Outside of AAA, I've nevered used one before and had absolutely had no idea how to find one. Thank goodness for Yelp who helped me find a true gem of a mom-and-pop establishment in Erickson Towing!: Towing (Varies; $200.00 in this particular case) - As you would imagine, rates were not fixed because of the varying factors such as towing distance, work needed done, etc. Although a preliminary verbal estimate of $95.00 was given, trust me...the Benjamins spent was more than worth it! Read the "Service" section and you would understand why. Service - Here were a collection of choice descriptive words: AMAZING, COURTEOUS, GREAT ATTITUDE, HONEST, INCREDIBLE, PROMPT. Why such immaculate accolades!? I was having a driveway/parking lot removed and replaced anew the following morning, and all vehicles needed to be gone from the area. Due to neglect and lack of follow-up, one car ("shell" was a more appropriate word) was basically rotting away and totally inoperable. I wish I could copy a previous review verbatim because I spent the last 4 hours waiting on AAA to come tow our son's car out of a parking garage structure with no luck. AAA was unable to find a tow truck that could make the clearance and said I could get reimbursed if I found someone to do it. I called Erickson towing and they were honest and super reliable. I can only leave 5 stars, and I find this unfair. I would like to leave a gazillion stars. Friday in the AM, someone slashed my tires. Triple AAA's sub-contracted towing service could not due in what Super Mario did in 35-40 minutes. Super Mario is amaze balls, and nothing short of a saint in a tow-truck. I had a AAA tow company send out a driver in a flat bed. He instructed my boyfriend to get on the car and try and drive a car with 4 slashed tires out of an extremely tight carport. When I halted the attempt, since my car was within 1/4" of the wall he AAA's technician called yet another driver in a different type of truck a stingray without a wheel lift. When the car was in a even more compromise position he called his manager or another driver, so he could offer a final solution. The final solution from the AAA sub-contracted company offered to pull the car out under the condition I sign a damage waiver, since my car would more than likely incur damage. This started at 10:30 AM. 3 Trucks & 3 drivers later, and they could not do what Super Mario did in approximately 35minutes. I'm very exact Super Mario at approximately 10:35-10:45 AM and I was towed had tires replaced with a new set at home by 1:20 PM. I was on the phone with Triple AAA to seek reimbursement for what Super Mario did in 35-40 minutes, since three of their Sub-Contractors from United could not. I spent 6 hours on the phone with Triple AAA because of my sub-par experience with their contractors. I have had nothing but horrible service specifically from United Tow on more than one occasion, but this last time took the cake. This is long-winded because I was between a rock and a hard place, and I called Erickson tow solely based on the reviews for Super Mario. In all honesty Super Mario lives up to the reviews on him for Erickson tow service. P.S. rest assure when someone won't or can't Super Mario can. My car was in a tough to reach carport ( not underground ), and Super Mario put his vast experience to work. He is extremely humble for someone that provides nothing short than Stellar Service. He is an asset. I have the upmost confidence in Erickson towing service based on my personal experience. Rest assure that Erickson offers a solution when others cannot. Had been super helpful before towing my trailer and it took ONE, just 1 stupid incident where there was a timing error thru allstate platinum which I agreed to make up and pay him yet now he refuses to ever help again which is uncalled for. I guess I picked the wrong day to ask for his help. He's helped me with my trailer a few times and he was the only person I trusted but he's not a very understanding or forgiving person when it comes to crap incidents, 1 time change yet his field is to help people in auto emergencies which I would imagine someone would be understanding things happen. Someone attempted to steal my tires and left them all deflated and without wheel nuts. One was entirely removed from the axel, and another was slashed. I called Erickson towing in the middle of the night, and Mario arrived in less than the estimated 90 minutes. He made a trip to AutoZone for me to buy the new locking wheel nuts and returned promptly to replace them all. He also changed out the slashed tire and reinstalled the disabled one. He answered all of my many questions, worked quickly, gave great advice for how to approach my car's potential long-term problems due to the vandalism, and charged a very reasonable amount. I came home after a very long day to find someone else's car parked in my parking spot in the apartment garage. As it was after hours (around midnight), I could only reach my apartment management company's after hours line. They informed me that I could call a towing company to have the offending vehicle removed. Note that I've never gone through this kind of process before, so I was flying pretty much blind and relying on what I was being told. I found the "Erickson Towing" sign in the garage and gave them a call. I explained my situation, but the person who answered the phone was extremely condescending. He informed me that they needed someone from management to approve the tow. Since this contradicted what the management company has just told me, I tried to ask him if I could get them on the line to give approval. However, it took me multiple times to ask the question because he kept talking over me to the point of yelling. Once I was able to ask my question, he told me that he needed someone to physically sign. I asked how he thought I could do that given it's after hours, hoping that because their signs are in the garage that they might have some process worked out with management. He then went on a rant essentially calling me foolish for thinking that they would do what I was asking, and saying that he doesn't make the law. I then attempted to ask him a question about the laws and the process in case I ever ran into a situation where I owned a property and needed to have someone towed. Again, I had to ask the question multiple times because he wasn't taking me at all seriously, including yelling "you don't own a house, you rent an apartment"! After I got him to calm down and assured him my question was true curiosity, he did answer my question. I realize that my situation isn't typical, but I'm sure this company deals with plenty of people who are in stressful situations and there's no reason for them to make the situation worse by taking this kind "I'm right, you're wrong, don't bother me" approach.
