Seafood Pasta: Angel hair w crawfish, crab meant, scallops and shrimp. Light creamy base
    Kelly C.

Locally family own restaurant with a casual dining ambience. Open and airy environment with about 20-25 tables which can seat 1-8 people depending the table configuration. Came on a Friday night around 7 and it was busy but we were able to be seated. Stayed for about 1 1/2 hours and the place was steady. 4.75 Stars - Staff ( believed all family members) were friendly, professional, and efficient. The chefs kept the food coming out and the servers and helpers made sure your drinks and food was served in a timely manner. Food: 3.75 - 4.25 Stars Appetizer - 3.75 Stars : Fried Green Tomatoes topped Flaky Crab Meat in a light creamy sauce. The creamy sauce was too thin. Needed a roux or cornstarch to slightly thicken it up. There are four small - medium sized green tomatoes as the foundation for the crab meat w kinda' Cajun creamy sauce which gave the tomatoes a sweeter taste. The tomatoes were slightly acidic being "green tomatoes". Definitely needed a little bit of black pepper and salt. The creamy base was okay. Just needed some more seasoning and to be thicker. Entree's: 3.75 Stars - Seafood Pasta. An Angel hair dish served with crawfish, two scallops, four shrimps and crabmeat in a light Cajun seasoning creamy sauce. A healthy portion of the pasta and seafood. HOWEVER, the dish could have been soooo much more tasty. Lightly seasoned with Cajun spices and a hint of garlic. Salt and pepper was definitely needed to enhance the flavor. Dish has the potential to be really good. 4.25 Stars - Grilled Shrimp and Scallops w fried potatoes and sautéed veggies. Both the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly; tender and soft. You can cut the items with a spoon. Especially the scallops; they were buttery in taste and were wonderfully seared. The seasoned on the shrimp and scallops had enough heat to tell you, "Hey, taste me cuz you will like what I bring"! Only thing missing was some acid and tart from a lemon or lime. None were accompanied with the dish. My wife added a lemon from her water. Server didn't asked or presented any lemons for the dish. Dessert: Tres Leches 4 Stars it was sweet, savory and the sponge cake was light and airy. The whipped cream with the chocolate drizzle and sweetened milk was wonderful. Definitely needed an espresso or cappuccino which they don't serve. Overall: we will be back to taste other menu options. Also, they have Couple Date menu for $35 (Mon-Wed) and a $75 ((Thurs-Saturday) special where the couple will get ONE Appetizer, TWO Entrees and a ONE Dessert to share. I believe that is a Pretty good deal!

This is a family owned and operated business. They are all so kind and gracious. Prepare to be there a while, but it's worth the wait. Get your tres leche cake when you sit down because they run out on the weekends. The pasta dishes were delicious and my filet was very tasty, cooked MR and tender. The seafood tastes fresh. The house made poppy seed salad dressing is great! The fried green tomato app is ridiculously good. The spinach artichoke dip is good but did not bowl us over. The sauces aren't as thick as you would imagine a cream sauce to be but the taste is spectacular. My husband and I had the dinner special for 2 and it's a really good deal with great menu choices.

went for an extended family dinner and ordered a variety of items but not as many as we would have liked. they only had ingredients to complete two of the appetizers listed on the menu. although that was disappointing we ordered the crab and the fried green tomatoes that were available. both were just okay as was the overall consensus of the group. food presentation was ok but sides such as vegetables seemed to be overcooked and previously frozen . the interior of the restaurant is geared more for family dining with bright lighting and tables. one positive was the couples special offered on the rear of the menu.

I never miss my chance to eat here once or twice a year when I travel to Flowood. They remember me every time and all the food is amazing. I will always stop here every chance I can come to town.

    Blackened redfish sandwich lunch special
    Dawn M.

First time visit to Eslava's Grille. I saw they had a redfish sandwich as the lunch special and knew I needed to make my way for a visit. I got there at 11:15 and if I had been 5 minutes later, I would be waiting on a table. My server Magda greeted me quickly and I placed my drink and food order. She was super nice. Checked on me here and there while handling all of her other tables. Food did not take too long and was hot when it hit the table. I was glad they gave me the salad ahead of time so I could enjoy it without worrying if my fish was getting cold. I loved the raspberry poppy salad dressing. I would order an entree salad if I could have a whole bottle of that. I didn't think the potatoes would be good as they looked plain, but they were lightly salted and actually tasted really good. The fish was very good. The bun was slight toasted just a bit more than I would have liked but it was not a deal breaker. I really enjoyed the whole thing. At $10 for an entree, salad and side of potatoes, this was a very good trip. From food to service, it was definitely worth the drive down Lakeland to dine here.

Unfortunately, the hostess indicated that the restaurant doesn't allow dine-in guests one hour before closing. I proceeded to go with the takeout option instead. At this restaurant, daily specials are offered. Since I came on a Thursday, I opted for the seafood boil deal that came with 1 lb of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn, and red potatoes. I customized the flavor as the "Mighty Special" - Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Butter all combined. For the spicy level, I chose "Hot." The total was only $36.99! This was such a steal, especially since the seafood boil bag was generous. When trying it, it was honestly so flavorful and palatable. The sauce literally made the crab legs, shrimp, corn, and potatoes beyond tasty. Mighty Crab serves satisfying seafood boils with mouthwatering bold flavors! This spot is definitely worth paying a visit to.

The original restaurant, to me, was better and food more flavorful and tasty. Tres Leche Vanilla and Chocolate were really good. The menu was impressive and a little pricy. The ribeye steak was cooked as requested but not a good steak taste. In addition, scallops and shrimp were brought after the steak had been served. We requested no crab meat on the fish due to dietary requirements. The server asked if it was still okay to add the mushroom gravy sauce. We said yes. The fish was topped with shrimp that wasn't asked if that was an acceptable substitution. There was no mushroom sauces. The vegetables and potatoes were less than desirable.

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.

That was delicious. Also got the lobster and crawfish dip ok and one can never go wrong with calamari which was also good. For dinner, I had the salmon and grits and kale. It was ok because not quite what I was expecting - I was expecting spicy and it was too sweet for me but might be my fault for not fully reading the description and being focused on the Cajun seared aspect of it. It was still good though. Nothing superb but filling and loved the crunchy kale on top. Really liked that they were open on a Monday and they were fast. At one point, too fast because one of my co- diner's dinner came too soon while still eating their salad. For dessert, we got the cinnamon roll cheesecake and shared it.
