I found Dr. Natali to be very unprofessional, judgmental, and can be described as a psychiatrist without any type of bedside manner. The appointment was scheduled for 6:45PM and did not meet with Dr. Natali until 7:30PM. This could be inderstandable if their were patients in the waiting area. However, I was the only person waiting to meet with the Dr. Upon our first session, Dr. Natali asked me to explain why I was there, and requested some background information. I immediately complied, and spoke to Dr. Natali courteously and professionally. Obviously, I have a history of mental health issues. Why else would I visit with a psychiatrist. However, Dr. Natali began looking at me as if I was a circus freak. Five minutes into the conversation, Dr. Natali interrupted me, and stated that she would not be able to assist me. She informed me that she would be unable to fit me into her schedule, and mentioned that I would need a team of professionals to provide me with services. I was mortified. I have never been spoken to by a mental health professional in that manner. Dr. natali did not offer me any suggestions or referrals. Dr, Natali failed to explore or inquire as to my thoughts about her decision to deny me with services. She did not xheck in with me to determine if I was at risk of harming myself or anyone else after what could have been mistaken for the ultimate form of rejection from a health care provider. I am grateful that I have been working on myself and mental health issues for years. Fortunately, I am high functioning and have placed an enormous amount of effort in building my esteem and self worth. For if I met with her twenty years earlier, I am not sure how I would have responded to her. My feelings were crushed, yet I was able to respond professionally in a dignified manner, but to deny a client services, without explanation, and without providing a list of referrals can be considered negligence. After this experience, I would never consider referring Dr. Natali to anyone. I would not want to expose anyone to the amount of insensitivity and lack of empathy that I was subject to during my appointment with her on July 9, 2013.

Our monthly appointments were always very short, she'd just ask how I was doing on the medication, our conversations probably lasted 7 minutes tops. Also, it was common that she was very late to our appointments or wouldn't call at the scheduled time which was difficult because a lot of the times I was at work and scheduled my appointment for a certain time because I would be free, then she'd call later on. I'd say the office is fairly easy to schedule with, they do most of the communications via email. However, they don't automatically charge the card on file for your visits which is annoying, so every time you have a session you have to pay using a link that's texted to you. I'd rather just have the card on file charged. Sometimes if Dr. Beskina was out I would see another female doctor named Alex who I really liked working with. She was friendly and seemed to actually care, however didn't accept my insurance and was only covering for Dr. Beskina so I couldn't change doctors. I remember Dr. Beskina also questioned my level of depression a few times, kind of downplaying it saying that if I had depression I would always feel sad, even when I was busy and distracted with other life things, which I disagree with. I never felt like I connected with this doctor, she isn't a warm person, and didn't really make me feel like she cared. I stopped seeing her a couple months ago. She also prescribed me 30 mg of Lexapro for anxiety, which is a dosage that is unheard of by every doctor I've ever mentioned it to, the highest dosage is 20 mg, so I'd take a pill and a half which all my other doctors (gp, obgyn) always questioned. However, it worked for me for a long time. Overall, I'd say my experience wasn't terrible but I wouldn't really recommend this doctor.

After that her psychiatrist went on vacation for three weeks, daughter went again once, same question and was told to come back in a month. When I tried to get her psychiatrist switched it took several phone messages and one irate message to have the Over worked/over whelmed Founder/Executive Director call me back and then never flow up. I sent more e-mails (nice ones) and still no response. When you are a psychiatric institution with the goal of helping people with depression and anxiety. A total lack of urgency, an unreachable staff and leadership that does not follow though effects the people who have entrusted their care to you and their families. As a group that has been so called caring for depressed people for so long it astounds me that you cannot see the impact of poor patient management can have.
