During this time, they will make promises to make you feel better and not follow through. We were suppose to close on 12/06 but The Mortgage Hub didn't have the loan documents ready, despite double and triple checking with them that they received everything. When it got closer to the date they kept pushing the date back. Salomon promised to reimburse us for any extra fees that incurred because of the delayed loan documents. We ended up closing on 12/23, the day before Christmas Eve, almost 3 weeks late. We had to change the moving date several times last minute because The Mortgage Hub kept promising we could move in by a certain date AND had to pay extra fees for moving on a holiday. Ended up costing us almost $1,000. Once we closed Salomon and staff at the Mortgage Hub stopped answer any emails, phone calls and texts (see email bellow). If you are looking to borrow over $1 million for a house, please do so from somewhere else that is more professional and not avoiding your calls and e-mails over $1,000. They made the home buying process unnecessarily stressful and it really took a toll on our health. My spouse and I ended up getting sick during the holidays from all the anxiety and sleepless nights because of Mortgage Hub's incompetence to complete simple paperwork. They claimed they have done this "many, many times" but i highly doubt it. Don't let all the 5 star reviews fool you! Try a more reputable agency or even the bank. It's a lot of money and I wouldn't take the gamble.
