After we all checked in, we explored each of the room. Some were super difficult, some were "easy". Each room lets you know if it's more physical, mental, or team work/ communication. Because each room is timed, I felt like I was in squid game without the gore and anxiety from pending doom. We did the Mob Boss room, and it did NOT disappoint. It was just the two of us because the rooms are private, and I actually loved that. We were able to work together, figure out our individual strengths, and tackle the clues as a team. And guess what? WE ESCAPED! We had a few clues along the way, but we ended up solving the room with just under TWO MINUTES left on the clock! Talk about cutting it close! We were so proud of ourselves when we got out. Molly was the staff member who helped us get checked in, sign the waivers, and get everything set up. She was friendly and helpful and made the whole process easy. And they don't just send you on your way after you escape. They have props available for pictures, and Molly took some photos of us afterward. It was such a cute way to remember the experience. My sister had so much fun that she immediately wanted to do ANOTHER escape room. Unfortunately, they didn't have another opening that day, but they did give us information about rebooking and a discount for coming back. I also really appreciated that they offer discounts for first responders. My sister is an officer, so that's an especially nice perk. There are several escape-room options in the Frederick area, but I'm really glad this is the one we chose. We had some small hiccups as beginner users and they stepped in at exactly the right times to keep us on track and make everything go smoothly. They achieved the perfect balance of being attentive to us without being intrusive to the experience. We had a 13 year old with us who had a blast. It's family owned, and Sarah they build the physical rooms them selves (so creative and well done)....but oh yeah, they also have Virtual Reality escape rooms too (can't wait to try those). We solved the puzzles out of order, so we got a little lost trying to solve puzzles that were already solved. Also, we wasted a couple of minutes thinking we had solved the room when there was more left. Overall, it's a good, stimulating experience. We will likely come back to try their Shipwrecked room. The service there is great. The staff is very accommodating. By the way, Yelp has the wrong phone number listed and I hear it's nearly impossible to change, so if you want to contact the staff, you'll have to do it from their own website.

We had a weird glitch happen mid-game but our game master Avery was really helpful in setting us back up to restart. Pretty busy area in Fairfax Corner but there is plenty of parking within a block of the building. If you love escape rooms, this place has multiple rooms for everyone.

The level of negligence here is staggering: * The Reminders: In the days leading up to the party, I received multiple confirmation emails and text messages reminding us of our upcoming celebration. * The Reality: We arrived with 12 excited children to find a dark building and a padlocked set of doors. * The Betrayal: To send automated reminders for an event you have no intention of hosting is a level of incompetence that borders on fraudulent. They allowed us to coordinate transportation and guest lists, only to leave us standing on a sidewalk with a dozen heartbroken children and a party in total shambles. I had to call multiple times just to get someone to answer. When they finally did, I received a dismissive "I'm sorry." Nothing else. No explanation for why they sent reminders for a closed building. No accountability for the logistical nightmare they created. Do not trust this establishment with your business, your money, or your children's memories.
