ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!!!! I ordered 3 rugs. 2-12 foot runners and 1-9x12 area rug. I called about to verify their return policy prior to purchase. They guarantee 100% refund if you are unhappy. All 3 rugs had factory defects. The rugs were shipped back FED EX. When I got the first return they had deducted $5.15 - supposedly a state tax. I challenged the deduction and they returned it immediately. Now I am waiting for the refund on the other 2 rugs. It has been almost 10 business days. TERRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL, RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and it now appears they do their best to keep part of your refund. BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

Absolutely the WORST customer service I've experienced in quite sometime! The prices are very attractive but make sure EVERYTHING is understood before placing an order. At payment, they said delivery was estimated for the end of the month. Without warning, they moved up shipment by 2 weeks causing me MAJOR problems since the delivery location is not staffed always. When I asked for their cooperation to hold the shipment at FedEX, the answer was 'wait until they try to deliver it then you have them hold it'. When I asked FedEx, they said the shipment had special instructions that without eSalerugs removing nothing could be done. eSales was 'not our problem' and wanted to charge me $72 to make the shipment change, then refused to do it when I offered to pay it! Crappy company, sounds like an overseas broker, hard to understand two of three employees! AVOID! read more

I believe in accountability. I am disappointed with esalerugs.com and their customer service. I do not want others to purchase a rug from this company and find themselves in the same situation. I purchased a beautiful outdoor rug in June 2022. However, within a month I noticed that the bottom of my feet were turning blue when I walked on the rug barefoot. Once I noticed this, I vacuumed the rug to see if this would solve the problem. It did not and I contacted the company. First they told me I should have the rug cleaned. I called a cleaning company and explained my problem. The owner of the company said he would not clean my rug. He was concerned the colors would bleed and ruin the rug. Once I shared this, the Customer Specialist told me that I ruined the rug by vacuuming it. I explained that I did not vacuum the rug until the problem existed. The best the company can do is offer me a 15% discount on a new rug. I do not trust that a new rug will be any different. Then I will have 2 rugs that turn my feet blue! This company responds to my problem by sending me a message that "we apologize for this inconvenience." This is not satisfactory. Buyer beware! read more

So they don't update their website, they take your money, they never tell you the item is out of stock until you call them...then they say will give you $50 to order another rug. All pictures were accurate and the rugs were delivered rather quickly every time. Purchased the solid white 8' x 11' Zermatt Shag Rug. It arrived folded in half and rolled so that it was 5 1/2 feet long. ESaleRugs boasts the carpet as being marked down from over $500 to $189!!! Too good to be true? YUP! This same quality rug can be purchased in Walmart for between $59 and $89. But I did go to Walmart, and its difficult to find a rug with matching poor quality. Iv'e never seen a carpet or rug so thin with such a sparse pile in all my life. Its so thin, you can actually see the backing while walking on the top side. As a result, the carpet buckles, warps and behaves like a plastic bag flowing in the wind. The only reason I gave it two stars is because of their return policy. Had I known that they would arrive three days apart I would have just bought the rug pad somewhere else so I could put it down. Two days ago, when we were about to buy a new rug for the great room, when I stumbled upon eSaleRugs ad on the NY Times news site. I looked around, found an exciting mix of prices, sizes and style variety (as well as a really cool tool they have to show prospects what any of their rugs would actually look like in the customer's home, with all furniture in place). I pointed it out to my wife, adding that, before doing anything, do a web search for customer feedback re: this unknown (to us, anyway) rug merchant. Today, she showed me her selection(s), we picked one, and we discussed customer feedback. (She'd checked the website--glowing reviews, of course--and searched out numerous other sources, all of which were relatively positive. She did not check Yelp, sadly.) It all sounded too good to be true, but we picked a rug, and she took it from there. I decided to run a web search myself, immediately found Yelp's information, and was appalled. Several of the complaints went right to my every concern. I then told my wife to hold off on doing anything about the rug, and my reasons for saying so. She turned pale, and said, "I've just completed the purchase on line." Ugh. So, I said, "Try to cancel the order." Turns out, she called them, and they cancelled the order without comment. We purchased a set of 3 rugs from the website. The entry and hall runners are OK; a little thin for the $. The large 7X10 we purchased for our dining room is complete garbage. After a few months it began to develop rolls; hills and valleys that no amount of placing heavy objects would cure. I finally gave up and bought a new rug elsewhere today and wish I hadn't wasted my money with these people first. :( PS - The "pad" they sell for under their rugs is not really a pad. I have purchased multiple times, at least 6 separate orders, from this company and am planning to order again today. Upon googling he website it pulled up yelp reviews so decided to take a look. My experience with this company has always been positive. They have always delivered the rugs within a week, unlike other companies which charge my card and then tell me rug is "on order" and they don't know when it will ship. Once I accidentally ordered the wrong color and I called them, spoke with an actual human who arranged exchange. The rugs I've ordered are relatively cheap, I'm a dog owner so no expensive rugs for me, and you get what you pay for. At least I can find a place where I can get matching rugs. Delivery was fast, but It's been 2 months the rug has been off-gassing in another room. Yesterday I moved it into its intended home, my bedroom, but after 2 days and 1 night I cannot stand the chemical smell it is still emitting and have removed it. It gave me a headache and cannot be good for pets who are even closer to it. While attractive enough, and the price was certainly right, what good is a rug I can never use? How long am I supposed to wait for it to finish off-gassing- or is this a permanent feature of a cheap rug? I bought the least expensive, on-sale rug as a test, before plunking down bigger bucks on others, but this persistent, perhaps permanent, unpleasant and maybe even unhealthy, chemical off-gassing cannot be considered acceptable at any price. Do not buy a rug from this company. The quality is terrible. The rug I purchased is extremely stiff and wrinkled. I spent weeks trying to flatten it out, including piling books on it and steaming the rug. It was not only unsightly, it was dangerous to have on the floor because of the rippled, uneven surface. eSaleRugs did communicate with saying they take customer service very seriously. And after seeing pictures of the stiff and wrinkled rug that truly was unusable, they gave me a $40 credit. I threw out the rug and wasted hours of time. Terrible customer service. I am stuck with a rug that is entirely too light for use. The company did not respond to my request to exchange the rug for a darker color until it was after the 30 day policy to do so. This is a sneaky way to run a business! I have to preface this with the comment that I am a repeat customer. My first order with esalerugs went very well. I received what I ordered in a timely fashion (rug plus non-slip mat). However, my second order was incomplete. I paid for a mat. The order says it was shipped. It was not. I paid nearly $70 for this mat. I have emailed "customer service" twice (they claim to pride themselves on customer service). All I get is an automatic reply. I have tried calling ("we are open 24/7"). I waited on hold one day for over 45 minutes. Not a single person picked up. I know we are living in strange times with COVID-19, but come on! I've ordered larger rugs from RugsUSA and Overstock and the rugs were properly rolled for shipping. The RugsUSA and Overstock rugs did not have any creases and nor were the crumpled. My rug has two very distinct creases/crease marks and is crazy crumpled. It just amazes me how eSaleRugs thinks this is acceptable. It's not! eSaleRugs needs to learn from RugsUSA and Overstock. I bought two runners from esalerugs 2 weeks ago. I had never bought rugs online and was nervous. The reviews were good on the website for sure but to be honest I only bought them because it was the only store I could find that had inexpensive Arts & Crafts/ Art Nouveau patterned rugs (from a wholesale company named Uniqueloom, which seems to have gorgeous rugs - I checked their website). I actually needed three runners (long hallway!) but only bought two - just in case they looked cheap/were not as described! They took one week to arrive - I was given a tracking number and they arrived on time. Fedex left them outside - they did not ring the doorbell but they never do anyway. The runners are really gorgeous! Even my husband commented on how beautiful they looked. The listing was very accurate - including the pictures. They are thick (1/2") -by my standards- and better quality than similar rugs I bought at TJMaxx (much better quality than Target for sure as I had checked them in the store). Any thicker and I would not have been able to open the various doors in my hallway. They do not look cheap or shiny, no synthetic smell either. It took a day for all the wrinkles to disappear (I did roll the runners in the opposite direction for one minute and this took care of 95% of the wrinkling, good old dictionaries for a day on the fringes). No shedding so far and they are really easy to vacuum. They hide dog hair really well too (black and white puppy!) I am planning to get the third runner and another rug for my living-room this week. As I have a puppy, I am not looking for expensive rugs, just good-looking rugs that I don't have to pay much for. Overall, it was really smooth experience and I was really surprised by the negative comments - this is what prompted my review. This company probably sells rugs from many different wholesale companies - which probably means differences in quality, quality control, etc. My runners were well-packaged with packaging from the wholesale/brand company. I purchased one of their rugs just a few weeks ago, at the end of September. The rug is already starting to unravel in 11 places. I reached out to their customer service center and was connected to LaTonya via email. I sent photos confirming the condition of the rug. For the past 2 weeks, we have been going back and forth. At this point, it does not seem that they are going to take care of the damaged rug. I have requested a full refund. They have yet to confirm that they will refund my money. They offered a $90 discount for a new rug, which is RIDICULOUS, as I now know how crappy their rugs are and do not want one from them period. I have asked for confirmation of a FULL refund and I have requested that they have a shipping company pick up and package the rug. They continue to offer a replacement, which of course I do not want, and refuse to give me a refund for a faulty product. I cannot stress enough how terrible this company has been to work with. I ordered a rug from here a few months ago. i was renovating my home office so i didn't open it right away. When i unrolled the rug, i thought it was very nice. The item was as described and the quality was as expected. The only problem was it was very small. I take responsibility for that. I also accept it took me a long time to get back in touch with them. Here is my gripe. I called to see if i could exchange it for the next size up and pay the difference. I would be happy to also pay the shipping charges in that process as well. A gentleman named Billy told me i would have to pay a 25% restocking fee, shipping back and then reorder the rug i wanted. I expressed that i thought that policy was unfair and was placed on a brief hold. After discussing with his manager they offered to reduce the restocking fee to 20% I told them i would have to think about it. I thought about it and decided that I would take the loss on the rug. I don't think i will be able to use it because its just too small. Esale needs to reevaluate how the handle exchanges. Not returns but exchanges. There is a huge difference. How you can charge someone a penalty who wants to order the next size up is a bad way to gain a long term customer. I hope they will consider changing that policy and their fees associated with returns. read more

Their business practices are a bit "off". I bought a rug online from their website according to the measurements that they put online. It was delivered today and when I laid down the supposed 4x6 rug it was 2" too long for the space that already fit a 4x6 rug pad by another brand so it was crawling up the wall a bit on one side. When turning the rug over it actually stated the rug is 4.1 x 6.1 so had I known that I would not have purchased. Here's where it gets good. They MADE ME TAKE PICTURES to prove the size was wrong before they would do the return. AND they also hide real reviews on their website and would not approve mine which stated fact. If they didn't do the return I would have done a charge back. Either way I'm done with this company. Much better places to get rugs out there. read more

I've ordered 3 rugs from them and have been disappointed in the last two. I ordered an outdoor rug from them this spring and within a WEEK the color was completely faded. It went from terra cotta to yellow. I contacted the company and sent photos and they agreed, but only provided a $50 credit on a $250 rug that literally I'm going to trash because it was to match the patio set and now it doesn't. I don't feel the refund was at all adequate. They said I could roll it up and return it for a partial refund... but how can we possible roll up a 9x12 rug for shipping without the proper equipment and it would cost a fortune. The 9x12 rug I ordered from esalerugs.com is quite unacceptable. It arrived folded in half vertically and then folded several times horizontally. This apparently damaged the matting and after over two months the rug still has not flattened out. There are several ridges running all the way across the rug, it is very uncomfortable to walk on and it looks horrible. I contacted the company and they refuse to do anything to help me stating it was over 30 days since the purchase. I was not informed when I ordered the rug that it would be folded or I would not have ordered it in the first place, anyone with any insight would know folding a rug damages it.
