I have rented a storage unit from this location twice. Once in July of last year, again just this past week. I have a story for you all, I don't know if I should tell it. I rented a UHaul pickup truck this week. Took my first load straight to this location, did not call first. They are extremely helpful and friendly and knowledgeable at this location. Got me a unit. Everything was fine. I was there just a few days ago, I think I made 3 or 4 trips total. So as I am attempting to leave after unloading my truck, I go to leave out the front, and there is a person in a car in front of me. I'm not gonna say who the person was male or female, just a human being. I'm not gonna say the kind of car. It was just a human being. As I'm pulling up behind this person I could tell immediately something was off. They were attempting to use the keypadTo get out from the gate so they could leave. But apparently however they had gained entry it wasn't right, because they couldn't get out. As soon as I noticed they were having trouble with the keypad I was in no hurry. I wanted to see the staff of this storage place in action. So I pulled up behind the person and the person put their head out the window and spoke in my direction. They said something to the effect of I'm sorry I'm trying to get out they won't let me get out. And like I said, I was in no hurry at all. So I made sure to relay that to this car in front of me with the one person inside. I was in no hurry and I could have spent more time just sitting there. Yes I have things to do yes I had places to go, but I love this place for many reasons. One of the top reasons because of the security. They really take good care of you and do everything they can to take great care of your belongings and your possessions. The person in front of me could tell they weren't going to get any sympathy from me so then they spoke straight into that keypad. They said I'm trying to get out I need to get out. I apologize I do not remember her name right now but she was there before when I rented a unit in July. She's wonderful she's got long dark hair and I believe she's the manager. If I am mistaken I do apologize I've met quite a few people in the last several months I've been dealing with a lot of different things so no disrespect to her she's very memorable and her name deserves to be in this review but I just don't have it at my fingertips at the moment. So the car in front of me spoken to the keypad and said I need to get out I'm trying to get out. And so the manager wonderful person came out from the office and she deserves a lot of recognition. I didn't know who was in front of me in the car but inside I had attitude towards this person. Not on the Outside, but on the inside I did because I know how it works once you rent a unit. Everything has to be accessed through the gate and you have to have a code and I guess you can have one car follow you in but they have to also follow you out so somehow this human being got in and idk what facilitated what but that person was not with any other party so in essence that car in front of me was not supposed to be there. So this wonderful employee came out like I said and she attempted to explain the rules which we already know before we get our gate code and before we get our keys. And the person in front of me just wasn't owning up to their part and everything and they just said I want to get out. And so this manager said to them extremely professional extremely kind very decent please don't come back. And as soon as that gate opened, The car took off and they were gone. I would recommend the storage place to anybody. I find the units to be quite affordable. The staff to be wonderful. They take security and safety very seriously. I never see them slacking off I see them taking great pride in the grounds and in their job and with everything associated with the services they offer so I just want the owners to know you got yourself some good ones. The world is in a weird place right now the world is not even a safe or nice or kind or friendly as it used to be. It's nice that they're still good people out there and I consider Earl storage to be good people and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to rent there. They didn't not act rude because we could not pay our storage. They worked with me so I could pay my past due with out any plans on auctioning our unit. I also never go more then 2 months behind. To start off the pricing is way to expensive! Shop around because there are better units at better prices. Now let's talk about their policies. We put in a thirty day notice as per their policy. They agreed to pro-rate us for a week but on that very next day cancelled our thirty day and requested that we pay an additional month. We did and then removed our belongings that next day. When our NEXT thirty days came, we went to do the walk out and they said we never put in a thirty day notice. So let's work this out. I put in a thirty day notice, of which they cancelled not me. I pay for the next month on the agreement that it has been extended with their manager Sarah, and low and behold, "I don't see a thirty day notice on your account. " the guy that was in today even said, "it makes no sense as to why she would not put the extension in here, that it was obvious we were removing your belongings, but she is new so maybe she did not know how to" yet now I have to wait til Monday to speak to the manager and find out what it is they want to do. I am NOT pay for another month on a 30 day notice that you cancelled, not me. Just be sure if you do rent a unit from these people that you know they do NOT work with you they lock you out asap, no excuses, no exceptions, you WILL lose you stuff with in 2 weeks of not paying your bill or using their "language" in terms of extensions, or pro-rates, get those agreements in writting because they will not stay with what they agreed with you over the phone. They are shady in how they run the money part. They do not care if they rip you off. read more

Moving to the area from Woodland. This storage facility had a great special plus I could rent a U-Hual truck for my move. I liked the location as it was off the freeway and it had all the upgrades like gate entry, cameras, door alarms and staff who live on site. I feel that my belongings will be safe. I also had great customer service as it was kind of hot and I was crankie. The staff was very helpful and made me feel like they really cared and answered all my million questions. read more
