A couple of days later, a R&H employee called me (I think her name was India) and asked if I could move my time to either 12:30pm or in the evening - 5:30pm because when I booked, there was some kind of system glitch. She didn't really provide any great details, but I assumed she was telling me that two groups were booked at the same time. It sounded a bit sketchy to me since she didn't really provide much details. I told her that I don't think it would work for us, but I would reach out to my colleagues. I reached out to everyone in my party and as suspected, the earlier time did not work for the entire group. I reached back out via text to let R&H know. The next day, someone called me again and told me that if I cannot move up to 12:30pm or later in the day, then they will have to cancel the booking and I will be refunded for it. Despite booking less than a week before the event, I had been planning a teambuilding event with my colleagues for over a month. I didn't want the opportunity to go to waste, so I reluctantly agreed to move to the 12:30pm timeslot. R&H did tell us we can return free of charge in the future due to inconvenience. When we arrived on Saturday November 23rd, we had a colleague who was arriving a couple of minutes late. We were informed that we would still have to end on time because there was a party scheduled afterward. HMMMMM!!! This is when my suspicions became confirmation. I always suspected there was something odd about the "system glitch." I don't believe there was a glitch... I believe there was someone who wanted to host a party there, during the timeslot we originally booked. I totally get why they would want to cancel our session - they would receive a lot more money from the party than our group. I do, however, think this was a bad business decision. This was something that showed a lack of integrity... I would have preferred they be honest and say, "hey, someone really wants your timeslot." I don't like the way they handled this at all. Because of this, I am deducting two stars from what would have been a five star review. If you're interested in reading about the actual escape room experience, here it is: Despite the escape room being a bit dusty (it needs a cleaning under and around some areas), we had a BLAST in the actual escape room. We did the Cell Block room and we did not escape, unfortunately. It was definitely a challenge! Maybe if we had our fifth group member we would have made it further. It was so much fun and it looked like it was a Black owned business. I love supporting Black owned businesses but I am not sure I can support this one based on how they move. Despite being able to return for free, I don't think I will... who's to say there won't be a "system glitch" when I book again?

During the weekends you'll see the pool taken over by youth swim lessons. The deck is very small/narrow. When walking you might bump into a lifeguard walking and doing their job on the deck. It feels tight. There are no high bleachers so come early to find a good spot to watch from. They do have benches surrounding the pool on the deck. The center is an older center but has all your basic needs. Locker rooms don't appear the cleanest but has showers. The shower water goes from warm to cold when more than 1 or 2 are using it. This location also has a preschool with a small playground on site.

The moms got to relax, conversate, and watch as he took care of everything. We were there for about a hour with the 500 paintballs package. The boys had a great time as it was their first experience and we look forward to coming back. The only wish is for the company to offer discounts /longer hours during the week as prices can be a little heafty. I genuinely enjoy this facility and wanted to share some feedback regarding the current pool safety…read morepolicy, specifically the requirement that children under 48 inches remain within arm's length of a parent or guardian in the toddler pool area. While I appreciate the facility's commitment to safety, I believe this policy may benefit from review in certain circumstances. My five-year-old is slightly under 48 inches tall and is a capable swimmer but he was still given a yellow bracelet because of his height. During our recent visit, a staff member (she seemed to be the one in charge) told us about the arm's length requirement while my son was playing in the shallow toddler pool area, which only reaches ankle depth. I fully support close supervision requirements in deeper water or for infants and young toddlers. However, the current policy creates some practical challenges in the toddler pool area: 1. The shallow depth of the toddler pool presents minimal risk for older children who can swim. 2. Multiple parents attempting to maintain arm's length proximity in a confined space leads to congestion and difficulty navigating around one another. Which can make things even more difficult trying to keep an eye on your child and your child's constant movement when you have a parent in front of you trying to keep an eye on their child. 3. The policy becomes impossible to enforce when children use the toddler play structure and mini slides, where parents cannot physically maintain arm's length distance. Maybe some parents can fit going up the structure, but we certainly cannot fit going down the slide. We would have to go back down the steps of the play structure and then try to get to our child who most certainly is farther away from us because kids do not sit still. I believe a modified policy that considers both the child's swimming ability and the water depth would better serve families while maintaining appropriate safety standards. Perhaps children who demonstrate swimming competency could be permitted greater independence in ankle-deep water, while maintaining stricter supervision requirements in deeper areas.

All competitive lanes were closed for swimming even though they were advertised as open online. :( I have yet to see the diving boards used as they appear to be permanently shut down. Also, please, be very careful when you come and go. Every single time I have been there, someone has slipped and/or fallen on the facility's wet floors in the entryway. No cash is accepted...you will need to pay electronically. Lap swimming (link) is available by reservation only Monday - Thursday (drop-ins are permitted on a space-available basis but be aware that the lane you pay for may be shared with another swimmer). Reservations are not accepted or required Friday - Sunday (drop-ins only) - Most recent hours of operation (link), but call or check their website for additional closures.
