    First and last time ordering from Bob's Discount Furniture…read more I ordered a TV stand through their website and was given a delivery window of 1:30-4:30 PM. I specifically arranged for someone to be home during that time, but the delivery showed up at 12:23 AM instead. The driver waited a minute or two before leaving the package at the door while I was trying to contact the person at home to answer it. According to Bob's own delivery terms, the driver is supposed to wait 15 minutes before moving on. To be clear, I didn't even mind that they left it at the door -- I had actually left a note on the order saying to do so if nobody answered. What really frustrated me was what happened afterward. I received two separate phone calls from Bob's immediately after delivery. During the first call, I was told that because nobody was home, any damage to the item would be my responsibility. When I explained the driver barely waited before leaving, the representative changed his story and said the delivery driver would be responsible instead. Then, about 20 minutes later, I got another call saying that because I had left a note authorizing the item to be left at the door, any damage would once again be my responsibility. I mentioned that my security footage showed visible damage to the box, and the representative actually claimed the driver ripped the box "to check for damage." How exactly are you supposed to inspect furniture through a rip in the packaging? The strangest part was how insistent they were about making me accept responsibility for potential damage before I had even opened the box. Thankfully, the TV stand itself wasn't damaged, but the entire experience was ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I can only imagine the headache this would have turned into if the item had actually arrived damaged.
