've all watched the news. Tylenol and the FDA have been warning AGAINST the use of Tylenol during pregnancy since 2015!!!! Yet Mountain View in 2020 told me and guilted me into taking it!!! My son has severe adhd and is on the spectrum!!! I blame criminal doctors and nurses and staff like those at Mountain View! These doctors didn't care, like I've said it's been out since 2015 this is caused by taking Tylenol during pregnancy! So why TF would Mountain View FORCE IT ON MOTHERS!? Everyone at Mountain View hospital should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR LICENSES RIPPED AWAY. You will be hearing from my lawyers and MANY others. Criminals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You people are EVIL!! Pregnant women are told trust our doctors "they care", no they DO NOT CARE and this is proof. I hope you all rot in hell it's where you belong.

Ask the Community - MountainView Hospital

How was the Labor and delivery experiences and what do they offer for free with postpartum?

I have no idea. I Wasn't in the labor delivery area, just regular surgery! Everything is great at this hospital❤️

Are we allowed to record births?

Depends you have to ask the nurses and doctor and they will make you fill out a video consent and all that jazz when you arrive in L&D

Do they provide the "walking epidural" here?

We just moved here from Cali. And we don't have family here. I am expecting twins and I would like for my BF to be in the delivery room with me. But we have a 4 yr old son. Would they allow for them to stay with me while I go into labor?

No . I'm currently here at 11 pm . A husband was told to stay in the waiting room downstairs with their son . The expecting mother had to go by herself . Her son isn't allowed upstairs past 10pm in the hospital .

Does your newborn get to stay in the room with you at all times?

Yes, they let them stay with you the whole time.

Would like to hear experiences for the inpatient rehab facilities. How was your experience?

    Yes!

Haylee stood out by how much she cares for her patients in making sure I was fed which is a big deal because I hadn't had a meal in over 24 hours. Though a nurse in training, Southern Hills would be unwise to not hire Haylee as a nurse when the opportunity arises. Yessica, just wow. The nurse that everyone would want. She acted like a patient advocate and helped in make sure surgery heard my concerns. While helping me she seemed genuinely concerned. They went above and beyond to take care of while we were there at the hospital. Dr Gibbs explain everything to her fullest, the nurse Kay & Jessica went above and beyond in making sure that we were comfortable, Carl and Adriana and another filipina cna also went above and beyond not only did they care they made a smile they gave us conversation they made us feel comfortable, even the staff janitorial people that came in also went above and beyond. It didn't feel like you were at a hospital it felt like you were in a hotel the five star. Not only did they take care of the patient they took care of the parent. They have sandwiches for people who stay overnight all you have to do is ask if you're hungry they'll give you drinks and soda pillows and blankets all you have to do is ask they actually care about you if you don't ask you won't know what they'll help you with. Some people don't like hospital food but it's actually great that they make personalized food for people with food issues. Also if you pay in advance it's only $5 for someone who stays the night with the family member there or friend. Every meal is $5 if you pay an advance in the cafeteria you'll be able to order your food with the love one that you're with at the hospital at the same time. A lot of the doctors and nurses did not know that and CNA but they do now on level 5 and level 6. There was other doctors and nurses and CNAs they came to visit even though they did not know us and they went above and beyond and they were very kind and polite. It was a bittersweet sorrow that we ended up checking out we said goodbye to everybody gave everybody hugs and we now keep in touch with them they are very good and wonderful people and the next generation of nurses with the confession that they have at summerlin I'm proud to say that the amount of nurses that we met in CNAs are wonderful. They have the tools of being compassionate caring concerned all at the same time. Also treat people the way you want to be treated and some people will go above and beyond for you especially in healthcare. And if you experience someone that is not helpful you can always have a second opinion in the hospital. Just because you're in the hospital doesn't mean you have to be afraid to speak up just don't talk down there's a difference. I would recommend all families with gastro issues and with children to come to this hospital. This is the only hospital we ever go to and we have never been treated badly and over the years it's been excellent even more than I ever expected. It was wonderful when they first opened their doors and it's still wonderful now they do get overworked but just work with them and they'll work with you. And when they're doing a good job it doesn't hurt to say thank you for helping me you did a really good job because it actually gives them more motivation to do the best that they can always. Regardless if it's their job. But if they're not there's always the charge nurse which we did meet and she was wonderful too we even told her we love your staff you guys have a dynamic that I've never seen before. Thank you summerlin hospital staff and ER you guys did a wonderful job and hopefully we won't have to come back but if we do will come to summerlin! But don't take my word for it if you need a hospital to go to try them and review it yourself you won't be disappointed or you might I don't know .

I heard them complain about other patients about pain meds. I came in for a different reason, and for the duration I have been here, I've listened and accepted what they've given me (which have had produced negative outcomes). When they've forgotten something, they then tried to tie me in to the blame since I also didn't remember it. Excuse me? I'm literally a patient. If someone checks in because they can no longer self manage their health, and it then becomes that person's responsibility to reach out for help, how are people like myself supposed trust I'm in good hands and for what reason am I asking for help, just to get backhanded with a finger pointing game? I can't get treated here anymore. They're being paid so much they can't relate to their patients, anyone outside of it. Very elitist behavior. It's dysfunctional. They're so detached. They don't have the right to pretend they made no mistakes. It's permeated the Healthcare field, the stoicism and bias seen here. I'm absolutely disappointed, can't even expect the basic levels of cooperation. For further context, I almost passed out. I experienced this feeling before, and wanted to address it. So I came in, and they look at everything else unrelated. The nurses don't seem to care about actually addressing the issues. Some of the equipment is outdated and broken, the lowest quality. There's no diversity in how patients like me would be perceived because of the culture here. I'm in the position of having to try and prove why I need to be treated. That's messed up.

I've seen them sprawled out with blankets, shopping carts, and all their belongings blocking walkways and entrances. It's not occasional -- it's constant. I reported it multiple times to staff and even called public safety, and guess what? **They do absolutely nothing.** Zero enforcement, zero concern. It's like the center has a policy of "come one, come all" for anyone who wants to treat the property like their personal campground. I pay good money expecting a clean, safe environment to focus on my wellness, not to step over people sleeping on the stairs or worry about my safety while trying to enter or exit the building. The whole vibe is sketchy and uncomfortable. I no longer feel safe here, and I definitely won't be returning. We got there around 12:25, there was about two people in front of us but the nurse took me back like around 12:45. There was one senior nurse and then there was one who was in training both of them were super nice super sweet and just made a very uncomfortable situation extremely comfortable. From there I was taken to a private room now this room is not available for everyone there are rooms with just curtains but because of my specific condition I did get a more closed off room. From there I had a male nurse coming in he was also extremely nice and really funny which once again made an uncomfortable situation extremely comfortable. I'm glad I went to the ER because I also found out I had a bladder infection which I was not aware of. the only reason I'm not giving this a five star review is because of the doctor itself. I was disappointed that they did not have a female doctor just because my condition was in my genial area he did however bring in a female nurse, I think that her purpose was just to supervise because she just stood in the side and didn't put any input. The gender however was the least of my concerns that was just a preference that I would've liked. When the doctor came in he gave me the option of either cutting open the cyst or taking antibiotics. However he wasn't able to provide me with the benefits or disadvantages of either option he just said it's up to you which is really frustrating because I'm not the one with the doctor degree. I decided to go for the antibiotics because I did not feel comfortable him cutting me. After I made my decision the started to say that I would have a faster relief if he lets me cut it. And that if I wanna do antibiotics I have to follow up with an OBYN and all OBYN are booked. This is not his fault but I'm extremely disappointed with the fact that they don't have any OBYN on call. I feel like that's just such a lack of care for women. Especially considering how common the cyst are. Nevertheless he just made me feel like I couldn't find an OBYN with the side comments that he was making, and I was really disappointed that I am also his answers were it's up to you, knowing that I lack the medical knowledge and that's why I'm seeking it within him. I asked him if he had anybody that he would recommend me to his answer was there's nobody on call. I did find an OBYN that captured my attention on yelp and I mention that one he said that she's too popular that it would take forever for me to get an appointment. The conversation just feel very counterproductive. I was not impressed with the service from the doctor specifically. After he had examined me he went to write his report and I had a nurse come back to give me my antibiotics and prescriptions. I did have questions and concerns about how I should take my medication. What foods I should avoid and what foods I should encourage eating. What activities I can indoors and what activities I couldn't. The nurse said the best he could to answer those questions he unfortunately did provide some misinformation in some of them when I followed up with my primary. I just feel like the nurse is here should get more recognized and applied for the doctor because if it wasn't for them the quality of care and quality of service would have not been the same

She remembers too, it's nice to have that closeness with your doctor. I hope, we can continue seeing her for many years to come! Thank you!

The entire visit with the doctor lasted less than five minutes. I was then sent for blood work. Even though I had fasted beforehand just in case, I was told the specific test had to be completed before a certain time, so I had to schedule another appointment. When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. If they put even half as much effort into helping their patients as they do collecting money, this situation could have been resolved long ago. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, professionalism, or patient care.
