TL:DR     Ed Fox gave _very_ incorrect information and did…read morenot follow up as promised. My mom is 64. She and I have a chronic genetic issue. She swore off doctors years ago. So when I finally found something that was helping, it took a lot of convincing to get her to go. She did some research and decided to see Ed Fox. He wasn't familiar with her condition. That's fine. We're used to that. What she was asking for is Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) to help treat the chronic pain, among other things. He told her it's a controlled substance and that he'd need authorization, so he'd get back to her. It's not a controlled substance. In fact, had he done a five second google search, he'd have seen it's kind of the opposite. It's an opioid antagonist and is used in its normal dose to treat opioid and alcohol addiction. But he didn't do that. He also didn't check with others in his practice and get back to her like he said he would. If you have a cold, you're probably fine going here. If you're looking for a doctor that will actually do what he says, cares about your issues, and will look into things you bring up--this is not your guy. Now I have to try and convince my mom to try again. And it's going to be harder than it was this last time.

Same day appointment within in an hour or less. They are on my Medicare-advantage PPO approved provider list, so copay is all I pay. Quality medical care, friendly staff, easy to understand explanations of diagnose and treatment, always a positive experience. This is my go-to for non-life threatening medical emergencies.

My husband took our 17 year old son there with fever, sore throat and enormous swollen tonsils. Strep test negative, did a test for mono and sent him home with no medicine ordered. Few hours later our son began having severe ear pain. Called office and finally called in a Zpack (second line defense drug usually given to patients with penicillin allergy). Our son has no allergies. Was never given result of mono test. By Tuesday night his tonsils were swollen so large he had difficulty swallowing and raspy voice. Wednesday morning I called to report he was way worse. Learned test negative, so not viral. They wanted us to wait until 1130 to come in for another appointment. Told them never mind, i wasn't waiting any longer for them. I took him to Vitruvian Health Walk-In Clinic where they found he had an abscessed tonsil. They gave him injections of antibiotics and steriods and prescription for amoxicillan. I will not risk my cilds health at Bradley Polk Walk-in Clinic again. I may not have a degree but common sense tells me that strep throat is not the only illness that causes swollen tonsils requires an antibiotic.

Emily, the nurse who took my vitals and history was another person with a warm personality and nice professional approach to the tasks at hand. My visit with the nurse practitioner, Colleen just blew me out of the water. Pleasant, quick to grasp what I was asking for and even faster in meeting my needs. The whole place runs smooth as silk and after working 45 years in healthcare, I am usually NOT impressed. But, wow, I think I have found my go-to urgent care for the future.
