My journey started 4.8.26. I came in for an "explore fusion L4 - S1, Removal of hardware with TLIF L2 - S1 surgery, performed by Dr. Jason Garber and Dr. Steven Kiss. BOTH DOCTORS ARE HEAVEN SENT!!! When I walked into the hospital that morning, on a walker and did NOT stand up straight!!! Not to mention had a few falls. When I woke up from surgery, I immediately noticed no leg or back pain!!! SURGERY WAS A SUCCESS! After surgery, my recovery began in 4 NORTH. WHAT A WONDERFUL DEPARTMENT! I was there for 4 days before being transferred to MountainView's Rehab. I was so excited, I can't wait to get up and move around. Uh oh - here comes these headaches. So on 4.22.26 Dr. Garber & Dr. Kiss performed "a durotomy repair." Again, another successful surgery! Back to 4 North I go through the motions, onto the road to recovery. A few days pass and I'm headed back to rehab, for a 2nd time on 4.28.26. All seems to be well but it isn't On 5.4.26 "a repair of dehiscene" was done. Back to the best department at MountainView Hospital!!! Now I like to thank a few from this department ... The nurses - Jenny, Brianna, Carlo, Susie, Jessica, Taylor, Hannah, Erick, Zaldy, Kimberly & Korin thank you so much for taking GREAT care during my stay. Thank you for those shoulders, the ears and the patience with me!! This was the hardest thing I've ever dealt with in my life. And I can't forget about my loves, my PCTs - Dulce, Mae, Patty, Kim, Vernita, Zeinab, Malaysia, Soon, Loida, Dwayne and Timena - that extra care you all provide like your ears, wiping my tears away (and those warm red packaged wipes those felt so good!) Friday April 17th 2025 Went to emergency about 830a, no wait,was directed straight to the back.everyone very tentative and informative.. I ended up needing to get a blood transfusion,,they kept me, the best experience I could have had, everyone that assisted me on the 3rd floor,thank you,I was scared, they checked on me every 30mins to an hour. My husband's last stay at Mountain View hospital was so bad in every way that it was beyond belief. It started the night he arrived. His CNA threw a vomit bag at him. She was supposedly disciplined. He had an infection in his dialysis port. They removed it and made him wait 4 days to put in a temporary port. He is supposed to have dialysis every other day. I asked the nurse why it was taking so long and she said "they were too busy '. They finally put in a permanent port after a week and a half yesterday. Then we were kicked out immediately after. I refused discharge for him as he takes Para transit to go to dialysis and they were on strike. He cannot ride in a regular vehicle as he requires a hoyer lift to get in and out of his wheelchair. I spoke to case management who refused to have him go to a skilled nursing facility as his days were up. She offered no help for his transportation issue. I asked to see a social worker. She came in and handed me some old outdated list of discount taxi services. I said he could not get into a regular vehicle. She said talk to case management and just walked out. I did receive help from his dialysis center who arranged a ride for him. He had dialysis before he left the hospital. The dialysis nurse was surprised he was being discharged so soon after his new port was put in and was not being observed for 24 hours. She advised me to get him back to the hospital if it started bleeding. He was lying in a pool of blood this morning. He is back in the hospital. My advice. Go somewhere better. read more

I'll start by saying nobody wants to be admitted to the hospital! But if you are going to be admitted I would say MountainView is a good choice. I was brought in from an offsite standalone ER. The EMTs that brought me took me straight to my room and helped me get settled. The nurse came in and made me comfortable and a little after midnight my husband was also allowed to bring me stuff from home. He got me settled and went home at that time. The nurse gave me meds and let me sleep until 5am when she had orders to get started on my treatment. They were unsure about what was happening so some testing was scheduled. Every nurse and doctor I came in contact with was so nice and caring! After 4 days I finally got sprung with some answers and follow up instructions. The staff is top notch and even some of the food, once I was allowed to eat wasn't too bad. I gave4 stars because of a couple things. I ended up with a roommate after 2 nights one person was there for just a few hours but she had a lot of visitors all at one time and they were really loud, I was happy when she was discharged but a few hours later I got a new roommate, she was nice but was pretty sick, like bad coughing etc. they verified she didn't have flu or Covid and put her in the same room as me, sharing a bathroom- it seemed odd that they put someone with an illness like that with someone who doesn't have anything contagious. And lastly the nurses ca be loud at night when the room doors are open and you're trying to sleep. Overall I wouldn't hesitate recommending Moutainview Hospital! read more

Neuro ICU is an absolute joke if you're truly a neuro patient trying to recover. I recently visited a family member staying there and the large male charge nurse was playing music SO LOUD from his phone at the nurses station that I wondered how much he truly knows about neuro restorative care. My family member was recovering from brain surgery so her assigned nurses made sure to keep the blinds closed, spoke softly and turned down the lights. My family member was treated by 4 wonderful nurses during her time in the ICU at Mountain View-- Cheryl, Nasim, Sabrina and Carmen. All of these ladies were extremely compassionate and caring for my family member's dire situation. On the other end of the spectrum is the larger male charge nurse from what I could see on his badge; he was identified as the charge nurse and on every shift that he was on when I visited my family member, he played music extremely loudly from his phone at the nurses' station and seemed to encourage a crowd of 20 something year old nurses to be singing loudly and dancing at the nurses station. I am all for having fun at your job but when your job requires a certain level of professionalism and care for the type of people you take care of, I find this behavior to be extremely inappropriate. There was even an older nurse manager there seemingly witnessing this and letting it all happen!! If it were not for the 3 nurses I mentioned above by name, I don't know that my family member would have made it out of Mountain View. Aside from the neuro ICU, my family member was downgraded to med surgery for a day and several nurses on this floor showed complete lack of knowledge for patient safety! A nurse was watching FIFA games on her phone while actively removing staples from my family member's brain surgery incision site with a nursing student!! I spoke to another patient's family at the elevator and heard a similar story about the same nurse watching FIFA games on her phone during direct patient care! and their experience was even worse than my family's because they said their family member with a brain bleed fell during their visit to this floor. Needless to say both myself and the other patient's family got patient advocates and were promised these situations were "not the standard" and "would be investigated." this place is insanely unprofessional and lack total consideration for their patients. Thank you to the 4 nurses in neuro ICU for not only keeping my family member alive and well but for making up for the extreme lack of consideration, professionalism and safety that we experienced with literally every other staff member at this hospital. read more

First time ER patient and hospital patient. Went to ER with chest tightness/pain that wasn't going away. Was taken right away my ER nurse Vanessa was great, she made comfortable and explained everything. Was admitted and every nurse I had was great. Carol and Karla were exceptional as were the ladies who did my cardiac stress test. My Doctors were great too. Thankfully everything was OK and was released. Thank you for the care. read more

I came to the emergency room week of June 15 because I had swelling in my testicles and my right testicle was the size of 3 golf balls which was very painful by the way. They sent me home with antibiotics and pain meds and 3 days later I was in more pain. Come to find out they sent Me home with the wrong meds to begin with. I returned back to the emergency room and they admitted me because I was in so much pain from the swelling. While I was in the hospital for the 1st 2 days they were giving me the wrong antibiotics again. They finally changed my antibiotics to apparently the right one. The neurologist came to see me every morning for 5 days to talk to me and see if my swelling was going down. Day number 6 she comes in tell me that I'm about to have surgery to take care of the swelling or they will remove my right testicle. I was extremely terrified. I get the surgery done for them to take care of the swelling. The very next day a physician walks in to check on my status and was not aware that I had gotten surgery and also no one checked my incision at ALL. Here we are almost 3 days later and I am still at the hospital and still have not seen the neurologist and the nurses have been trying to get in contact with her for 3 days and no response. No one came in here to tell me how my procedure went and what was done and how should I properly take care of it. The nurses are all on different pages and no one knows nothing and can't explain anything to me. They have been giving me pain meds but sometimes it doesn't help. Now I am getting ready to get discharged and my previous nurse from in the morning stated that she was going to send over my prescription to a local pharmacy and my nurse at the moment is saying that he doesn't see that and I have no pain medication. So now I have to wait for a doctor to respond at 1AM to get me some pain meds. I do not normally wright reviews but I feel like this has to told. THE REASON FOR THE REVIEW IS BECAUSE I FELT LIKE THEIR WAS NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL BETWEEN THE DOCTORS AND NURSES. For no one to know nothing about how to take care of my incision is very unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to come to this hospital. I have my mother in here at the moment. The nurse is lucky it was my niece who was in the room when she picked my mother up by here diaper. I might be in jail if I saw that. They came in and gave her stuff through her IV and explained nothing. She screamed and grabbed her crotch, she said, oh you got crotch rocket She didn't even tell me how she was going to react, I had to go ask to make sure it was normal. I know it's busy today, but damn these are people. We WILL HAVE A DISCUSSION BEFORE I LEAVE. read more

In my eyes, mind, and body, the care I received from this Emergency Room , from 1 to10, was 100! I had been suffering for months, even after trekking (that's what it felt like because I was so ill) to another hospital where I usually go to and each time was sent home with the usual "It's a Virus" diagnosis. I'm very surprised I'm still alive! Dr Beutler has no reason to be in the medical field. She lied to us numerous times when my wife was in the hospital. She had no idea why my wife was admitted and when we informed her she stated that was not the reason. Although, it was all documented in the hospital medical records. The quality of care she provided was totally unsatisfactory and she had the audacity to say negative things about numerous doctors who treated my wife. Very disappointed. My husband was brought by ambulance with even a crew of 4 firemen come to our house yesterday, Father's Day, because he was struggling to breath, O2 down to the 60s. Long story short, he's also a cancer patient, but why is he still in the emergency room 2nd day now? Why not get him settled in the floors asap? My daughter worked remote to keep him company & is working from the cramped space in the emergency room. Is this the great service that Mountainview is being praised for? DO NOT TRUST MOUNTAIN HOSPITAL IF YOU ARE PREGNANT! I came here for my delivery due to preeclampsia and needing an emergency c section. These people FORCE FED ME TYLENOL THROUGH MY ENTIRE 2 weeks there while pregnant as they claimed to try to keep him in a bit longer. They wouldn't give me a choice and claimed it's for the better and so much manipulative non sense. I had my son in 2020, and I know we've all watched the news. Tylenol and the FDA have been warning AGAINST the use of Tylenol during pregnancy since 2015!!!! Yet Mountain View in 2020 told me and guilted me into taking it!!! My son has severe adhd and is on the spectrum!!! I blame criminal doctors and nurses and staff like those at Mountain View! These doctors didn't care, like I've said it's been out since 2015 this is caused by taking Tylenol during pregnancy! So why TF would Mountain View FORCE IT ON MOTHERS!? Emergency room doctors are abhorrent. I took my wife here because she was sick from a lower bronchial infection. She couldn't breath and needed a strong nebulizer to help expand her lungs. The Doctor said it wasn't bronchial. He said it was just allergies. My wife sees a ENT who is one the best ENTs in the United States. The Doctor at Mountain West used a stethoscope to hear her breath after he had given her 3 potent nebulizer and said "she sounds good". Really? After the treatments? Of course She would. Then, he told me that coughing up mucus that is colored wasn't bacterial and it just allergies. He actually said it was a misconception that green mucus isn't bacterial! Four days later my wife was still not getting better. She then went to her ENT. He said she had a severe lower bronchial infection!!!! Heavy antibiotics and prednisone needed!!! This So called Doctor at these hospitals have ne eff$%%# idea what they are doing! Do not go here, they are completely incompetent and will end up killing you. My partner suffered an unexpected medical emergency while in a drs apt. An ambulance had to be called to transport him to Mountain View Hospital ER. The Emergency room was efficient and everyone was help kind and helpful. He had to be admitted for extensive testing. Major tests were done quickly and with kind staff. He was place in a huge room later in the day. Everyone nurses, catering,drs,cleaning staff were so kind and always took time to answer our questions. Unfortunately I had to take my son to the emergency room today because he hurt himself and was passing out. I did call an ambulance twice who insisted they were coming but, it was almost ten minutes waiting and the hospital is a quick drive. I arrived with my son and my brother is holding him while I am trying to explain what happened. Gave his name and age and he is literally passing out and looking pale and unwell in front of the front office staff. I gave his twice twice - she doesn't register it or something. Son is getting paler and dizzier and I can tell he isn't okay. The man told me I should have waited for the ambulance. Woman tells us to not yell at her. Son is still pale and dizzy. Outstanding compassionate care at MountainView Hospital! My husband, Patrick Garcia, had triple bypass surgery on April 14, 2026, at MountainView. We were very apprehensive about this major surgery, and our fear was compounded by his diabetes. Everyone at MountainView went out of their way to help alleviate our concerns. From the surgeon, Dr. Jahangir, through the nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and even the housekeepers, everyone involved in Patrick's care were professional and responsive. What a joke this place is. I took my brother here for his heart. He is having issues, starting with losing 75% of his sight in one eye. We ran around trying to get help with that, and another hospital told him he has coronary artery disease. The Neuro Ophthalmologist said the eye was a symptom of the heart, and to get to a heart doctor ASAP. We are calling around to other family and friends heart doctors, none of whom can see him, and said to go to the hospital! He started having chest pain, tingling in his left arm, and dizziness, and went to Mt View at my insistence. The girl who checked him in argued with him about what the other dress told him, "WHO TOLD YOU THAT!", then gave her two cents to Dr Hart, and we could hear how negative she was explaining to the Dr that "OTHER PEOPLE TOLD HIM". A girl who was new was trying to put a needle in him, and missed his vein several times before someone else took over. She rammed the temperature stick down his throat and he had to use his teeth to hold it from going down his throat. They still have his meds wrong as I guess they did not ask for an update since he was there last, prior to 2016. The doctor did not take this seriously and told him to follow up with a cardiologist. We can't find one that is taking patients until February or we would not be at a hospital with third-rate staff. The doctors are saying get to the emergency room, the emergency room is saying go to the cardiologist. In the meantime, he is going to have a heart attack or stroke, and these fools are brushing him off. I am so disgusted. How dare the intake person, who I assume has ZERO medical education or experience, tell the Dr her opinion and how dare the Dr Hart listen to her. The Dr glanced at the paperwork from two Dr, he just saw, did not read anything and ignored everything and just did not care that my brother on the verge of a heart attack or stroke. What third rate experience. No worries, Dr Hart, I won't let him die because you are complicit or take your instructions from the intake girt. Another day another encounter with a rude and unhappy nurse Davit (assigned to take care of my wife). Post surgery my wife should be getting pain medication every four hours as told by the pain management team. Before moving to another floor and room my wife was given the prescribed pain medications. The transition went smoothly from the old room to the new room. The issue started when Davit took over as a night shift nurse. The morphine is due at 11:30pm. At 11:45 pm no medication yet. My wife can no longer wait for the overdue medication, so I was asked to remind the nurse. Davit them informed that my wife needs to ask for the meds as it was stated in the doctor's order "as needed". No one told us about this change in acquiring medication. When the morphine is being administered my wife asks Davit about the second pain meds where he rudely told my wife You need to ask for it. I interjected and asked Davit about being rude. He then asked me why I was asking for meds. He then informed me that my wife should ask for meds not me. He continues to tell me that I should not force pain meds on my wife and that I should not speak on behalf of my wife. Davit's behavior is unacceptable. First, we are not informed that my wife should ask for meds. Secondly, his bedside manner is the norm in this hospital as we experienced. If I have a choice I will move my wife to another hospital to continue receiving her cancer treatment. Mountain View Hospital, based on personal experience, is not a place to receive treatment. read more

The food is horrific, terrible, gross, everything you can think of that nasty and then breakfast not served until 9:15 am, lunch served at 2:10pm, dinner served after 7:00 pm. This is every day . The nurses say it's only the 4th floor that gets the meals so late. To the Hospital administrators this is not acceptable and You need to rethink the company you are paying that is serving and making the food for your patients and even your own staff , SHAMEFUL read more

I came to the ER as a patient after everything went blurry. It turns out I experienced a mini stroke. On the night I was there, it was busier than usual (according to staff). I ended up being transferred to a hospital room and stayed at the hospital for a day or so. The staff and doctors were all very nice and took very good care of me.
