Don't use Eric's moving company. Every piece of our furniture was scratched. They used tape to secure the furniture together without wrapping it with anything and when the tape was removed, it took the furniture finished or paint off the furniture. If they were going to wrap the furniture with a sheet or something they should have told us to do it before applying the tape on the furniture direct. The quote that they gave us were not accurate, the total price was doubled then what they said it was going to be. read more

We loved these guys. Hired them a few months ago, good price and great service. They moved my mothers entire house of furniture in under an hour and a half (no boxes or anything, just the big stuff). They even called on the way to ask if she wanted coffee because they were stopping at Wawa. Would 100% recommend these guys. read more

This was one of the worst moving experiences that I've ever had. I was provided with a quote, but the bill was actually twice the amount of the quote. (so why come out and do a quote?/). The moving crew padded the bill by not moving efficiently. They would hang out on the truck and my husband & I were constantly walking out to see what was going on. I contacted Eric's several weeks prior to my moving. Eric Wright himself came out to give me an estimate. I had things in the garage as well as a storage unit (which I sent him DETAILED photographs of) and a full size 36 "x 72" desk and 24" x 72" credenza that were at another location. I was moving into an older house and was concerned about several pieces of my furniture fitting in the new house. I sent Eric detailed photos of the new house including the narrow staircase with a 90 degree turn. I was assured that my furniture would fit. I was also told that everything would fit in the truck (including my motorcycle) Because I was on a budget, I elected not to purchase the optional damage insurance thinking that I'd be ok. I also labeled approximately 90% of the boxes with the appropriate rooms so that the movers would know where to put those boxes, I also labeled boxes as "FRAGILE" and "NO TOP LOADING" thinking that the movers would read my labels. Moving day came and unfortunately, it was a less than pleasant event. I was told by Eric's son Chris that despite what Eric told me during his visit to estimate the cost of the move, everything was NOT going to fit in the truck, that I needed to pick and choose what I wanted in the truck. When I told him that Eric told me that everything would fit, I was told that I "needed to take it up with Eric" After leaving the old house, we went to the storage unit to gather the items there. The third stop was to a private individuals home to pick up my desk, credenza and file cabinets that I recently purchased. After the move, my cherry armoire was gouged and scratched by them, my stereo cabinet was scratched, the boxes that were labeled "FRAGILE" had many items broken inside despite them being appropriately packed. Boxes marked "ATTIC" ended up in the basement, boxes marked "MASTER BR" ended up in the bathroom. A hard side luggage case for my motorcycle was left outside next to the garage and was found the next day by my landlord who put it inside my garage for me. In addition, the turn signal was broken on my motorcycle by them. When it came time to get the large desk and credenza up the stairs, I was told by Chris that it simply would not fit. When I got upset and told him that Eric told me that it would fit, I was told "Maybe you should have measured your home before you bought the furniture" and that "It's not my problem that it won't fit up the stairs". If I spoke to MY customers like that, I would not have their business. After everything was brought into the house and it was time to pay the bill, Chris reduced the final bill by deducting one hour from the bill and not charging me the $75 for a few boxes and tape that they had to provide. I still had to find a way to get back to my old home 40 miles away and grab the items that would not fit originally into the truck. In all fairness, I have to say that I spoke to Eric about the items that were still at the old house, He told me that he would go to the old house, load up the remaining items and only charge me the time it took to load and unload but not charge me the two hour travel time. I declined his offer as it was less expensive to rent a U-Haul Van and do it myself. I believe the standard insurance covers $.60 per pound for damage to property but I did not look into making a claim as I felt that it wouldn't be worth it. Bottom line is that I felt like that the three movers didn't really care that they were moving everything that I own. I really did not like Chris's attitude, My ex wife recently hired them to put her piano on her moving truck and they were over 4 hours late to show up. I used Eric's for a short move distance wise but we had a ton of stuff and my husband was out of town. They sent three guys who showed up on time and spent the day working their butts off. They made sure everything I needed was done and took great care of my belongings. They were polite, respectful and courteous. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! read more

There was absolutely no misunderstanding. You charged me for an extra man and never informed me of it until the move was complete and I called you on the phone and you admitted it; you apologized and said "you would make it right". You did not make it right. And you completely forgot about the $150 deposit!! Beyond that Eric you should be discussing this directly on the telephone with your dissatisfied clients rather then on a website such as YELP. I stand by my negative review. read more

I decided to use the company based on my knowledge of their time in business, at least 20+. I was told (by Chris) not to buy any wardrobe boxes as the ones sold at retail locations would be inferior compared to what Eric's could provide. The boxes supplied were previously used for another move and were labeled with rooms and names I didn't recognize which wasn't defined but the salesman, Chris. I was shocked to discover that not a single wardrobe box was used or provided for my move, none! What was supplied were boxes labeled "Dish Barrels". ALL OF MY HANGING CLOTHES were deposited into the bottom of these boxes. After 2 months of storage, you can't imagine the condition of my clothing.
