I was impressed at the office staff, they make things seamless for you with arranging payment for your work, explaining how things will go on the day of the procedure and how to prepare for your procedure. They ask you numerous times if you have questions and give you the opportunity to express any concerns that you have. I am happy with the care that we received, the experience was positive from beginning to end. Today was postoperative day number one for my daughter and she has minimal pain after her procedure yesterday. Again, I work in healthcare, so I have seen the good and bad of how things can go. Hernandez! The treatment I received with DR. Hernandez and his office staff, I must say, was an exceptional experience from start to finish. What really stood out to me was the patience and thoroughness with which the doctor explained the entire process to me during that first visit. As the day of my surgery approached, I appreciated having been proactive in requesting a copy of the instructions at the initial visit- due to different conflicts, I had to reschedule my procedure 2 or 3 times ( I can't remember) so from that initial consult to the date of the procedure was well over 4 months. This was the first time I was undergoing any sort of procedure, so for my own wellbeing, I am glad I requested the paperwork at that first visit! While the pre-op instructions provided the night before were minimal, having the additional guidance ensured I was well-prepared for the big day. On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly, thanks to the professionalism and expertise of the entire team. I was pleasantly surprised by how little discomfort I experienced afterward, thanks to the adequate pain control measures put in place. My follow-up appointment a week later further solidified my positive impression of the office. I was informed upfront about the risk of infection, particularly in the lower teeth, and advised on what symptoms to watch out for. Unfortunately, I did develop an infection a week later, but the response from the office was swift and efficient. They offered me a same-day visit, although I had a scheduling conflict and went in the next morning instead. The quick incision and drainage procedure had me in and out of the office in under 30 minutes, with clear instructions on how to care for the site afterward. As per the hygienist, Dr. Leon requires a 1hr min for cleaning. The cleaning is the most thorough I have ever gotten plus they always have multi-flavored rinses to choose from and the doctor is patient and caring. I also think most of his staff including the doctor speak both Spanish and English fluently so independent of your language of choice you shouldn't experience any barriers. Recently I went to one of those chain dentist groups and was in and out in 25 mins with little to no time with the dentist . This is not that kind of place. Expect to be there 1-1.5 hours if you have good hygiene - they take their time and the dentist will look at literally every tooth! Dr. Leon's office is state of the art with new, clean equipment and computers. The patient rooms are all glass framed with hardwood floors throughout.
