I have spent my entire life being afraid of the dentist. I had an awful dentist as a child, and so…read moreI spent years ignoring my teeth. I called Dr. Jirovec's office with extreme tooth pain, and they fit me in immediately. I was scared to death, but Dr. J and his entire staff eased my fears by talking me through what they were going to do. They also frequently checked in with me to make sure I was feeling okay. They never once made me feel bad for neglecting my teeth for years. Dr. Jirovec is very concerned with making sure you are not in pain, and that you have the best experience possible. I have spent hours and hours in his chair this year getting my mouth back in top shape. Each visit makes me love him and his staff even more. He has not only helped to give me back my confidence in my smile, but he has helped me to conquer my fear of the dentist. He is my dentist for life!!

Horrible experience from day one and regret ever using this office. After the first filling failed…read moreless than a month later I returned to his office only to be told that it was my fault and not his. Then not even four months later two additional fillings cracked and failed, falling out and leaving me in pain embarrassment and additional dental bills as result. I would not recommend this office for any reason and will be filing a dental malpractice complaint with the KS Dental Board as well as a personal injury attorney. I would advise people that this office did something I think everyone should know, which is they submitted the claim to my insurance for payment twice. Thankfully insurance denied the second claim preventing them from filing multiple claims for the same work. The refuse to take responsibility for their poor work and will blame the patient or another dentist without any thorough evaluation and will say that his work is perfect when in fact multiple at least three at this point have failed in major ways, exposing the interior of the teeth. I have filed complaints with my insurance company who has started an investigation as well as will be submitting a complaint to the KS Dental Board for review and have contacted a dental malpractice attorney. This has been a major issue that his office and himself have tried to deny and leave my initial tooth that he worked on and failed exposed as a result. I have suffered pain, embarrassment, loss of income due to additional work needed to fix his mistakes. Under zero circumstances would I ever recommend going to this office to anyone for any reason, not even a cleaning at this point. When a provider knows they are at fault and wishes to not accept responsibility that is a major red flag that should worry anyone that has had work done by this dentist. I feel bad for his son, who probably does decent work, but due to his fathers negligence this office is gaining a very negative reputation. The initial process felt rushed, and when I called out some imperfections immediately after his work, he said that it was normal, which is was not. He has cost me a lot from my loss of time, income/wages, personal embarrassment, pain in my exposed teeth and jaw at times, and completely missing fillings that he did and again tried to bill my dental insurance TWICE for the same work. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE.

Dr. Justin Jirovec assured me that a root canal was an option in order to keep my tooth. He made sure that I was numb and between both doctors they got my issue resolved. Left me with multiple failed fillings due to poor quality work by the dentist. He refused to take…read moreresponsibility for the first failure less than a month after receiving services from him. Now four month later there are at least two other complete failures of the fillings leaving me in pain and embarrassment due to the appearance of the teeth damaged by his work. A complaint has been filed with my insurance who he submitted the same claim to twice on two different occasions for the same work. Insurance denied the duplicate claim and did not pay out thankfully. When confronted with his subpar work, he blamed me and/or a previous dentist for the failure but he was the only dentist to have performed such work on those particular teeth. A complaint is being filed with the KS Dental Board for investigation as well as contacting a dental malpractice attorney to review the case and seek damages for this matter. I would AVOID this office at all costs and would not trust this dentist to ever do work on me or my family again. I even brought up concerns about the initial work the day it was done but was told that a jagged edge of a filling is normal, which if you ask any reputable dentist they would disagree. Now I will be spending thousands of dollars out of pocket as a result until a resolution is reached with the malpractice attorney. Thankfully I have access to a dental office that saw me just a couple months previously for an evaluation before being relocated back to Kansas City. This will give me accurate details of what was previously done before him, and now will have accurate details of his work and the failures caused by him through another local dentist. Unfortunately this is out of pocket expenses I don't have right now but the pain is severe and the look is a total embarrassment which has caused significant emotional distress. He does not take any responsibility, will blame you or another provider, and will not do repair work. I hope that this review saves someone else from experiencing the same thing I have. Before going to see a dentist, make sure that they are fully capable and experienced to do quality work. For as long as he has been in practice, he should have that experience and knowledge but he clearly doesn't and is only focused on maximizing his profits for his own gain. He has caused me a great deal of stress, anxiety, pain, and embarrassment all resulting in months of emotional distress and potentially exposure to additional damage of the teeth that he worked on. AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS.

Love Stephanie! While I do not live in the area any longer, I still want to take a minute to rave…read moreabout her. I went to Stephanie for years before moving out of state, then immediately sought her out when I moved back to the KC region, not just because of Stephanie but because of her staff. I have been to a lot of dentists, having lived in multiple states, and the staff, from the front desk to the hygienists, make such a difference. I have been to dental offices where the hygienists shame you for not flossing rather than educating their patients and that alone is what kept me coming back to Stephanie Warden. I wish I could have packed her and her team up with me when I moved to DC because I have not been able to find the same kind of care, friendliness, and compassion as her team. She also somehow always remembered to ask questions about me that told me she actually remembered me and my story. She made me feel like I was her only patients among many. Thank you Stephanie and team for all that you do!

She encourages any and all questions, because she values having educated patients. Stephanie speaks in a kind manner. She always asks me about things going on in my life and actually remembers things I told her even several years ago (ex. my granddaughter's name)! The front office staff is very welcoming and knowledgable. My regular hygienist, Marissa, makes getting one's teeth cleaned a pleasure, and I never dread going to my appointment. Marissa, who is as friendly as can be, thoroughly explains what she is going to do before doing it. If I had to name one disadvantage of being Stephanie's patient, it is that she no longer participates with Delta Dental. Still, I will not give up Stephanie just to have an in-network dentist. She is completely worth the slightly increased fee. I unequivocally recommend Stephanie.

Five stars. Plain and simple!…read more If you were to look back at my few-dozen Yelp reviews of businesses over the past five or six years, you wouldn't often read a review, even a five star review, that didn't have at least one very small drawback. This review is not one of those. This one is FIVE STARS, capital letters, no concessions. Dr. Wooddy, his staff, and their dental business is one of the sure things in my life! I've been going there twice a year (in a good year...more if my teeth aren't acting right!), for 14 years, and haven't once ever had anything less than an outstanding, pain-free, friendly, stellar experience! Dr. Wooddy is, without a doubt, one of the three nicest people I've met in my entire life. My teeth have been worked on by five or six hygienists over the years, and all of them have been extremely kind, gentle on the teeth and gums, and fun to chat with (to the extent one can with a mouth full of hands and tools). They always call to remind me of upcoming appointments, work with me on payment terms and insurance, and make sure I'm equipped with all the latest information on modern dental hygiene. When folks tell me they're new to town, there are literally only two people I recommend - a realtor I trust with my life, and Dr. Wooddy/Corinth Dentistry!
