A friend told me about the laundry list of work they have done for him. He buys houses has Payless roofing fix them up then sells them and he has been working with them for years. From my experience with him he hires guys that just need a second chance and have been shunned and turned down every job they apply to. He works with guys that come here on work visas gives them a home and picks every one up for work in the morning. I've seen him give a homeless guy a job he just met on the street that offered to help him with some debris from my roof he asked me if it was ok. He was sober and eager to help and didn't seem to pose any safety risks. Im in social work so of course it was ok. He worked hard and the roof looks amazing. No more leaks! He even moved him into the house he rents for his other workers. Derek has a huge heart , quoted me much lower than other companies and my roof looks awesome.

Three days later I had to kick them off my property after realizing they literally had no clue what they were doing. I paid $1000 plus bought all materials including a sanding block, should have been a huge red flag that a professional contractor didn't even have something to sand with, his other company is a drywall company. Everything they touched they either broke or left in worst condition than found. On top of what I gave them and the need to pay a "real contractor" to come in and redo/fix their shoddy "work" I also had to pay for things they broke while they were attempting to do the work they said they could do. NO refund or compensation was offered even after admitting to not doing anything properly. The pictures do not even show all the damage they left behind. A complete and total mess that I had to continue to ask the workers to clean up after themselves. All in I was quoted $1500 and will end up paying almost $4000!!! Very expensive life lesson

Getting them to come out and inspect it has been impossible--multiple delays, shifting reasons (weather, scheduling, location), and periods of simply no response. After days of trying to resolve this, I mentioned I might need legal help if the issue wasn't addressed. The response I received was: "tell your lawyer to talk to mine." At this point, the main issue isn't just the leak--it's the lack of follow-through once the job is complete. A warranty should provide support when problems arise, and that hasn't been my experience. Draw your own conclusions.

I needed front doors sanded and repainted. The owner Tracy , thought the doors were wood according…read moreto pics he requested. He didn't actually come to my house to see the doors so he thought they needed to be sanded and restained. When the handyman arrived he told me the doors were not wood but metal and would need to be painted. Then the price went up $400 for painting instead of staining. He bought paint, which we had requested black, and he painted the first door. While the door was wet, it looked black. But the next day when he came back, the door was actually very dark brown. So we asked him to get the right paint. Which I got charged for again. He redid the threshold. He took the iron bars off the doors and sprayed them with black rustoleum. I asked him if he could putty some large cracks on two big columns on our front porch. He said he could patch the cracks with putty and then would paint. He ended up putting some kind of weird bonding material all the way around the base of the column and you could see some kind of fiber in the bonding and then he painted it. He did this without asking me first. I was not happy at all with the way it looked. They called me after the job was done and said they would come back and see what they could do to fix the patch job. It's been over a week now and I haven't heard a word from them. I wouldn't recommend for these reasons. They said if anything were to change as far as their quote to me went, it wouldn't be more than 10% of the estimate. They gave me a price of $2400 for the doors and then wanted $400 more for painting instead of staining. What's the big difference? The paint they charged me for, which was the wrong color, was only $6.00. Why the $400 up charge? They should've come out in the first place to see what the doors were actually made of instead of requesting pictures. You live and learn. I will not use them again. Very disappointed. I will say they eventually came down on the price after it went up, and it was about $2500 instead of $2900 which they were going to charge me. The doors look good. The threshold was left the dark brown color though and I had to repaint it myself with the black paint. The columns look terrible.

I had blinds installed throughout the house and a gallery shelf hung in my living room. Despite a short round of phone tag, I was finally able to connect with Ryan and he scheduled Brian to come to my house a few days later. Brian was on time, super friendly and very professional (plus he was able to chat about football which made me feel much better about having a stranger in my house.) The projects were done perfectly and Brian even took the leftover packaging with him when he cleaned up. At $45 hour, I felt WSHR was a bargain and I would definitely recommend them!!

Multiple valleys, peaks, skylights and vents with curated gardens and decks below compounded the project. The project was completed from beginning to end with a high degree of conscientiousness toward quality and care for the overall property. The crew arrived early, worked in a highly productive manner throughout the day, finished each day leaving roof in a no risk protected condition from potential rain or wind and did not leave until all personnel participated in a thorough clean up of debris, including magnetic screening of lawn, gardens and driveways for nails. I have done construction projects in the past, know building codes and felt the crew met/exceeded my expectations. The quote was detailed and the work was completed to high quality standards on budget and on schedule - we got a an excellent value for our expenditure. I have a very simple roof. Not tall, not steep, not overly large. The Roofa completely failed at…read moreone of the most simple roofing projects they could have been offered. Neglectful Workers from the Roofa installed tongue and groove roof sheathing "tongue to tongue" and "groove to groove". Manufacturer specification for this product stipulate tongues must go into grooves during installation. They did not bother to construct my roof properly because they were in such a rush to finish in a day. Combative Afterwards, the business owner came to my home, inspected the finished project, and gave it a passing grade. Following my discovery of the faulty workmanship, I gave this business the opportunity to make things right but they refused and advised I should hire somebody else. When I would not choose the contractor they wanted me to, the business owner attempted to wedge himself between us and the new contractor we hired in order to negotiate a better price for himself. It is my firm belief this business was not honest with me and I do not believe they will care about providing quality workmanship for your roof that you protect your family with either. Unprofessional In my opinion, the workers sent to my home by the Roofa did not fit any of the descriptions found on the company website which promises consumers "Service with Integrity" and a "team of experts". It also makes claims of an "experienced staff" that is "highly knowledgeable". They rushed through the job and it came out absolutely terrible. They also left thier jackets behind and I found my kids going through the pockets the next morning. Total Slobs In addition to the jackets, we found discarded phone charger cords, cigarrette butts, what appeared to by the remnants of drug parapheneilia, and other junk all left by the side of a private road that I share with my neighbors. We are still finding little bits of shingle trimmings in the gardens.
