This is an update regarding my previous review about my experience with Crescenta Valley Tow through AAA concerning my broken window regulator motor. The owner, Andy, personally called me to discuss the situation. This time, he was very helpful and took the time to truly listen to my concerns. He gave me his word that he would help and, if necessary, would fix the window if I purchased the part. He even offered to pick me up and return my car once it was repaired. I genuinely appreciated being able to have a constructive conversation and work toward a solution. I respect that he took the initiative to call me back and try to make things right. However, in order to resolve the issue quickly, I decided to use a mechanic and paid $450.00 for the repair, plus a tip, totaling $475.00. I called Andy afterward to let him know he would not need to cover any damages since I had taken care of the repair myself. During that conversation, Andy informed me that I had likely been overcharged for the part by nearly $200.00. That information was honestly more devastating than the original issue with the window. To any women out there who may feel unsure about who to trust in situations like this -- I understand. It can be overwhelming. That said, I do want to acknowledge Andy's effort to make a bad situation right. I truly appreciated his willingness to step up and offer his time and help. For that reason, I feel it's important to share this update so other customers are aware. I stand by recognizing honest customer service when I see it.. read more

Crescenta Valley Tow is fast, reliable, and always comes through when you need them most. I've had a few flat tires and I always call them--every time I've been very happy with their service. Helpful and knowledgeable. CVT was called by our AAA when my daughter was run off Angeles Crest Hwy. Thankfully she is fine, but the car spun off the side embankment 20 feet down. The flatbed AAA had requested couldn't get it out and they would need to send a truck with cables the next morning, but the driver safely brought my daughter to their office where I was waiting for her. Andy, the owner, was in contact with CHP knowing they would be getting calls about it and let them know (after our consent) that CVT would be picking up the car in the am. Otherwise it would have been even more costly to have CHP drag the car up and tow it. CVT got the job done quickly and professionally, advising us of our options along the way. CVT was FANTASTIC!!! The driver was super careful putting my car onto the flatbed truck. I followed the AAA truck to the shop that was awaiting my arrival. He took side streets rather than the stop and go of a busy boulevard, super thoughtful! He carefully removed my car off the flatbed and made sure that both self and my car were comfortable and meeting with the owner of the shop. BTW, the driver called me when he was 5 minutes out for the tow and afterwards, thanked me for being a AAA member for many years! CVT helped turn and challenging day into a positive experience!!! Through AAA roadside assistance I was connected to a different tow company that left me hanging saying they cant recover my vehicle due to it being too far up ACH highway. After reaching out to AAA again I was connected with Crescenta Valley Tow. I had the pleasure of speaking with Andy on the phone who was polite, professional, and friendly. He said the driver would meet me at the entrance to ACH highway in 30 mins and Jose did show on time. Jose was helpful, cool, and good conversation the entire trip up the mountain and back down. Crescenta Valley Towing came through for me when I was in a bind. I had called AAA and another tow company was requested to look at my car. After waiting 30-45 min I received a call from this other tow company cancelling AAA order, stating that they didnt service this area. AAA then called Crescenta Valley Tow, the driver (Jose) was awesome and went above and beyond what I would have expected. I had sent him a picture of the alerts on my dash board and he researched this before arriving to my car. My car had completely locked up and wouldn't move. Jose was able to determine that it was associated with my battery. He cleaned the area where my battery was and found that my battery connection was loose and missing a washer. Jose tightened it as much as he could. My car started and I was able to get home and go to my mechanics this morning where they take care of the problem. Thank you Jose so, so much. read more

Tow driver was rude and purposely took a much longer route to get to the auto shop to charge more. I asked him beforehand why he's taking the long route and showed him my GPS, he argued with me and said he's going to go his way. Skip these guys if possible. For the record, this happened about 3 months ago, so I'm not sure if the same driver is there, but he was a jerk. read more

Got stuck at about an hour into the Angeles Crest at night and they had a driver come all the way out and gave me a ride back before they went up the next day to retrieve the car. Didn't charge for the extra trip and let me go through AAA to have it towed back to my house. Got the car out of a ditch very quickly and were very kind. 10/10 ! read more

Got stuck in Glendale. AAA connected me to this tow company. The dispatcher here isn't really a problem solver. She gave me one option: tow the car to La Cañada and then bring it to me the next day (absolutely not). Jose (the tow driver), HE IS THE REAL LIFE-SAVER! Arrived three hours late then lied to AAA about the GVW of the vehicle by instead giving them the GVWR in what has now been viewed by some as an attempt to get more money for the towing instead of the flat rate. They also lied about the vehicles status and told AAA that it was an RV because it had some modifications even though the DMV themselves classified it as not an RV and I have regular plates. I asked them to submit a picture of my plates as well as the new sticker showing a GVWR OF 8180 and they wouldn't. AAA threashold is apparently 8650 so they lied and told them it was over 9k even though it has been re-rated. Not to mention that the actual vehicle curb weight is less than 8000. All this in an apparent attempt to have AAA reclassify the vehicle so that they get a bigger fee. Now I'm having to send in documents showing that what they stated was completely false.. all while being stranded and refusing to tow it u less I paid over $350 to go 11 miles. Additionally they had all the information on my vehicle at 12:15pm and waited until 4:30 to deny the tow unless I paid cash and then tried to blame AAA's "policy" even though my vehicle was never classified as an RV by AAA or the DMV until Crescenta Valley Tow called them and attempted to have it reclassified AND lied about the actual GVW at the time of the tow. This meant that I was stranded in Glendale on my way to Oregon for an additional night because by the time they rejected the tow and I contacted AAA to escalate this, the tire shop that was waiting for me was then closed. AAA own agent confirmed that if the vehicle is registered with the DMV as not being an RV and the GSV was under 8650 then they had no reason to deny it. AAA is reviewing the matter but for now they said there is no one in this area with the flatbed truck that works with them that can take the VAN. Woke up to a flat tire this morning and Auto Club sent CV Tow to the rescue. Arthur was here 20 min. earlier than expected and efficiently changed out the tire. He showed me where the nail was and let me know not to drive on the freeway with the donut tire. Easy peasy! read more

My wife had a flat on the freeway, she requested a tow but they refuse to tow the car to my home. We have been a premier AAA customer for 15 years, have a 300 mile towing service. Not only that, the tow truck operator Jose took my wheel lock key. This place is horrible service. Avoid it!!!! Bunch of thieves. read more

This tow company is fast. Incredibly fast. By the time you hang up the phone, you'll see then in your rare view mirror. So efficient! Five minutes hookup and load into the bed truck. The drivers are pros in what they do and while doing thor job, they tru lower your anxiety. read more

My Kia Soul decided to die in Glendale at almost 8 PM on a Sunday :(. Seems I had not put the radiator cap on securely at some point in the very recent past, and it apparently had popped off, and all the coolant escaped out the top due to the pressure. All the warning lights went on and I was stuck 20 miles from home (Santa Monica). There were no good options other than towing. Called AAA. I was in a foul mood, considering everything going on. Jose, the CVT driver (AKA "Joselito"??), a tow truck driver, and not by profession a psychologist, immediately put me in a much better frame of mind. He searched in the darkness with flashlight for the missing cap in the engine compartment (didn't find it), discussed with me the entire issue, and the possibility of permanent engine damage due to the overheating etc. He put it on the truck and off to Santa Monica we went, having a GREAT conversation along the way, (largely about world travel, Mexico, etc.), giving me an excellent opportunity to practice my bad Spanish/Spanglish. When we got to Santa Monica he went above and beyond to help me add coolant with a funnel, and gave more general advice about getting a new radiator cap Monday. Summary: Jose is clearly a special employee, a great, friendly, calming human being to those who are by definition, with car problems, having a bad day; and as another post on here I think mentioned, he is clearly an asset to his employer. Stolen keepsake: I requested AAA service 11/6/2023 for a suspension issue. My wife saw, Marcus, the towtruck driver take item from vehicle. She hesitated to confront him and he was gone with my vehicle. The item was a pair of Vintage Chrome Hearts, handmade and one of a kind, sunglasses with large silver lens frames and bone-colored wooden rails with silver fleur-de lis inserts at the end that have deep sentimental value. They were given to me over 20 years ago by a lovedone who has since passed. Very frustrating to have property stolen. Crescenta Valley Tow Management was no help despite repeated attempts to investigate. AAA took a report and claim is pending. I have no interest is financial compensation and simply want the item back. What has this world coming to when noone can be trusted and integrity is gone? read more

Zero stars! Crooked. This is the SECOND time CV tow has lied and left my family stranded. The most recent- AAA routed them to me for a flat (1/2 mile from their facility) They said 40 min. wait. After and hour and a half! I called AAA since I had not heard anything. They said that CV tow cleared the job... I called CV tow- the guy said that he did not know why the job got cancelled. When I pressed him for times, they did not even match the times I made my original call- much later. I called AAA back- they confirmed that CV stated the job was on site and had been cleared..... so on AAA site, they looked like they did their job. Meanwhile, I said I still needed help but do not trust them and to please send another company. Interesting.....not one company in the area was available and picked up the AAA call....... hmm. sus. My car was here for about a week and half while my insurance and the guy that hit me insurance worked things out. Thought I got everything but I guess I left my Ray Ban titanium Wayfarer's in my car after getting into a bad wreck, once I got my car back they were of course missing. I had such a great experience with Crescenta Valley Tow that I needed to share my experience. I couldn't be more grateful to Marat, Alfred, and Arman for helping me with my car troubles. My car stopped moving and the power steering went out as I was leaving from the 2nd floor of a busy parking lot, late Friday evening. It was a very difficult situation because my car was blocking traffic, there were many cars and pedestrians in the structure, and it was late at night. After calling AAA, they dispatched Crescenta Valley Tow. Marat talked me through the situation as best he could, was very reassuring, and he was very honest. He was clear that safety was priority, explaining what options were available to get my car out. As no tow truck would fit in the structure, he advised me how to secure the vehicle for the night and confirmed they would return the following morning. I agreed with his recommendations as it would have been dangerous to try to move my car at that time with all of the other cars and pedestrians around. The next morning, I spoke with Arman from the office, and met Alfred at the parking structure. Alfred was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining what was wrong with my car and the best way to get my car safely out of the parking structure. All three helped me in a very difficult situation. It is difficult to find exceptional service like this and I am so grateful for a safe and positive outcome. read more

After my SUV was hit in front of our house, AAA sent out Sasun, of Crescenta Valley Tow to bring the car to the dealer for repairs. Since the brakes on my car were completely locked due to the hit-and-run, Sasun had to tow the vehicle from the rear; which meant making making a nearly impossible U-Turn while towing my SUV on our very busy and narrow street. However, to my amazement, Sasun efficiently and safely performed this incredible turn with perfection, which involved backing our towed SUV into a nearby driveway. On the way to the dealer, Sasun's 40-years of experience as a tow truck driver definitely could be seen with the ease that he used to maneuver several heavily congested streets. Indeed, one of the workers at the dealership commented that Sasun is the best of the tow truck drivers bringing cars in for repair. Thus, given our experience with Sasun, I would highly recommend Crescenta Valley Tow for anyone needing to have their car towed for repairs. read more

Wish I could give these con-artists a 0 star. They used my vulnerability to their advantage when I just got into a car accident where I almost lost my life. The owner/manager of the tow company named Andy told me why worry about the car any further when I was asking him to tow my car to pick a part in which they were going to give me 300 bucks. Andy said let me deal with that. Explaining to me that it's a bad idea, that I would walk away even regardless, due the cost of him towing it to pick a part for me and have to do a bunch of paper work at pick a part as well. So I agreed with him to dissolve my car and he told me I would never have to worry about it again. He calls me 4 weeks later said he was on vacation out of the country and was busy during the holidays which is why he didn't contact me sooner, but tells me I owe 2600 in storage fees due. I was scammed into thinking the car was going to be dissolved and never have to worry about it again, only to be surprised with impound fees for a car that I should've never received fees for per mine and Andy's agreement I was never told I was going to receive any fees per the agreement of mine and Andy. In my honest opinion I would not use this service! They are crooked the way they conduct business! Also another sketchy thing Andy kept telling me is he couldn't do a single thing to the charges because it was locked on his end of the computer but over the phone he keeps telling me he could bend the chargers and adjust them here or there to "help me out". Typical scammer behavior. He wanted to scam me so bad he even said pay me half the money now and he'll stop the charges and bring the other half next month when I have it.... there are others in here who have written similar reviews as I have please take it from us. I called AAA at 9am Was told Crescenta Valley Tow would handle service and a vehicle would be at my location by 10:12am AAA then notified me that service would be delayed until 11:23am With no service by 12:00pm I contacted AAA again to find out the delay and ask why 3 hours after my call I'm still waiting for service. AAA informed me that CVT is running priority calls. What does that mean? It means that because they know the truck they are sending will be out of their area for a considerable amount of time and unavailable. At no time was I contacted by CVT with an update of their arrival time or why the delay. 100% Unacceptable AAA then reassigned my call to another company at 12:46pm. Guess who called 10 minutes later, CVT. The gentleman from CVT, with no apology for the delay, began to explain they were still trying to get service to me. I interrupted him and explained that another vehicle had been assigned my service. At this time I asked the CVT dispatcher how many service calls they have made while I've been waiting he replied "25." At this time I informed the CVT dispatcher that I had logged a verbal complaint with AAA about Crescenta Valley Tow and will be logging a formal complaint with AAA about their poor service. At this point the dispatcher became rude, said do whatever and said "file as many as you want," and then hung up on me. As a former AAA driver I am 100% aware of how these contract stations do business. CVT prioritized their stations financial gain, the ability to make more money, rather than upholding their contract to provide fast service for AAA members. AAA guarantees 100% service CVT can't provide that If you are assigned service from CVT ask for another company. I've been waiting 6 hours because they don't honor their promises. If you are looking for a Tow but don't have AAA, I would suggest another company based on their actions today. PS. I just wanted to give high praise to Edik from Crescenta Valley Towing. He was dispatched to me through AAA and had to get my car out of my underground garage that didn't have enough clearing for his truck. Long story short he solved through a multi-step push then tow on a incline in the middle of a tiny suburban street in Glendale. First they brought my vehicle from the mountains to their shop, and a new driver took me and the car all the way to my mechanic in Huntington Beach. They have the rudest drivers and customer service. Drivers block driveways of residences when there is plenty of curbside parking that would still allow them access to vehicle. For example, I came home to one of the flatbeds blocking my driveway. He had more than enough room to park without blocking my driveway. He was loading a motorcycle which meant he didn't need to be in a specific location or angle to load it. It's really sad because they used to be a reputable company. Apparently somewhere along the lines they e sold the company and it's gone downhill. read more
