Customer service is excellent. All the staff we came across with was great. Andrei at the front desk was welcoming however there was a snafu with breakfast buffet with the lady at breakfast check in. The lady had us down for 3 adults and 1 child when Andrei charged us additional 2,000 pesos per day for our child and was counted as adult due to our child's age. Anything above 12 is considered an adult. They didn't inform us that during booking. With the additional charge, we were told the price was inclusive of the breakfast buffet for the days we are here. The housekeeping staff was excellent and amazing. They came by several times to bring us towels, slippers and toiletries. There was also a water refill station outside our hotel room. Our room had an excellent view of the Taal Volcano. Our room also had a pretty balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast buffet was delicious and replenished throughout the time we were having breakfast. There are plenty of variety and food options for buffet from fresh fruits to waffles, pancakes and the traditional Filipino breakfast. There's too many to mention. They served classic Filipino traditional breakfast along with American, Chinese, Korean and Mexican style breakfast. They also offered a variety of freshly squeezed juices and breads. Along with freshly brewed coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Oh the icing on the cake were 3 men serenading you with live performance and instruments on hand. The elevation gives the city a much cooler climate than Metro Manila, which honestly is part of the appeal. After the heat and traffic of the lowlands, arriving in Tagaytay almost feels like stepping into another world entirely. The views overlooking the volcano are absolutely spectacular. Taal itself is fascinating because it is one of the world's smallest active volcanoes, sitting within a lake, which itself sits inside a larger volcanic caldera. The entire landscape has this dramatic beauty to it when viewed from the ridge roads and hotels perched high above the lake. For our Easter brunch, we chose the famous Taal Vista Hotel, which has one of the prime viewing locations in the area. The buffet itself was wonderful. There were many distinctive offerings ranging from Filipino dishes to international selections, along with a large assortment of desserts and breads. Everything felt fresh, plentiful, and beautifully presented. The service throughout brunch was also excellent -- attentive, warm, and polished in that distinctly Filipino way that always makes guests feel genuinely welcomed. But honestly, one of the most memorable parts of the experience was the entertainment. Throughout brunch, there were traditional Filipino folk dancers and performers moving through the dining area performing cultural dances in vibrant historical costumes. The music, movement, and dramatic presentation added so much atmosphere to the meal. It transformed brunch from simply eating into something celebratory and immersive. After we finished eating, my husband and I wandered outside to stroll along the viewing areas overlooking the volcano and lake below. The weather was absolutely beautiful -- cool breezes, soft clouds drifting over the mountains, and that peaceful Tagaytay atmosphere that always makes you want to linger a little longer than you planned. You would not think this didn't go anywhere! We actually tried booking through Airbnb but they only limit it to sixteen people; or I think Airbnb's requirement. The representative told us to communicate through Facebook instead as we needed a big group reservations for 30 as their description on Airbnb stated they can accommodate up to 30 people! Easy reservations with them via phone and the best place to go so far since visiting the main island! The resort has their own farm of fruits and veggies so everything is fresh and depends on the season; they can only make certain meals during the season. Food is pretty decent. We reserved the villa for our stay called - 'Sta. Teresita Villa' where it has its own private infinity pool. The villa has its own kitchen, two and half bathrooms and two bedrooms. It has great views! It was so awesome! We all didn't want to leave!! We also rented additional rooms that had outdoor jacuzzi's. You can order set meals for 5 or 10 or ala carte. Just to let you know, if you are used to American portions, you may have to order more than average. They have fresh buko drinks, too. They plan to add a zip lines in the resort. I can't wait! Tips to remember: - Weather is still very warm here so don't over dress. OK, I mean HOT and humid! - Bring bug spray especially during rainy season. Bugs are huge here!! Bring slippers! - pools have overhead covers so even if rained on, you can still swim. Bring waterproof camera bags. - No wifi except in the lobby. Free wifi. 3G goes on and off within the resort so good luck! No use coming here if you are working! - It's easy to use Waze to get here but leaving, make sure to start the Waze while using the wifi in the lobby or it won't turn on till a few km's out! Remember how you got there. - They do accept credit cards. - Bring snacks or drinks as their snack bar is limited. - Make sure to explore the resort, their crops and their pet snakes! - They do have a few blackouts. - Wake up before sunset to check out the lake and mountain views! Bring your good cameras! Also, love the weather in the morning! For my 650th review, I am dedicating it to Noni's Resort! Staff were very accommodating and super friendly for our big group! Prices were pretty good for our staff and what was offered. I will definitely recommend anyone to check them out and stay for a quick weekend getaway! You won't regret it! [69/100]

Me and my family found the place very cozy and homey. The place had paintings, frames, designs, and other trinkets that made it feel like a house. Their bathrooms were also very clean.We later found out that it was a family owned hotel and restaurant built in honor of the parents. Because we were in Tagaytay, we had to try their Bulalo. It was the kind of Bulalo that you know is pure beef, no beef cubes used. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was tender and the broth was delicious. We knew that we found one of the best Bulalos in Tagaytay. Other than Filipino dishes, Morielli's also serves Gourmet Sandwiches, Italian Pasta and other cuisines. Aside from the food, the experience was very personal because the staff was engaging and we read about the family that owned the place and the very sweet Father-and-Son chefs. After our meal, the staff handed us cards/certificates that had our names on them, what it meant, and our qualities as a person. It was really touching and heartwarming indeed. We were given a tour of the property, being shown the kinds of rooms they had, from the smallest suite that can fit up to four, to the biggest that can fit up to 8 comfortably. Only having less that 10 rooms, the whole hotel can only accommodate up to 40 guests. I'd like to see that as a good thing, because it can be occupied by one big family or group and they would have the entire property to themselves. My favorite would be the small room at the basement floor, which has a totally separate entrance at the side of the hotel. It has a small patio outside, complete with coffee table and perfect for quiet meals or reading a book. It's right by the highway, but just entering the lobby already gives that relaxed feel and vibe, it feels like you entered your home away from home. The general feel of the place is serene, very rustic, and exuding the relaxed and laid-back feel of the country. After all, this is Tagaytay, and there's no better quick getaway venue than the secluded Discovery Country Suites.

The balcony door was broken, but I decided to overlook that until I stepped into the bathroom and found flies. And it didn't stop there. The faucet was corroded and broken, and mold and mildew covered the shower & shower doors. Also the shelving was stained and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I went downstairs to speak with the receptionist, and asked if I had taken pictures or video. I just looked at her and asked for the manager. He asked to look at it together and looked surprised when he saw the room himself, he called the housekeeping manager to ask what happened. Both of them looked stressed. I pointed out the mildew and told them that doesn't build up in days, it takes weeks, so this room clearly hadn't been properly cleaned. While we were talking, I also noticed every door in the room had visible staining from who knows what. They had no explanation, so they offered to move me to another room. That one was just as bad, so I walked out of the hotel. Since I'd booked through my credit card company, the hotel couldn't refund me directly that day. I ended up filing a formal complaint with my credit card company, and I was refunded through them instead.
