So many delicious looking goodies! Tried the Muskoka Road square and a raspberry delight tart, was not disappointed

The baguette was dreamy - light as a feather and sturdy at the same time, the perfect foil for an afternoon steak sandwich. The streudels - oh dear lord, were they heavenly. Don't choose between the ones with cream cheese and the standard fruit varieties, just get both. The butter tarts. Dear HEAVENS the butter tarts. Were they ever incredible. We have two gorgeous pies awaiting a visit to friends tomorrow and more treats for breakfast tomorrow. This is a destination bakery worth traveling for if you are in the Lake of Bays area. You won't find anything fresher with more variety and more delightful than this one. Just don't be impatient: you and everyone else will need loads of time to pick it all out!

This location is the newer of the two locations, and accommodates larger parties than the original Dwight location. Locals and tourists come here for the great selection of bread, sticky buns, cookies, and other baked goods. They also have a great selection of beverages including coffees and teas. We stopped at this Huntsville location on the way home from Algonquin Park as the Dwight location didn't have the pie I wanted. It turns out their apple pie is hugely popular as it was sold out at this store too. Staff were friendly and helpful, and suggested calling ahead or pre-ordering the apple pie as options in the future. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area.

The berry scone was amazing as well. I wished the tea place we went to the day before in Gravenhurst (Blue Willow Tea Shop) made their scones as good as this. Farmer's Daughter's scones were sweet and didn't need jam. The chocolate chip cookies were fantastic as well. I liked the husband's edamame avocado bean salad. The son got a pasta combo for $18.99. I really liked his mac and cheese; the pasta salad was fine. I wasn't a fan of his peanut butter chocolate chip cookie (too much pb, not enough choc) The daughter really liked her potatoes dauphinois. Her side of roasted cauliflower, mushrooms, and broccoli were fine, but the pierogies were exceptional. This place drains your wallet little by little. I suggested it because I thought it would make sense to have a cheaper lunch but I'm not sure it was. Especially by the time we got dessert. (But it was worth it!) The next day the husband and I had the lentil wrap - he ordered it the first day and was a fan. It was kind of like Amy's brand of samosas but better and fresh. It definitely grows on you. The daughter was not as into her chicken with cornflake breading. The son got the lasagna but thought the previous day's mac n cheese was better.

If they stayed open a little later they could get a lot more service. I walked in 5 minutes before closing and they locked the door behind me. My husband said 6 or 7 people walked up and were turned away in the 10 minutes I was in. Sandwiches looked good, I wish I could spend more time. Lovely baskets and plants as well.

I keep thinking that this place must be a part of a social experiment. Food was just not good…read more There was celery on the nachos, which was a first for me, and they were horrible. Everything tasted off, we waited 55 minutes for our food with one guy serving the place. I truely can't get over how this place stays open and how they have any 5 star reviews? Maybe I missed the secret doorway to the real restaurant. And... cherry on top...it was sooooo cold. Everyone was wearing their coats!!! Go down the road to the Boiler Room.

Well where to begin, from the outside this place looks like a typical roadhouse. When me and my…read morewife arrived we were not greeted and no servers were to be seen. I waited 5 min and then just picked a seat, two other couples were already sitting. Eventually an elderly man Mario the owner comes out of the kitchen after I could hear him shouting at the cook to serve us...at this point I ordered a rye and coke and my wife asked for a diet coke, and a simple order of burger and fries. While taking the order Mario must of had pink eye because he kept rubbing his eye while talking to us, but we never saw him wash his hands. We should of made up an excuse and left at that moment. But we thought how bad could it be.... The rye finally arrived and it tasted like cigarettes. I kid you not. The diet coke was not diet but tasted awful. As we waited for food and started looking around I noticed all the dirt and dust, along with empty glasses and plates left out along with an abundance of garbage pilled up all over this place. Not to mention the half fillied up green alge fish tank right at front door. Kinda gross if the seating area was this bad I can only imagine how bad the kitchen was... The only two people working were the cook and mario. Mario was yelling at the cook several times while we waited for our food...at this point we were committed. After about 30min the food came out. My burger seemed like it was boiled...or cooker a few days ago and re-heated. The gravey must of had too much in the dish because it looked like they poured some back out, and left me with about 3 tablespoons, it's ok because it was gross anyways. My wife had sweet potato fries...don't get them they were soggy grease covered limp fries. The condiments...omg they are using old bottles and re-filling them. Not uncommon for ketchup in glass bottles, but the mustard squeeze bottles were all sticky like the dishwasher melted the outside of them. I didn't risk it. The best part about the meal was my regular fries. They were actually good. Other then that this place should close up and clean up. Don't visit for the food. I'd stick to bottled beer if you stop in. Maybe offer mario some some help to clean the fish tank.
