Walked in to book a room at 9:00pm, Caroline told us that they were short staffed and to call to reserve a spot the next day for when we come in. Came in the next day at 7:40pm after we had called hours prior to do a room and Chrissy who apparently is the manager told us that the room was booked and that her staff isn't trained correctly and got their information wrong and that we should just fuck off. Such a terrible experience. If I could give this place zero stars I would. read more

This was such a great experience that the entire family can join in on! The graphics are amazing and you can tell that they spent a lot of time and effort working on the room and the clues! If you are looking for something fun that engages your critical thinking skills, then this is something to try out! This was the best escape room we've been in. The staff was super friendly and fun. Chrissy and Carley were great and walked us through everything assisting us in our moments of need. There were 6 of us in the Western Bank Heist room, some of us had been in escape rooms previously and some of us were newbies. We escaped! It was not easy, the interactive puzzles really test your brain power and the puzzles are well thought out. This will not disappoint, can't wait to try the other rooms. Good solid company. The rooms are well done and clear but some riddles for experienced escapers are just plain dumb. Haha so don't over think it. Seriously. We did the puppet theatre and we got out with 15 mins left. Lots of fun. Lots of tech. I would recommend. read more

This was my first time doing an escape room so I don't really have an experience to compare it to, however- it was not as elaborate or exciting as I was expecting after researching the idea online. We did the "Billy the Kid" room where the objective was to help rob a bank. When we were walked to the room, we were expecting the worker to tell us a backstory or what our character would be, but he just went over the safety rules instead. When we began to look for clues, we found a piece of gum stuck to a popsicle stick under the bench- being that it was a big item we thought it must be fake, and part of the clues, we were informed later that it was just a piece of trash. The tasks mostly consisted of opening combination locks that came with a combination so it was not gratifying or challenging to complete them. I would recommend purchasing a Groupon for this, so that you don't waist so much money to be disappointed. read more

We went here and spent an hour in the room. It was hard but fun. The only problem I have is that some of the puzzles went poorly. We did the theater room. The ball didn't fully drop. The key didn't fit in the hole unless forced. We placed the number right and the compartment didn't open. At the end they basically told us "too bad." I think that if the guy watching us was paying more attention or if the team was more apologetic. Instead they told us "if it didn't work then it didn't work." I won't be going back. read more

My family and I have done about 20 escape rooms all around the country. The one we did here was one of the worst and it saddens me to say that as someone local. We did the puppet escape room, their newest, hoping it was the coolest one where they had learned the most about game design. Not only was there basically no story and the intro video didn't play, but there was no reasoning at all. It was just entering random numbers you find in the room all over the place. Things would open without fanfare in other rooms - why? No idea, no story element, just because we entered this key code and why THIS code and not another we had? Because that one was used over here. That might sound lame (I get it, you get and use codes) but my point is there was nothing here other than find a code and try it everywhere. Bleh. Again, this comes from veteran experience. I wish I could say something positive. Maybe another room, but I'm not willing to try it at the cost it costs a family. read more

Having been to a number of escape rooms, this was one of my least favorites. First, the positives: the technology was pretty cool, as were the props. We were in the The Dig, just myself, my wife and our 2 kids. There were some unique puzzles, and "the action" that happened in the room when you solved some of the puzzles were quite impressive. But the negatives: this room was pretty near impossible to solve without massive amounts of clues. This wasn't my first rodeo, and some things just didn't logically make sense to put together to solve other things. I know that sounds vague, but I don't want to reveal anything I shouldn't here. I'm just not a fan of NEEDING clues to solve a room - things should make sense. After not solving the room, the remaining clues were explained to us so we'd know how close we were - and we weren't close. We would have never figured our way out of this room, no matter how much time we were given. Too bad, because visually, this place was pretty cool. read more

This place over all is super fun really clean and modern and such a cool concept. we did the dig and did not succeed. the entire room was pretty amazing and everything that happened was super cool. the only complaint was the guy who was watching us play he would give us certain hints that helped but then when we were doing good he would give us hints we didn't need. we were stuck for like 20 min of our time with no hints and with 5 minutes left he gave us a clue. we ended up gets super close but couldn't figure out the very last part and lost. my only complaint was the employee who helped us out it seemed like he wanted us to fail. read more

This is our second time here and we had a blast again! It is great for kiddos (6 and 3) who were excited to help solve clues too.

Had a fun time in a challenging room. It was challenging and fun. We did the Theater room with 8 people.

We went shortly after they opened and tried The Submarine. The room theming was very detailed. Unfortunately, while we did complete the room, many of the puzzles did not work due to planning and computer glitches. It seemed that the room had not been adequately play-tested. We had to be given the solution to a puzzle because the coded message was incorrect. The staff was friendly but ultimately, the room let us down. read more

This is an updated review. I have to say that my first experience was very poor and I gave Escape the Room a poor rating. I also told my husband (who is an avid escape room player as well) that we would NEVER be coming back. However, after posting my review, Carley, the manager reached out to me and asked that I give the business a 2nd chance, assuring me that she would make the 2nd experience much better than the first. I agreed and booked The Submarine for me + 4. The room in terms of decor was fabulous and though I have done quite a few escape rooms, this one had a new twist that I haven't actually ever seen replicated before. (No spoilers!) Our clue master was extremely helpful and assisted when necessary with being overbearing or annoying. He was very attentive and could sense when we got stuck without us needing to "ask" for a clue. Carley and the clue master did a great job turning my very negative experience into a positive one. read more

I really wanted to enjoy this place. The first time I went to an escape room, I had a blast. I was really hoping that this place would be just as fun and entertaining, but unfortunately, this was a major disappointment. My friends and I decided to do The Dig, and there were simply too many issues to make it enjoyable. Doors would open when we did not meet the requirements for them to do so, padlocks would not open when we put the correct codes in, etc. There were too many problems to justify a 30$ entry fee. If Escape the Room fixes the problems and makes the rooms playable, it would be great. The aesthetic of the room was great, and the things we had to do were interesting, but the majority of it did not work. Wait a while before coming here to give them time to fix the problems, and you might have a better time than we did. read more

If I could rate 0 starts I would. I booked a room for 6 for my husband's birthday on September 20, 2019 and my dad passed away unexpectedly on the 16th. I obviously could not attend the escape room and the company still has not given me a refund. They gave me store credit however, I do not ever want to return because of the way they are treating my family. All the miscommunication and run around has been extremely stressful all of $205. They should have refunded me immediately because of the circumstances but now it is in the hands of the regional manager. I had to provide a copy of my dad's death certificate and they still haven't got back to me. Also, on the 20th the front desk proceeded to call me asking why I wasn't there for the scheduled escape room when I called multiple times letting them know I needed a refund and would not be attending. I do not want to support a business that is making me go through all of these hoops in an unexpected/extreme situation. For example, Pitre GMC let us return a brand new truck and returned my dad's check with no questions asked. Santa Fe Ski resort refunded my dad's annual ski pass...no questions asked and sent a condolence letter in the mail. Both of the amounts far exceeded $205. It is ridiculous that Escape the Room has not refunded $205 back to my family.This is truly unacceptable. read more
