We had a great time at ETN. We did the Jumanji-themed room and had a wonderful time. We would definitely come back!

Unfortunately, we did not escape but we want to return to try the other rooms. Pro Tip: 1. Compare prices between Groupon and the direct vendor. 2. Pay attention to the hosts instructions before entering the escape room. 3. Work together as a team. 4. Use the bathroom before entering

Earlier this week, I took my kids to Red Door Escape Room, for their first escape room experience. They loved it and immediately asked to go back! I prefer supporting small, local businesses any time I can, so I chose Moore Escape Rooms for our next adventure! We chose Mystery Mountain. At $27 per person, it ended up feeling like a scam, to sit in a fully lit room and open locks for an hour. Poorly clued puzzles required an unreasonable leap in thinking. Specifically, after solving a clue and opening a lock, there was no logical next step, unless we got a hint from the employee. We'd already figured out and attempted most of the hints by the time they showed up on the screen, but didn't know where or how to apply them. I'm not sure if we were doing the directional locks wrong, but the coordinates that opened the lock, were ones we'd already figured out and used. Equipment error shouldn't have been able to ruin the entire experience. Also, there wasn't other things for people to do in the room simultaneously, so we ended up sitting in a circle, in the middle of the dirty AstroTurf, all trying to work off the same pieces of paper, everyone holding a lock in their hands. Boring. I assumed the lights would at least dim, the closer to sunset it became, to add a sense of urgency to the gameplay! Nope, just a fully lit fluorescent bulb overhead. No background forest noises either. They're was just very little attention shown to game immersion. The room could've used a better mix of puzzles and tasks (including finding hidden items) in addition to ciphers and locks. This could've encouraged different thinking strategies and some physical activity. I'd love a refund, but I know that's a big ask. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back and I will be leaving this same review online, not because I'm mad, but because that's a lot of money to spend on an experience that not much care, maintenance, or thought seemed to go into.

THIS PLACE WAS SO FUN! We came here as a group of four to enjoy "The Lakehouse: An '80s-inspired…read moresupernatural thriller". The Sanctuary Escape Games is located at the OKC outlet malls, which means plenty of parking, but it can be very busy depending on the time of day. We came at night, so we had no issue. Their waiting room is somewhat small with just two benches, but the game masters are incredibly informative. I felt like I was almost getting too many tips or advice and was ready to prove someone wrong, haha. What do you mean, I need patience to tackle an escape room? I've only ever done ones that were go-go-go! Jace (or Jason, maybe?) let us use their restroom and drop off belongings into a locker. Then he led us to a small room where we watched a video to set the vibe. Lastly, he led us to the first part of the escape room. I want to tell you everything about it, but I don't want to spoil anything! It's got the vibes of Stranger Things, if you're into that. And the GM was right, you have to take this room one puzzle at a time, which put me in my stretch zone in terms of testing my patience. I would suggest that you shouldn't do The Lakehouse with more than four people, simply because you cannot multitask, and the space is somewhat small. Arts department deserves a hall of honor, as the room was decked out to the nines, and I could tell they put soooo much work into it all. The escape room was so fun and honestly kinda wild and has the vibe of a jump scare at any time, but I don't think one actually happened. I love to debrief with my teammates on the escape room afterwards, and it was just so much fun to relive the hype. We escaped with 2 minutes left to spare. Phew. Yes, I'll come again!!! I'm jealous you get to experience The Lakehouse for the first time if you go.

Three of the five people in our group had never done an escape room, so we chose "Cabin in the Woods", as it was supposed to be challenging, but easiest of the 3 rooms. I've done multiple escape rooms on both the east and west coasts and, in my opinion, this one is definitely above average, especially for the price! "Cabin in the Woods" in particular is the perfect room for groups that include beginners: it was difficult enough that we all felt engaged the entire time, despite our varying levels of experience, but not so difficult/complex that my first-time friends couldn't keep up or contribute. The clues were given only when absolutely necessary and were vague enough to point us in the right direction without giving too much away. We were all very pleased with our experience here and are hoping to squeeze one more visit in before we leave next week!
