My experience with mindful care has been good. I have had no issues. It's better than the experience I had with another group..

Initially my orthopedist had recommended surgery but I decided to take a shot with PT first to see what progress could be made. I worked with Aakanksha over the entire time and I've come out the other end 99.9% pain free - around 8 months in total. She was very patient and helpful in understanding how to progress my mobility and reduce pain, we tried lots of different exercises each week to figure out what worked. Absolutely fantastic. I'm extremely happy I was able to avoid surgery and I can't be more grateful.. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming as well - the other PTs and the front desk too.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION, like your date of birth, your address, and information about…read moreyour care, I strongly suggest avoiding this location of Spear. The majority of what bothered me wasn't that they breached HIPAA law several times in a phone call to me: they fed to me someone else's date of birth, and instead of asking me to give them information about myself for them to confirm my identity, they fed me this information. Again, before they knew I was me. But I was ready to excuse the person who made the mistakes. I did want to prevent it from happening again, though. It was the ways the clinical director handled it that really frustrated and angered me. When I expressed concern to the m, while they acknowledged that a mistake was made, they responded with a lot of assertions about tangential policies instead of the issue itself; they didn't assure me that they and/or the location would work to avoid the same kind of mistake in the future; when I addressed this hole in a second in-person conversation about it, they claimed they made this assurance in the previous conversation, citing lines they never expressed in that previous conversation; in the same, second in-person conversation, they told me they talked with the person who broke HIPAA law, and less than three minutes later, when I asked them if they talked with the person, they expressed their 'Yes' in a high voice -- very unconvincing. The clinical director's physical therapy guidance also lacked the level of care for movement quality and level of attention in general that I want for my own healing or that of anyone I care about.

I made an appointment with her because I was having some skin issues. I also decided to do a mole check. It turned out that I had two moles that I needed to have checked. One had some abnormalities and I was told that I could check it in a few months or have it removed. It was on my back and I'd rather not wait. She also informed me that she could remove it but she gave me other options if I wanted to go somewhere else. I felt completely fine with Dr. Parmar removing it. She has such a great bedside manner; she had calming music playing during the procedure and I felt at ease. The other mole turned out to be normal. As for my skin, it turns out that it was allergy-related. I have since gone to an allergist at Century Medical and Dental (at their Myrtle Avenue location) for an assessment. I will say that even if you make it on time for your appointment, be prepared to wait. I made the mistake of going to Whole Foods before my appointment, let's just say that I'm glad this was in March and not July. I highly recommend Dr. Neha Parmar if you're in need of a dermatologist.

Came for my second appointment and learned when I arrived it had been cancelled. Now I'm here a third time, for a 9 AM appointment which I arrived for at 8:50. It's 9:30 AM and the hygienist hasn't even arrived yet. Complete disrespectful waste of my time. For a woman that works and needs to move meetings in order to make appointments, this facility shows zero care. I've had better experiences with the gynecologist. My primary care doctor was a homeopathic MD that I was working with for 20+ years. When my doctor retired, I was looking for someone else who would give me the care and attention I need to handle my autoimmune conditions. When someone mentioned "integrative medicince" might be what I should be looking at I remembered the sign for "Park Slope Integrative Medicine" around the corner, and checked our Dr. Chiniwala's website. I am SOOOO glad I made this connection. We have been working together for more than a year. And I mean it: "working together". I don't feel alone. I feel heard and respected. Dr. Chiniwala has so much knowledge to share, but she does so without forcing it upon you. I have made significant changes to my diet and lifestyle since working with Dr. Chiniwala, and all to my great benefit. I only wish I had found her sooner.
