Not only is Ernestos the only place my husband and the men in our family shop but we had our entire wedding party fitted there. Each person with a different shape and unique desires that Ed managed to bring together seamlessly. Ed helped us choose everything from fabrics and colors down to the threads and accessories. I've been seeing Ed for a number of years now. I miss the old shop in South Philly but I'm happy that Ed is realizing his dreams and visions in Cherry Hill. Ed is so good that I've followed him from across the bridge! Ed has helped me with so many life events including my wedding day. Wearing my bespoke tuxedo for the biggest day of my life was absolutely amazing! Every detail was meticulously thought through and the quality of workmanship is second to none. There is a review on here by a user 'D S.' which was augmented after he received a response from the owner, but I have to second his original review because I had the same experience. I went into this shop and it was almost comical how rude the owner Ed was. He assumed immediately that I would not have enough money to pay for what I wanted, which was a weird thing to do. All he kept doing was talking over me and telling me how expensive everything was going to be. After he gave me an idea of what needed to be done, I wanted to give it some thought. He seemed very displeased with this and rushed me out. If you'd prefer to be treated like a normal adult person, this is your sign to go elsewhere. Where do I begin. I guess with this, GO TO ERNESTO'S. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Whether it is for your wedding day or just looking to get a custom suit, this guy knows what he is doing and is an absolute visionary. I went in there roughly 45 days prior to my wedding day and asked Ed for the custom tux I had always dreamed of. I described it exactly as I pictured it and just watched Ed go to work taking notes on what I was envisioning (an all black tux with velvet lapels). He not only knew what I had in mind but threw in suggestions that would make this tux even more perfect (custom liner, velvet pockets and buttons, textured black fabric for the tux). After only one visit, they went to work. The result?? This thing was absolutely perfect. Far exceeded my expectations while also encapsulating everything I had requested in the tux. He was able to do all this in such a short time frame. On top of it all? I lost about 25 lbs in anticipation of the wedding so after meeting with Ed again he was able to adjust my measurements to ensure the tux fit like a glove. Ed walked me through the entire process of picking fabrics, colors, designs, etc. Ed was very helpful and personable throughout the entire experience. Ed DeSumma the owner has been in the business over 30 years in his old Philadelphia location. He is such a delightful person, so knowledgeable about fabrics and trends. I personally wear less trendy clothes as I am getting a little older but he has always fitted me perfectly, he actually just adjusted a 6 year old sport jacket and it fits like a glove again and even looks a little more modern. UPDATED: After seeing my original review below, Ed apologized and requested an opportunity to make it up to me. He felt the service I had received was not a true representation of him or his business. He admitted his business is growing and as a result is going though some growing pains. I said I would give him another chance after we came to an understanding of what could have been done better. Upon my latest visit I noticed better time management while navigating through multiple clients. We started right on my appointment time and the items were ready to go for me despite already working with another client. When I needed his opinion both him and his assistant promptly offered guidance. His assistant quickly wrapped up the transaction based upon the fair price Ed offered. Overall, we got off to a bad start, but Ed and his team made it up to me. I would consider him in the future. ORIGINAL (2 stars): There are a couple of things you should know before you go. First, appointment times are just suggestions to Ed. He never starts on time. Second, even if you have an appointment, he will pay little attention to you and give you little respect unless you make it clear you are going to drop several thousand dollars on multiple custom suits and accessories. I went to see Ed three times. All three times he could not keep the appointment time. The shortest wait time after my appointment should have begun was 15 minutes with the longest approaching an hour. He advertises a personal concierge service, so making customers who have appointments wait that long is unacceptable. I would expect these wait times for a doctor's office. In regards to the delivery of the men's clothing product and tailoring , I was promised expertly tailored and pressed clothing. I received neither. I had to come back to have him press the clothes and ultimately decided to press one of the shirts myself because I did not want to waste another hour my day listening to him up-sell other customers on Foreign fabrics and patterns. If you time is valuable and your budget is under $5,000 look elsewhere. I will not be back anytime soon. read more

I can't say enough good things about Ed and his team. Ed created a custom Tuxedo for my husband on our wedding day. He also created custom suits and jackets for my dad (father of the bride). Everything he made was positively perfect. On our wedding day, our men looked incredible. We were on a tight deadline and Ed more than delivered. I have had mixed (mostly meh) experiences with custom clothes as I've historically gone with the lowest priced or the hippest (wow this guy plays professional sports so of course he should be awesome at making custom clothes). Anyway, I figured now I would test out "experience". I ordered one shirt from Ed as a trial...Caveat emptor. And I have to admit, I was pretty impressed. The shirt was reasonably priced ($150) and arrived when expected. It fit amazingly! Living in the city, i thought it was a pain to drive to cherry hill but after seeing the fit (especially compared to my previous experiences) it was well worth it!
